The screenshot provided, says cheetah equates to leopard, panther, lion.

You are trying to minimise, deny and ignore the fact, that tiger is not native to Africa. There's being no tigers in Yorubaland and/or anywhere else in Nigeria.

Just because the screenshot called cheetah an alternate name "etan" doesn't take away the fact it "amotekun" original name. It is just as the lion is called "kiniun" just as well as being called "ogidan"

In Yoruba, "ekun" is leopard, which we have in the land, and "amotekun" is cheetah, which we equally have in the land. We don't have tigers in the land, and so no indigenous name for it.

I disagree with u

Two can play the Google translate game. Notice Google translate has cheetah as meaning of "amọtẹkun"

Fyi quickberry2, there's no Yoruba word for tiger, and this is because, we dont have tigers in Africa talkless Yorubaland or Nigeria at large, lol, but we have "ologini," used for cats though. Tigers are not native to Africa, as is often believed, they actually originally exist only in the Asian continent and so, in countries like China, India,Thailand etcetera

In yoruba parlance, "Ẹkun," is leopard and "Amọtẹkun" is cheetah. Of course, you can see why cheetah is called "amọtẹkun". It is because, from a distance, the cheetah, physically looks just as much like a leopard, lol, its the cheetah's smaller size that gives it away, and makes it, not to be mistaken for a leopard, lol. It is the similarities the cheetah has with the leopard, that makes the cheetah in yoruba to be called, the ones that knows as much as the leopard (i.e.''amọtẹkun'')

In the image u uploaded, etan was translated to cheetah, while amotekun is written at the top of leopard, check very well. In yoruba ekun is tiger, kiniun is lion, amotekun is leopard

"Amọtẹkun" alternatively means, the "[cheetah], the one that forms like a leopard" or as updatechange, would love to put it, "amọtẹkun" would colloquially mean "[cheetah] sabi reach leopard, " as "Amọ" means "to know" and "tẹkun" means "as much as the leopard"

Ekun is tiger, not leopard

I have a laptop I was planning on selling. Just sold my small Gionee phone a few days ago for a measly sum. Perhaps I should have brought it here too.

Anyways, the laptop is in good condition. Bought it for a huge sum, for business purposes. But I've not been able to get a staff to use it.

Would have loved if I could get someone to use it and get paid monthly for working.

However, I won't also mind giving it out to someone who really needs it and will use it to better his or her life.

And for legal things only.... If you plan on using it for Yahoo or scam and I detect before I give it out, I will withhold. If you've already gotten it and use it for illegalities, the laptop will blow on your laps.

That said, interested guys should mention me with what they want to use it for, and how it could better their lives financially and otherwise.

I don't have the picture here else I'd have posted. Goodluck guys.

I want to use it for graphics design, I'm an unemployed graduate. Thanks

Shaqiri was bought as a backup for Salah and Mane..Everybody including Shaqiri was clear about that before he signed.. How many games did u expect him to play? He still played 30 games out of about 50 last season. If not for loss of form and injuries, he would have played more!!

Regarding Origi, Klopp's doesn't like playing with an out and out striker! he prefers a false9. Origi is often deployed as a winger self. it has nothing to do with his performance!!

With the exception of Marko Grujic, there's no player Klopp as signed that hasn't been given a fair amount of game time!!/

I don't care how many games Minamino will play cus I'm already sure he will be a key player for us.

He played Lewandoski at Dortmund

Go and learn how to use punctuation. Anywhere belle face. I know that so many states in Nigeria enjoy same.

Sometimes there are some argument that expose people complete lack of knowledge.

Koulibaly is on the way to becoming the most expensive defender in football history currently. He is arguably the best CB in the world.

And someone is saying l dont know anything about African football.

Essentially Senegal have far more players playing in the top 5 leagues of Europe than we do. They also have a never ending conveyor belt of talent from the French league one.

Our only striker making waves is Victor Osimhen in the top leagues.

Habib Diallo has scored same number of goals as Victor Osimhen. Somehow the person who is saying l dont know anything about African didn't even know his name.

We could talk about Mbiaye Diana or Ismaila Sarr.

Instead we are getting orgasmic and euphoric about our striker who has scored two goals KC this season, is it good enough probably yes because we lack quality strikers. But then again we simply don't have many if any quality striker apart from Victor.

The reality Anybody with KC stats will not even smell the Senegalese team.

They simply have far more options and strengthen in depth.

Consider Moussa Wagué has not played enough games but wait for it he plays for Barcelona.

Finally, an indictment on this divisory attitude of calling players FB and implied they are less Nigerian or loyal to the SE cause.

Look at how many of the Senegalese team were born in France and not you but many lacking knowledge will be suprised.

