The minorities have had their say and the majority have had their way. Buhari,i hope you live up to expectation and please don't ask us to give you time because we won't. You must hit the ground running. No ifs, buts or maybes. We're a very impatient bunch.
On a different note i hope we don't end up with another Yar adua scenario. Just saying
But you were patient with gej for four years and wanted us to give him another four years to now start performing. What hypocrisy!
......And our lives is in God's hand, gmb's or gej's or whoever. cool

PoliticsRe: My Attacks On Buhari, APC, Not Personal – Fani-kayode by rabimlomo: 1:04pm On Apr 03, 2015
Nothing personal, yet he accused and insulted gmb, lai, tinubu and amechi with all sorts of personal abuses. If that is doing one's job then I will rather not do that job. "Ti aba rani ni she eru, Afi tomo je" Hian.

And that is another area where gej failed. He simply did like he was not in this universe while his goons engaged extreme vulgarity and divisiveness.

PoliticsRe: My Dream Last Night. by rabimlomo: 7:45am On Apr 03, 2015
omenka:
Just woke up from this dream I had a few moments ago about the outcome of the general elections and decided to share it before it escapes my mind. Most times I find it difficult remembering things that happened in my dreams if I don't share them with someone or write them down instantly.

So here's how my dream went.

The elections had come and gone and there was some sort of swearing in ceremony being held at some place with some select few people in attendance. Amongst them were many APC and PDP stalwarts. I remember Buhari was there, El Rufai, Amaechi, Oyegun and some other party chiefs. From PDP were Ananih, Clerk, Abati, Okupe, FFK, Fayose, et al.

Now, the venue for the ceremony was designed in such a manner most of the witnesses, the party bigwigs, were seated in some sort of lobby while the president was being "crowned" in some room behind the lobby. After wearing the crown, he was to present himself before the guys in the lobby and then step out to wave at a sea of supporters outside the building just as is being done with the Pope.

I was in the inner room where the Jonathan was being crowned as the "uthenasian" president of Nigeria (whatever that meant) and was fuming with anger, but surprisingly, the APC chiefs were either smiling or simply wearing expressionless faces, and Jonathan was brimming with smiles as usual.

I didn't ponder for so long before I understood why the APC bigwigs were smiling. The president, after presenting himself to the people in the waiting lobby and his supporters went back into the inner chamber where Buhari, El rufai, Oyegun and Amaechi were waiting, took off his robe and the crown, handed the crown to Buhari and then left the chamber through a back door to a waiting air plane behind the building!! He was leaving the country with his wife!! While all this was taking place, a camera was rolling, and before he hopped unto the plane, he gave a little speech advising his supporters to be calm and law abiding, that he never won the election, and the PDP stalwarts in the other room to submit themselves to the authorities for prosecution!

I couldn't believe what was happening before my eyes.... At that point I was overwhelmed by emotions, just broke down and started crying, but not because I hurt; it was tears of joy. A lady from the other room (I think it was Abike Dabiri) came in to join me. We embraced, laughing and crying, and then I said "it is finished"...

At this point I was awakened by my barking German Shepard. smiley

A lot of this might sound disjointed but I narrated it just the way it happened.

This could be subjected to all manner of interpretations based on one's political bias, but to me, it was just a dream... smiley
WOW! And your dream did come to past, almost exactly. Buhari won and gej accepted defeat. wow cheesy cheesy cheesy

He focused on the north thinking they will like him. I learn a lesson from it. Well let buhari lead. For me as a person, I do not see change in government. It is still the same old folk wearing new clothes.
And what did he do for them in the north apart from the so called almajiri schools. The fact is gej was busy trying to secure HIS OWN political future with no regard to the common man, including his kinsmen.
My point is we should seek good government irrespective of religion or ethnicity. The fact is, these politicians only bring religion and ethnicity up when they need our vote, but when they share our common wealth among themselves, they forget all about ethnic or religious sentiment.

Do we also say the SE and SS state governors are seeking favors from the north or whereever that prevents them from helping their people? No, they all seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the masses they are all corrupt and we need to do our best to reduce this level of corruption.
Buhari at the moment seems to be our best option. Let us give him the chance, work with himpray for his government and let's see what he can do within these four years.

PoliticsRe: Barcanista And The Promise Of Ministerial Aide by rabimlomo: 8:11pm On Apr 02, 2015
mobuch:
Billy, u spoke my mind; its sad but true; Jonathan was kicked out not based on performance but because he is from the minority. Shagari failed the economy in his 1st term7 but got a second tyerm cos he is a northerner; obasanjo's 1st term was scandalised with so many killings, sectarian crisis and economic hardship and not forgeting infrastructure break down, but yet his people sang the song dat he deserved a second term to write his wrongs, so why won't jonathan deserve a 2nd term, when he has done better than our past leadershuh

The yorubas are traitors who have sold us out to the north, ðεƔ r the judas in our midst. Playing tribal politics and pretending ðεƔ wanted change.

Jonathan's problem started when he insisted on running a 2nd term under PDP. I assure u that despite PDP's ppoor performances, if ðεƔ had fielded a northern candidate, ðεƔ would have won this election.

Finally, this is going to be the new dawn of an era of backward retrogression. The northerners have never being good managers of nigerian economy, and its sad that the parochial greed of the yorubas have blocked their memories from remembering this.

Furthermore, all I know, is that if the interests of the south south and south east are not given a priority in this administration, we will return to the creeks and join hands with our brothers in the niger delta to make this country ungovernable for buhari, ðεƔ made the country ungovernable for jonathan and ðεƔ succeeded, we will return the treatment back to them; we have the weapons, we have the manpower and terrain to support our objectives, and this time the hausa nigerian army will not be spared.

Finally, I will sit on d side lines and watch as event unfolds.
Did Jonathan do anything for the ss and se?
