Said it all madone: If you ask me eh marrying marrying a girl is not about the age but the level of intelligence, spirituality and morals In the 90s I would have said 18years to 25years girls are good to go. But this 21st century my brother don't marry that age bracket. But if you must do then make sure the lady is well brought up from a good family and also that she has a mind of her own thereby she will not be influenced by pair pressure from all those marine children on IG and tiktok. |

Career › Re: My Friend's Mother Suspended Her From Her Company For Fighting Her Staff by Quebec91(m): 1:56pm On Aug 31, 2023 |
Thats my type of woman, a disciplinarian and a no no nonsense woman that stand on truth and standard IconicR: Nairalanders please is it fair for a mother to suspend her own daughter for fighting her staff?
My friend's mother owns a large company with lots of staff, so she recently completed her nysc program and waiting to be called up for a job so she had to put up at her mum's company as an intern and she was doing her job well to see things done.
Most of the staff do not like to take instructions from her and this has resulted to altercations with most of them, they keep reporting to her mum till a meeting was finally called.
The staff seems to have connived against her and without even bothering to hear her side of the story her mum said she knows what she can do and she won't allow her to cause problems in her company, so she immediately suspended her and ask her to leave and go home.
The staff were happy with this judgement and some made some snide remarks while she was leaving.
This thing has really troubled her recently and she's thinking maybe her mom doesn't like her as she stated that if it were her brother she won't give such judgement.
Was she wrong in trying to put things in order which resulted to most of those fights with the staff?
Was the mum right to have passed such kind of judgement before her staff ?
My friend's mom told her to go resume next week on the condition that she'll behave well but my friend told her mum she's not stepping foot in her company again.
Nairalanders please without being biased who is at fault here? |

Sports › Re: Rules Of Football When We Were Kids by Quebec91(m): 12:07pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
Kalatium: Gone are the days when boys were real boys as I look back in nostalgia. Below were rules of football when we were kids, damn it was fun
1. The fat kid was always the goalkeeper.
2.The owner of the ball decides who plays .
3. If you didn't participate in repairing the ball you were given a match ban.
4. The guy who's never picked was to fetch the ball from the trees or bush when it got stuck, under the car or tunnel to play in the next game.
5. When the owner of the ball got annoyed, game over.
6. When you hit your toes against a stone and you notice blood, you quickly cover the area of injury with sand as a form of first aid and play continues.
7. You can't dribble the owner too much, this may lead him to stop the game by taking away his ball.
8. No matter how many goals you scored, the winner would be determined by the last team to score.
9.No offsides.
10.There is no referee.
11.There is fault only if the fault is serious .
12.The 2 best players can not play in the same team so everyone chooses their players.
13.If you are chosen last it is a humiliation and you will remain in defense.
14.If there is a penalty the goalkeeper is replaced by the best player of the team.
15.The best player on the field is always in the same team as the owner of the ball.
16.There is always a house where if the ball fell there, we knew that the game was over. so be careful !!
17. To distinguish the teams, one of the teams take off their shirts .
18.Game over when its dark and we can barley see the ball, we all disperse in groups teasing one another until we get home to face another punishment from our parents.
Africa is our home. Childhood was fun. |

Exactly AllenSpencer: I want to believe the girl is hungry and why you had the effrontery to throw such proposal at her!
She should become a baby mama because of dual citizenship? Does dual citizenship guarantee her love, affection, or marriage. Will same dual citizenship put food on her table in an eventuality?
Location does not “GUARANTEE” that kids will be a blessing. There are records of kids becoming very successful within Nigeria and internationally.
I don’t see a single thing she has to gain. If she was selling the babies to you, that would have been better. She has absolutely nothing to gain. All promises made are not guaranteed. Moreover, the proposal is insultive. |