There is nothing to argue about....he is not better than the following centre backs: Van Dijk, Chiellini, Ramos, e.t.c

Exclusive – Leicester City Offer Ndidi Pay Rise To Ward Off Interest From Barcelona
December 6, 20190215

Leicester City have responded to an inquiry from Barcelona for their Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi by offering the 22 year old the offer of a pay rise, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Ndidi signed a new deal in the summer of 2018 keeping him at the club till 2024 meaning the club is in no way under pressure to lose the Nigeria international ‎but there are fears that he could get his head turned by the interest from the Laliga giants.

In a bid to keep the midfielder settled the club plan to give him a pay rise on his current salary which stands around £55,000 a week. They could offer him as high as £70,000 a week to keep him settled.

Barcelona have reportedly inquired about the midfielder who is well known to coach Ernesto Valverde who isn’t entirely satisfied with the lack of steel in his midfield despite the big money signing of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax last summer.

Representatives of Ndidi will in the coming days meet with the club to thrash out the terms of the pay rise which will likely not affected the duration of his contract but will no doubt solidify the grip the Foxes have on the midfielder.

Super Eagles Players Want Rohr To Give Them License To Attack More – We Are Too Conservative
December 4, 201901676

Six current players of the senior national team of Nigeria have voiced out their preferred style of play as opposed to what coach of the team Gernot Rohr set them up to play.

Rohr is known to favour a defensive approach which has so far proved to be effective for Nigeria but some of the players are unhappy as they believe it has limited their contributions particularly with the way they are all used to playing at their clubs.

” I love to join the attack despite the fact that I’m a defender but in the national team the coach don’t usually like us to overlap. So most times we play just above the centre circle. It has limited me severally “, one of the players told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Another who is a midfielder in the team believe the issue of lack of creativity is due to the fact that they usually have few options when in possession of the ball in the opponent’s half due to how they are set up to play.

” Most times we are forced to play the ball sideways and backwards due to lack of options in attack. It’s something that has to do with our approach to games and it will be nice if we play to our strength due to the amount of forwards we have who are doing well at their clubs “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Their sentiment was shared by four other players and according to the players they have discussed the tactics at their meeting but most times they have to play to the instruction of the coach who is known for favouring a defensive style of play.

Olofinjana, Finidi In Line For Nigeria Youth Team Coaching Job, Salisu Retains Role In National Team Setup
December 5, 20190228

The recent decision of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) not to renew the contracts of coaches of the youth teams of Nigeria have given the football body the chance to freshen things up with some former Nigeria international players who are now coaching abroad.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that while the NFF advertised the jobs for U17 and U20 teams, the football house have decided to retain Salisu Yusuf as the coach of the U23 team following his return from suspension for his involvement in a bribery ‎scandal regarding players selection.

Salisu will keep his dual role as the head coach of the B team of the Super Eagles and also the Nigeria U23 aside his job as first assistant to coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr. The process of bringing him back into the system has already started with his secondment to Enugu Rangers by the NFF.

The coach took over from sacked coach Bennedict Ugwu after Rangers requested for a coach from the NFF. The move by the NFF is to make the coach have a smooth return to the touchline before taking over his roles with the national teams.

On the jobs available, the football house is favouring former Mallorca and Real Betis B youth team coach Finidi George for the job of coach of U-17 team while Seyi Olofinjana who is presently a coach with English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers is the leading candidate to be named the U20 coach.

Olofinjana presently works as the manager of players sent on loan by Wolves and he will push to retain his job with the club even if he is appointed by the NFF when the list of the successful coaches is announced next year.

I Don’t Know Why He Is Not In The Nigeria National Team – Heerenveen Coach Aims Dig At Rohr Over Ejuke
November 29, 201901058

Johnny Jansen the coach of Dutch side Heerenveen says he is at lost as to why Chidera Ejuke the talisman in his team is not in the senior national team of Nigeria owing to his performances this season.

Ejuke joined the Dutch side from Valerenga in the summer and he has turned out to be an instant hit with the team by finding the back of the net six times in 14 league games this season aside several man of the match award.

Jensen while speaking ahead of their game against Vitesse said he is surprised that the 21 year old wasn’t invited by the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria during the recently concluded international break.

He however confirmed that he was called up to the Nigeria U23 team for the Africa U23 Cup of Nations but the timing of the tournament made it impossible for them to release the wing forward who has completed more dribbles than any other player in the Dutch Eredivisie this season.

” I was surprised that he didn’t get a call up to the main team of Nigeria. You have to ask the coach why because he did enough to get a look in. However we rejected the chance for him to join the Nigeria U23 team because the timing of the tournament wasn’t best for both parties. He will no doubt become a senior international in the nearest future “, he concluded.
