For those who are saying these boys are not 17yrs just by looking at them, why dont you go to any public secondary schools in Ajegunle, Mushin, Osodi, Agege, Surulere and take pictures of boys in SS2 and SS3 class and compare with what these boys.

Or better still go to these football clubs that we/secondary school boys used to play in and see how they look like.
When you play football on dusty pitches under the hot sun on empty stomach, you will be shocked at how old you will look like after 2 years.

Even after it was said that they had done MRI tests and they are mostly in Academies, nay-sayers still keep nay-saying.

kingoflag: Lmaooooooo Hahahahaha You must think very highly of Nigeria for your brain to even conjure this up. Listen my friend: THE ONLY REASON TRUMP COULD EVEN ACCUSE OBAMA OF SUCH IS BECAUSE OBAMA'S FATHER IS AFRICAN!!! You know why? Because you guys are so unorganized you can't do something as easy as keeping written, registered, certifiable records of births, deaths and marriages! If Both of Obama's Parents were American that kinda accusation would've been the last thing on his mind. You know why? Because it would've been an impossible claim.

Now, you can go back to enjoying no electricity and bad roads and defending archaic practices.
What kind of utter rubbish is this. Was Obama born in Kenya, or since when has hawaii become part of Africa. Donald trump was challenging the authenticity of a document that was made in America, how does that concern his father and Africa, or was it his father that forged it in Hawaii because he knows he will become the president one day.
Your comment is absolutely repulsive.

Thanks Booshman, you are far too kind.
The 'kese kese' is an imitation of the sound his sword makes when he slashes the demons. its a reminder of his unwavering and unrelenting blows. While the song was supposed to warn him to desist in his mission to death, it rather was spurring him on.
The turks took over the old eastern roman empire, but they did not abandon the cultural practices even though they became muslim.

The romans did not practice polygamy, same as the ancient greeks.

Also why the requirements for an imam included he must be educated, versed in latin, sciences and humanities, etc.
During the middle ages before the renaissance, Western Europe was quite backward in technological innovations and scientific advancement. it was the muslim world that was carrying the touch in several fields of human endeavour e.g astronomy, medicine, engineering etc. The muslim scholars were in the forefront of these innovations and Many of the things they improved on were learnt from books written in latin, while europe was in turmoil from ceaseless wars, the Islamic caliphate has been consolidated.
So they could learn from mostly greek great thinkers and innovators of the past.

Booshman: Joromi? I've never heard of him, before. Could you give me some information about him? Is he an Edo folk hero, like Evian?
Wow, there is a popular song about him by the Edo high-life musician Victor Uwaifo. You should check out the song and listen to it. One of the most popular high-life tracks in Nigeria.

The legend states that as far as Joromi could remember, he had been warned never to climb a particular palm tree at the back of their house. Joromi was a strong and very stubborn boy. He became a wrestler and defeated all opponents that he met. One day he decided to conquer the palm tree he was warned about and climb it. His younger sister on seeing him climbing the tree turned into a fly and followed him.

When Joromi got to the top of the tree he suddenly found himself in the spirit world with multi-headed demons around him. As an intruder he was challenged and he got into a wrestling match with them. he first fought with a tw0-headed monster and he immediately defeated him and cut off one of the heads telling the demon no one goes around with two heads. Then a three-headed demon took over and the battle continued and became more difficult. Each time a new demon appears to fight, Joromi's sister who turned into a fly will keep singing and warning Joromi not to the demon, that he has conquered all human opponents and these are spirits and this is where death resides.

Joromi instead is spurred on and encouraged by the song and with each 'kese' kese' chorus in the song he cuts off demon heads. Eventually a seven-headed demon came and the Joromi fought bravely and became very tired, he slipped and fell and the demon with only one head remaining came closer to cut off his devastating arms but Joromi kept his arms behind his back and the demon could not pry it off, suddenly he sprang up with another 'kese' kese' and tore the demon's stomach with a blow.

