Romance › Re: Ladies : What Items Do You Like To Always See In Your Man's Fridge? by queensmith: 7:16pm On Jun 13, 2012
honeric01: I don't joke with fruits and water because by the time all other stuffs you end up using your money to buy starts sending you to the hospital, you are going to be needing fruits and water to cure them. the best medicine for the body remains fruits and water and the former contains whatever sweetness your tongue long for and the latter contains whatever liquid your tongue also long for.

19 years plus since i fell seriously ill nor been to the hospital, when i am not feeling "okay", all i do is take fruits, vegetables and water, in few minutes/hours time, i get whole again.
tis true- an apple a day keeps the doctor away. God help us with our sweet tooths!

Romance › Re: Why Young Women Often Date Older Men by queensmith: 7:05pm On Jun 13, 2012
I will never date an old man, i wouldnt even date a guy thats over 26 talkless of an old one. I'm still extremely disgusted at my friend who married one of our teachers. Why will a vibrant young woman marry an old man is a very good question.
Romance › Re: When 'love' Makes You Cry by queensmith: 6:52pm On Jun 13, 2012
shymmex: About ghetto love, you know. grin

Like you were not born in a council flat yourself, GTFOH... Tell those porky pies to Nigerians living in Nigeria, not me cheesy

*I see through your bs from afar*

What ends are you from? Bwahahahahahahahaha lipsrsealed undecided
See what I mean, when I say there is something wrong with you I'm not insulting you I'm just stating facts. The way you reason and the things you type makes it very obvious there is something wrong with your brain.
A man is talking about yardie friends, running scams, taking (dealing?) drugs and growing up on the roughs of brixton (since we all know most of brixton is actually quite posh and bloody expensive) you are here talking about being born in a council flat? What does the nonsense you are saying have to do with what i'm saying?

I for one second cannot relate to this boy for the simple fact that i'm not ghetto, people say my area is ghetto i've never witnessed a crime. I speak properly I have an education, i've never ran bashers or atm scams or what have you, i'm not married so i don't have a child and i wouldn't go near a yardie if you paid me.

It doesn't even matter what ends you are from, or if you live in a council flat- a council flat is a right to property, living in one doesnt make you ghetto? I went to uni with people that grew up in brixton, I know many medics, lawyers, nurses what have you that come from brixton and peckham and what have it. They don't speak slang or do drugs.

If you live in london you should know that there is a good blend of rich and poor in every area.
Family › Re: Being Married To A Nigerian Is Hard Sometimes by queensmith: 6:27pm On Jun 13, 2012
Well, i have seen other people from other tribes too do the same. they are even married to Nigerians themselves and all they think about is building house in village and back in Nigeria. i have seen how they dont take care of their kids also and how they work almost 24 hrs and 7 days a week. Trust me, these people are not Yoruba. They hardly see their kids and they kids hangs around the block or stay at home on their own because their parents are out hustling. No flat screen TV, no internet just one old desktop computer.Kids look scruffy to school.feed on what left in the fridge. Just because she decided to say her story about one man does not mean you should generalize it.
You have seen it, I haven't seen it.

are you sure those people are not yoruba? Because you have just described too many yoruba people i have seen. At least they have the dignity to call themselves deeper life. Some woman even used her child to beg money from friends in 6th form. I'm sure when they go naija they are doing bigger woman, i remember listening to one woman on the bus, the woman looked a train wreck yet she was bragging about how senators are chasing her this is chasing her that is chasing her, i wasnt even the only person seemed the whole bus was yoruba and listening to the woman talk trash. She was probably on her way to clean somewhere or something now mouthing off like a monkey on the phone.

Soo sad, i read the the pilot avoided an open field because there was an event and had too many people. His last efforts were to save lives, thoughtful and brave man. God bless his soul.

Health › Re: Odds Of Contracting HIV At A Single Exposure by queensmith: 1:05pm On Jun 13, 2012
it depends on gender and the type of sex.

I used to think it was 12% chance but the odds here are quite different. 1:1000- that virtually means 0 lol.

The odds are much higher with analsex and with transmission from male to female.

Romance › Re: Very stupid by queensmith: 12:52pm On Jun 13, 2012
listen to yourself, crying 'i'm willing to do this' 'i'm ready to do that' to a bunch of people that don't even want you. How much could you possible love yourself desperately chasing someone is isn't even willing to overlook anything just to be with you? Talkless of bend his own principles to suit you?
Why don't you reserve your energy for someone that will reciprocate? Someone that will stand up for you? Trust me you don't even want to go near this man or his family, they have showed you early signs that you should take note of and even search in other men that you date (if dating yoruba men is a thing for you then you're on a very long road). Bottom line stop wasting your time with these people.

cuteonyii: Any one married to a foreigner? can you please share your experiences including the challenges, how to cope and your advices to other people who may want to.
marrying any foreigner will be easier than marryin certain people from certain tribes *cough* . But everyone here is right, its more about the person and less about the origin.

@ mrs chima remove ignorance and embrace spiritual connection? How are we not soo sure the claims of a spiritual connection are born out of ignorance?
Health › Re: **aborting A 1month Preg. With Pills$ by queensmith: 12:31pm On Jun 13, 2012
Please doctor in the house how safe is this?
pls help.
It's illegal in Nigeria, I remember stories of young women taking certains pills to induce abortions. Not sure if the pills were banned because they weren't safe or if it was the usual knee jerk reaction to from nonsense individuals in power.

I think certain hormonal pills can be used for up to 2 months of the pregnancy, after which the only other (safe option) will be the invasive procedure.

Go to google scholar or use google you should be able to gain enough facts there.
Christianity Etc › Re: Will You Marry An Atheist? by queensmith: 12:22pm On Jun 13, 2012
I will actually prefer an atheist to a bible thumper- one thing i learnt about africans is that you are told what to do and what to be like, but you are never told why. Nothing follows a logical thought process, just a habit of following tradition and religion in a blind manner.

i get it, the language that cannot be taken literally. lol

I just like the proverbs, esp when i'm watching yoruba movies (except for the misogynistic ones)

Theres one I heard, something along the lines of suffering and eating stew that has no oil and no salt (to explain that there's a limit to endurance) do you know that one?

Health › Re: Do Nigerian Women Use Tampon? by queensmith: 11:35am On Jun 13, 2012
my cousin came to visit and bought a big batch when she was going back. im guessing its expensive in Nigeria, i also bought her the feminine soaps spray and talcum powder. Im sure theyll all be available just a little hard to find. The market for these things have only just grown anyway, it's not like theyve been a big thing for that long. Other countries will eventually catch on.

tampons are amazing! ever since i started i havent been able to stop!
