Few things to Note in 2023
In a few hours, it will be another year. 2023 … loading. I believe the outgoing year 2022 had its ups and downs, there were some mistakes and likewise some areas where things were done right in terms of investment decisions. Many met their saving and investment objectives while some could not, some miss opportunities while others make use of opportunities, in all we have learned one lesson or the other.
As we look forward to a new year, here are some good investment practices that could help:
1. In all your investment moves make sure the safety of your capital takes priority.
2. Note that you can’t be everywhere in terms of investment rather go for what you understand, and you have the ability to cope with the inherent risk.
3. One of the best moves in investment is to start with what you have. Don’t wait till you have all the millions. Do something with what you have currently and build on it. For instance, if you have plans to invest in bonds or real estate and currently you only have tens or hundreds of thousands why not start with mutual funds that can help you build your funds gradually and in no time you can invest in your desired investment window rather than waiting and your money losing value.
4. There will always be Ponzi schemes so watch out and tread carefully. When returns look too good to be true it’s most likely not true no matter who is involved.
5. Don’t tie your investment decisions only to rumors. Do your due diligence always. Note sometimes you may see yourself going alone on your decision to invest, don’t bother as much as you are sure and know you are on the right track.
6. Always endeavor to have a balanced portfolio that can help in your risk management. Risks are managed better when spread across different investment windows.
7. Don’t forget according to Warren Buffett Rule No.1: Never lose money. Rule No.2: Never forget rule No.1
I wish you all a happy, bullish, high-yielding, and investment favorable 2023!

alphabbey1: You are just clowning. You have no idea of Japa if you think anyone is leaving not for money but for safety...... why not go to Ghana if safety is your problem... atleast, many Nigerian celebrities are living there coz its safe.... And who told you there's no quality education In this country, how much are u paying that u're looking for quality education, you see students in covenant university complaining ?
If safety is your problem, just don't think of moving to America, you will be utterly disappointed... |

Travel › What Do You Advise I Do? by QuinModah(op): 11:43pm On Dec 18, 2022 |
Goodevening my people I have been following and reading alot on this travel section.
Please I have a question and would appreciate some replies.i am planning to relocate with my family to Uk next year by God's grace, I am already gathering all my documents for post graduate application, all is ready am only waiting for my transcript then I would start applications.
Now because of money involved me and my husband are planing to go first and then apply for the kids later after we must have settled there, but someone adviced us to do the whole application together get the kids visa and leave them behind so wen we are ready to take them we only look for flight money for them, but we are skaptical because we feel adding them to the process will cost us much more than we budgeted.
Please I will like to know the cost difference like what and what we will need to pay extra if we decide to add the kids along while processing our own visa.
Secondly, my husband is based in one of this African countries,he doesn't have papers meaning ones he leaves that country to come home he cant get back in there again, and he is working there and taking care of us and Savin up for our jakpa plans, he is worried that what if he leaves thatplace and come back during our visa process and we ended up not getting Visa approval ..God forbid I know we will get, we are only thinking both ways. So he said he will be stuck in Nigeria since he can't go back cos of no papers. In this case my people please what do u advise us.
Thank you in advance |

Cromagnon: you do realize you can buy security with 2 million a month right? You can buy Healthcare and education or what do you think they do abroad or you think it falls from heaven? Small-minded people will stain your white. Start interacting with people who think "Big". Who think and talk big goals. Who think and talk big numbers. Who think and talk big solutions. Who think and talk big ideas. Who think and talk big moves. Who think and talk big opportunities.. Who think and talk big strategies. When you keep yourself in the circle of those who think and act big, it reshapes the way you reason. At first, their level of thinking and talking will make you uncomfortable and that is fine. It is working! You need that discomfort to usher the next phase. Because the next phase is that it would begin to put you in a position for your mind to start reshaping. When your mind is progressively reshaped, one thing you will notice is your vocabulary will change. You start thinking and talking differently. Trust me, these things work! |
