Went to US for training I was 34 and one of the youngest , we had 44 and up working on stuff. 55 year old lady doing some advanced IOS engineering. In Nigeria we think 40 is too old for Tech but outside its normal.

I have a good paying job and if you want to make a career change but don't want to invest in getting a guide to help you do that, I wish you all the best.

But if you need a detailed plan on how to get started and you're will to invest in that future be my guest.

Why do I charge if I have a good paying job you'll ask. Simple answer is I invested time and effort writing that and took time to research the topic.

This is my last response to the criticism.

This book is targeted to people who wants change and are committed to making that happen.

I think adding what type of Tech field you transitioned into will help, saying Tech generally doesn't help pinpoint what you could be talking about.

For me personally if I owned a Fintech I'd use Flutter, and the reason I support fman is because Flutter is cross platform with good performance unlike React Native. Also you can easily build Payment SDK once and have both platform use it. So it's why I say fman is right. Mobile dev headache is not the code but the time to maintain two platforms and skill.

You are right, they do have a lot of Flutter packages and Flutter SDK. I think people thought you said Flutter because of the Flutter in Flutterwave, but they do have a support for Flutter.

I'm currently learning dart on freecodecamp, and surmising from the over-a-day duration of the video. I thought it will be very in-depth and it'll cover all scopes of the program but i was wrong.

Despite the tutor claiming to use dart to explain the basics of oop concepts that will turn a complete beginner to a programmer. I, already knowing oop concepts through java book, notice clearly that the man did not touch all oop basics, and the ones he explained was just brushed over and not profound.

Most BootCamp touch surface level, even freeCodeCamp;

Documentation, Language Specification doc and books with Youtube works for the best. I did Aptech 4 years and never learnt anything useful. Self-learning has always worked, just read books, study and join some online open education.

Even in Andela BootCamp never went that deep, 1 year is not enough to teach core comp sci

Men my friend who's 27 and had a 2 2 got a well paying graduate trainee role at gt bank all because he knew basic python. He hasn't even created or built anything with it. It's crazy. I hope people take advantage of these opportunities now cause they won't be there forever.

Not just them but a lot, I sent 2 resume for Java Devs and they still needed more. A lot of opportunity for Nigerian devs to maintain for the time being and also learn at the same time.
