We're not ready for all this. they should have been rounded up and executed. What kind of nonsense opening gun fire at prayer times. Its becoming beyond ridiculous.
This political mayhem needs to stop!

I believe bluffs have been called, there may actually be no emails.

But if thats the case and people no longer wanted to help due to these 'emails' and shyed away from chiomas case then thats pretty bad. Situation was a bit serious to be playing with like that. Afterall a child was involved.
O well

pslm23:
Like I said before, kudos to Ify, Cc, mutter and all the other women and men who went above and beyond and  truly tried to help Chioma and the baby. Your hearts are in the right place so please never change who you are based on some of the postings made here.
Chioma says the baby is fine and in a home now. Fine, lets wish them luck and stop all the bickering and move on with our lives
Yes like THAT will happen! Face it, mama destiny will be a serious case study for nlers and underage sexers from now til we get bored.

Thats why most of us are here at the end of it. And for some of us to learn lessons and some to tell our children. Maybe even destiny will hear it.

Thanks for the update bb ur the only one that can shed some light on this, i dont know why the op was soo reluctant too it might have saved her some trouble and earned her more trust.
Anyways at least the baby is here hopefully she can get back to uni and do what she needs to do. Someone mentioned misplaced priorities. Its not, her education comes first in this case unless you want her to be living in a bq with a baby and living on glucose for the rest of her life. And noone is beyond mistake so none of us take a moral highground but mama destiny seemed super shady.
Hopefully we can get a photo. Ill like to see the baby. And hopefully she looks back on all this and can find the humour. I can honestly say i will never survive in her position but strength is beyond strength so i give mama d respect for that.
If anyone else finds herself pregnant early like this please think of the solution before 8months, thats the first step. Whatever decision you make is for the better of both of you. And always understand you have options, nigerians can sit and preach the bible till jayzuz arrives but in the end only you will be living your life, food for thought.
Family › Re: A Baby Girl, she Is Just A Week Old. by queensmith: 11:38pm On Jan 29, 2012
^ i dunno if the us is the same as the uk, but if u drop ur baby like that here theres no chance of u ever seeing it again. Its irreversible. And its likely social services will keep an eye on you from then forward.
So it will be square one. Tho if ur underage they will definitely help with caring for the baby if you wish to keep it.

Have they found homes for real? Is the situation resolved this time? Or will mama destiny be back again to give us another cliffhanger??

Til next week!

They really do need to legalize abortion in that country, this case is striking, but my attention is now shifting to the 'chiomas' of Nigeria that don't have parents or blackberrys.
Or education
Sometimes not even a choice, tis a big shame really.

new developments. . . . . .

nekai u keep saying shes an adult, she is still in school no1, got herself into this predicament without thinking of how to handle the situation no2, and the baby is now 2 weeks old shes running around like a headless chicken. I'm sorry but she sounds very much like a child to me.
I think an adult will have handled this sooooo differently,

@those 'commending' her for not having an abortion. . . . .really now? . . . . really? Didnt realise it was an acheivement having a baby like this. Must have missed those classes. I cant not early this morning I cant.

isale_gan- more to the reason why i dont believe the story. too much of it doesnt add up.

@moremi I guess so, one will just have to be open minded to accept it. But what explains the fact the child has no daddy, chioma a soo called student of a private school not having any money to eat yet still having somewhere to stay and hide the baby for 2 weeks?
Family › Re: Men Who Suffer In Silence by queensmith: 11:58am On Jan 27, 2012
@harakiri

You can be sick down to your balls if you want.
You have stated men are not getting married because women are manipulating, then used 50cent as an example. Did he tell you he was going to marry before?
Are his parents married? Is he from a family of married people? Reason objectively and stop throwing around agenda. Even if he didn’t have money the man will  be on the streets trading coke and sleeping in his baby mommas house. So lets stop with the foolishness.
In Nigeria, these things do not exist so your theory still gives no excuse as to why some men still have baby mammas? Is it not beneficial to a child to have a proper family? Must everything be about this soo called manipulating devil woman?
No i didn’t bother to read the post from last page i was commenting on the reason you gave for men not wanting to get married. You cannot continue to use these celebrities as an example. They are not like you and me, they have millions of dollars you don’t!

Not all baby daddies pay child support, and do baby daddies pay child support in Nigeria? Whats the name of THAT agency?
And sometimes its not all about the money- there is actually much more to the responsibilities of a father than dropping money on the table? I really can’t believe im hearing these things in this day and age smh

Did somebody mention tiger woods? Did he not ruin his own marriage? The man destroyed his home with his own hands so what is all this im hearing? Dear lawd!
Family › Re: Men Who Suffer In Silence by queensmith: 10:46am On Jan 27, 2012
^^ very funny- you dont beleive men are now avoiding marriage simply because they are running away from responsibilities and commitment? you speak as if most of the time these baby daddies play any sort of fathering role? i say this because of the 50cent u mentioned.
What kind of example?

@mutter- the story doesnt add up at all. no matter how you look at it.she carried a pregnancy undetected for 8 months. yes i will love to see that, i will just love to.

@freecoacoa- nobody will recognise her from the baby ba? besides i just want to see the baby. its a newborn, every one likes to look at babies! lol
besides, i dont need confirmation of anything, she seems capable and well put together. if this is all true im sure she will work it out.

Ooooo i can post again!

Seriously from the outside looking in this seems quite pathetic.

