Family › Re: Being Married To A Nigerian Is Hard Sometimes by queensmith: 8:39pm On Jun 12, 2012
I just wonder what a non yoruba woman will see in an 'off the boat' man. Seriously whats the appeal in an inherent misogynistic nature and backwards mentality? Especially the ones from the homes like that which the op described. A greedy ass mother that knows nothing but to live off the men in the family. I'm sure she's rocking the most expensive 'dubai' gold with the money the op and her husband don't have.

These people are pathetic, but woe unto the woman that choose to marry them sha you are the one that will be paying for your mother in laws frequent trips to london.

Celebrities › Re: Nigerian Celebrities And Red Carpet Dressing by queensmith: 8:17pm On Jun 12, 2012
Ah, theyre not improving at all!

empresss, jeans? Kilode!!

I'm proud of the waje though, they need to be wearing african clothes and promoting african designers. Most of them look a train wreck in their ill fitted outfits.
The men look a masquerade mess as usual, the 'oleku' singer looking like a 6th form student. Well done.
These people are stars meehn they need to get stylists and start dressing like it!
Politics › Re: Was Funmilayo Ransome Kuti The First Woman To Drive A Car? by queensmith: 7:58pm On Jun 12, 2012
gemstone22: I believe its more polite to SHUT UP If u don't have a REASONABLE contribution to make to a thread. Mrs Kuti wasn't only the first woman drive a car and a bike, she also has a lot of other achievements to her name. These u can read about if u take the time. At a time when women were not heard but seen, she put her feet down and got women to protest for their rights. She wasn't a pushover and she spread the word so all women born and unborn could also be considered important by the government. Next time u want to diss a woman like Mrs Kuti, read well and long before u do so. Its so sad to note that u r even female. Mtcheeeeeeeeew
You are also a nonsense individual, we are talking about the legacy built out of being able to drive a car. You speak as if women are still not hidden under subordinate umbrellas in Nigeria. Granted it's not Saudia Arabia but its no less backwards. This nonsense topic being a clear reason how.
If this thread was celebrating her soo called 'plethora of acheivements' (that the world has never seen) *rolls eyes* then maybe the conversation will be different.
Bottom line- this is a nonsense legacy. #thatisall. Its not as if she was even the first woman to drive a car, i'm very sure she had seen and known that women have been doing it for years and just brought a 'fashion statement' from europe to Nigeria. We now cling onto it like she died on the cross. Abeg gerrout.
Education › Re: Rochas To Build First Free University In Nigeria by queensmith: 7:50pm On Jun 12, 2012
This will be a bliss project, the only concerns is be the obvious; if the target is academically excellent students it will no longer be available for those that truly need it (the free education). If it isn't trustees might not see the incentive of running it. What a paradox.

Hold on is he a politician? Where's he gonna get the money from? Is he planning to steal state funds for his foundation? Oluwa ooo! What will I not see!

Politics › Re: Was Funmilayo Ransome Kuti The First Woman To Drive A Car? by queensmith: 5:44pm On May 31, 2012
naijababe: Daring to be different and doing as you wished especially if you were a woman in 1920s Nigeria is a helluva mean feat.
Erm, how does she represent every woman in Nigeria considering they were bastardly rich??

She drove a car for Christ sake she didn't launch a rocket into space, how about the first female palmwine tapper?? That will have been different!! Gimme those fun facts!

Please we are just glorifying nonsense and the nonsense individuals.

First woman to drive a car you know the more I hear it the more ridiculous it sounds.

shymmex: The woman raised Nigerian icons..

She smashed sexism in the face..

She started unionism in Nigeria...

This is the type of woman Nigerian girls need to emulate - not weaves, lace fronts, and bleaching cream loving pseudo-celebrities. cool
I seriously cannot be the only one?? There is a lot I have to say about this.....I'm hoping someone else does. I cannot be the only one that notices this coonery.
Politics › Re: Was Funmilayo Ransome Kuti The First Woman To Drive A Car? by queensmith: 5:12pm On May 31, 2012
shymmex: Why is it odd?

How many women drove a car in the world back then?

1925 was a period when sexism was a universal thing, and being the first woman to break that shackles in Nigeria speaks a lot about the type of woman she was..

She was also on the Yoruba council of chiefs..

The woman was an enigma..

R.I.P Mama. cool
Yes odd, a woman drove a car? So? You are speaking as if sexism has come to an end in Nigeria? While debating over the first woman to drive a car? Well done.
Politics › Re: Was Funmilayo Ransome Kuti The First Woman To Drive A Car? by queensmith: 4:47pm On May 31, 2012

Romance › Re: 5 Qualities Of A Wife by queensmith: 10:04pm On May 30, 2012
O wow this guy is still trying to sell his bullshyte? This blithering bumbling m0ron. So because the article stated 25% of 21 year old UNDERGRADUATES are unemployed, that automatically concludes most graduates are 22? When the study reveals very clearly the average age is 24? Thank you south bank, you have blessed the world with bl00dy idi0ts. I hope all these yeye universities shut down so these dogs will not feel the need to continue barking. mshew.

back to topic jare. #imdone
Romance › Re: 5 Qualities Of A Wife by queensmith: 5:52pm On May 30, 2012
Omg, I mean I know you're a complete mor0n but not to this extent. So the little nonsense you posted proves what?? This boy is a bloody idi0t egba mi ke.

So because 25% of the 21 year olds that leave undergraduate degrees are unemployed ,the average age of an msc graduate is 22??
I'm not going to continue this with you, I just wanted to show people you are chatting shyte. I'm not going to bother myself with you or risk being infected by your nonsense! Mshew you are obviously brainless. South bank have done very very well. Well done to them smh
Romance › Re: 5 Qualities Of A Wife by queensmith: 5:11pm On May 30, 2012
coogar: you were born a cretin, and you would die a ninny!

the tool is bringing out stats that also included ph.d(doctorate degree).
postgraduate = masters degree and every other thing that comes after it.
i am talking about masters and the troll is talking something else.
stop engaging me in a verbal intercourse whenever there's an intellectual discourse.

you're not as smart as my toe-nail. the average m.sc graduate in the uk is 21/22.
heaven knows what you did in your early 20s that prevented you from graduating when other
smart kids were graduating. whoring is not a career. if you weren't told, i am telling you
right now. olodo!
Seriously, is anybody else seeing this bloody idiot? I cannot be the only one!

Put your nonsense in a rap song, the average age of postgraduate students talkless of the graduates is not 22! You cannot bullsyte on the www like this!

If you went through the bloody article you will see THE AVERAGE AGE OF TAUGHT MASTERS STUDENTS IN THE FIRST YEAR IS 24!!!!! Now if you had any bloody sense of reasoning (and spent less energy beating your chest like a gorrila) you will know these students will GRADUATE between the (average) ages of 25- 27!!!!

Where on earth did you get the average uk domiciled graduate age of 22 from? How you pull nonsense out of your arse and splat it over the WWW is just amazing! Only on nairaland sha, only on nairaland!!