Does the girl have food now or a bit of money now? How is the baby? Can we get a photo yet?
Romance › Re: Should A Man Help Out His Wife/Girl-Friend In The Kitchen? by queensmith: 11:33pm On Jan 26, 2012
@queensmith:
all this trash you're spewing shows that you're yet to get real.
Since you've not been found capable and eligible by any of your Nigerian nay black folks, the "ajekuu" Oyinbo that cant even buy his own wedding gifts that you hope to marry will "show you color" at the appropriate time.Rolls eyes here we go did someone touch a sensitive spot? Candy get stolen? Pele
I will not call your typical Yoruba man capable or eligible. Lets not forget you are telling me they are neither capable nor eligible of cooking for themselves when they are hungry. I don’t see how this is meant to appease me?
Oyibo men actually tend to be better husbands. Also i didn’t say my husband cant buy the wedding gifts (tho i thought the bride and groom received wedding gifts, oboii what are u sayinghuh) i said my parents will deal with the decorations since that is my culture. Accept it its different from yours. End off. No argument
The only colour ive seen with Nigerian men is the color bland, rhymes with boring goes with grey. The only thing to look forward to is the growth of his pot belly and demands for pounded yam. Ive seen it all before it doesn’t interest me. So before you decide to put another man down because you ignorantly believe he’s white think again.

You are here referring to women who cook for their husband as "dog", right? Cooking for your family is not "bouncing around in the kitchen". How old are you sef that you write such nonsense?
I've got news for you! Some of these women enjoy the best quality of marital life (peace on their home front and their husband literally worships them and does every imaginable hing for them! I am Yoruba and my wife is an example, and you confirmed it earlier!
And they've got great kids t show for it (my first sin will probably be close to your age and he is an Under-Gee in the University!

No don’t get me wrong, i said i’m not domesticated like an animal, i’m not trained to sit in the kitchen, its neither my inclination nor my calling. Its household pets we give room for in kitchens. Not human beings and certainly not women. I was hoping you will realise the comparison.
Don’t get me wrong some women enjoy cooking for their husbands and good for them! If you love doing it then fine. We don’t all love doing it, we don’t all derive our lifelong achievements from the husband rubbing his belly after eating your fufu. I will never feel a sense of fulfilment just because my husband ate my food, again i need to add this is not my calling! But not to step on those that do, alot of these woman seek love and affection they will never receive, the men normally cheat, abuse them in many ways and abandon them.
Im not an undergee in the university ooo like ur wife im getting my masters dude- but ill most likely use mine in an office and not the kitchen wink

Dont worry, continue to live in your fools paradise, we all know that "Oyinbo man" will marry at least three-to-five times in a life time so you could just be number one!

I wouldn't even dream about your kind of woman, not even for a house gaarl! Of what use is a woman like you whom all she knows is to claim 21st century rants instead of being the "Coordinator" of a thriving family?  How would you coordinate a family if you dont believe in "duties and responsibility" within the family"

Imagine the kind of "no-responsibility" kids that kind of marriage will also produce?
Hmmm,  . ,  . I put you in God's hand even though you said you dont acknowledge him!

Lastpag.
BTW: Whether we like it or not, the Bible still remains a valid "reference point" for human behavior, its a question of whether humans want to honestly do as it says or they want to "pick and choose" what to believe.

The bible is a valid reference point to you and those that share your religious sentiments, save it for the church fellowship please. Another thing i find incredibly frustrating when trying to debate with Yoruba men!

the situation is far from over (if its in fact true)
Education › How Do You Utilise Your Time? by queensmith(op): 9:22pm On Jan 26, 2012
This is probably the first actual dilemma i'll be bringing to Nairaland so i will appreciate sensible responses grin forgive me for the regular trolling i do! lol
Between trying to spend time with a partner, friends, family, going to the gym, getting enough tv a full time job and a master its becoming a major problem!
I CANNOT split myself into multiple pieces!
Now I've began my postgraduate it seems as if people are trying to make it WORST by constantly bothering me!
BB is off FB is dormant, and ive replaced my regular enterntaintment with NL but this time thing is still bothering me.

I'll like to know how most of you balance your social lives appropriately and still excel in academics (alot of money is being spent on this degree so anything less than a 1st class is out of the question)
I'd especially like to hear from guys, I know spending time with your partner is important but this degree is everything to me right now.

i dont believe the op for one 2nd. Im beggining to think people are being paid to write and ask nonsense.

this sounds like the question a typical nigerian woman wil ask- i dont see an american woman asking this in a million years! has insecurity written all over it!

sha sha lets assume this is a hypothetically original dilemma  grin grin

i think igbo men like food- cook plenty problem solved!
good luck with all that

^^ yes because i assumed u were typically nigerian and was right in doing so!

It doesnt matter if she is a phd holder- she has less use for it than you do if she still has time to bounce around the kitchen by herself everyday.
im not a christian so the bible quotes dont interest me- besides i find it incredibly fustrating when nigerians try to use the bible to back up thier backwards ideaology, show and prove to me in practical sense how this theory works!

alot of yoruba women are not in marriages- they are in hell. Obviously not all of them but ive seen enough to know sitting in the kitchen and being the ideal yoruba housewife doesnt guarantee a great marriage.

I wouldnt like your own kind of husband, tbh with you no offence.
Just because i have no intentions of sitting at home like a dog, expect him to share all household duties with me, also expect to do things around the house like gas my own car grin grin and the wedding or its preperations dont bother me at all.
the wedding will end wouldnt it? its the marriage thats important!