While the demon was writhing in pains, he took the opportunity to try and scramble down the palm tree and get back to the earth, as he was about to escape the spirit realm, the demon lunged after him with giant strides and grabbed him, but he could not get a firm grasp but could only scratch his Joromi's back with his claws.

That is why all humans till today have a groove (i.e the spinal cord groove) in their backs.

ezeagu: The major discoveries were by accident, not by piecing together. The point was that nothing was being done at present in Awka.

Most of those museums are shut most times of the year, it's a well known fact, and most parks and natural spaces have been overrun by weed or used for trading.
If there was less corruption in the country most of those places would not be over-run by weeds, but in any country or culture given a choice between preserving the artefacts of the past and providing basic amenities for the people now, I would leave those things in the soil where they have been for centuries and do the needful now so that other future generations would also know that we were once here.

ezeagu: Every archaeological discovery in Nigeria has been accidental, every single one, and if not for people of European descent the artefacts would be discarded or broken down for reuse. It's a cultural thing, it's the same reason Nigerians don't go to museums, preserve old structures/natural spaces and objects, the reason they don't take pictures of scenery or anything that isn't a relative/friends face, or read to their children at night.

Short attention spans, which is why there's absolutely no sign Nigeria was in a heavy war 40 years ago or that it was ever a British colony.
Digging up old tooths and combs has little to contribute to the survival of any human society. I believe archaeology is a modern and elitist profession or an expensive hobby. Its not a cultural thing, its a human thing, nobody spends time and money to dig up up artefacts that are 500 years until recent times when universities came up and people needed to earn degrees in different fields of knowledge. The major reasons people dig up stuffs is to look for valuable things to exploit or use personally, nobody dusts them and put them on counters or glass cases and write volumes of books on them until recently.
There is no need to bash Nigerians over this, most people today would still prefer to sell or melt down the gold mask of Tutankhamen for other uses than store it a glass case and spend millions to guard it.

The coach needs to work on the defence, look at the way the swedish defense never falls apart, they always watch each other and maintain a line. Their defense is always in two layes and spread across the whole box, so if the ball misses the first layer the back four are there to clear it out, very disciplined defense and that is the way you play against a good and enterprising team like Nigeria.

Our defense needs to cool down a bit and not hurry forward too much.

Then that goal-keeper is very suspect.

The fact is that i am happy for people living around the area, the road is an eyesore whenever it rains.
Not all buildings will be demolished at 22m, only areas that will have flyovers like ogba iyo and agbado station
Snapshot of the road at ope Ilu
Meeeeen, Ope-ilu, i suffered in that place some weeks back when i was going for my cousin's intro. My car entered a big ditch and we could not push it out, with all the flood and stuff all my clothes became ruined. I needed to push it out and get to my destination which was just about 500 metres away before Environmental starts.
The most annoying thing was that all the Okada men were just abusing us for blocking their path, raining heavy curses on myself and my brother while we were toiling in the flood. It was one kind woman that told us we could rent a heavy chain from a shop just opposite the spot where we ran aground. We rented the chain for 800 naira and begged a pure-water truck which helped in pulling out the car.

It was quite a memorable experience.

victorv12: I'm laughing my 9ja laugh over this cyber-bullying news, It's funny. But African kids are worst off. We're being bullied at home and in school, which eventually on the long run causes psychological problems . The effect of our own bullying is even more dangerous than the ones in the west. They have psychiatric institutions to attend to their own case but in our own, that doesn't happen. Our own effect of bullying reflects when we are get older. We may not commit suicide, but we know how to oppress ourselves with bitterness.

That's why we have a leader that can buy Two amoured BMW cars at once to protect herself. Our own bullying generates into greed, bitterness, heartlessness, oppression and so many ish I can't find words for. Our bullying piles up, that's why our leaders left us conveniently to live in darkness. Most of our leaders are still psychologically traumatized till date because of the teenage or juvenile delinquency they went through in the past. What make stowaway kid wanted to flee the country?! The boy must be put under psychological check 24-7 till the age of 25... As long that boy is still in Nigeria, he will always want to flee! Our own bullying is more pathetic than the ones in the west, that's why we have bullies has leaders that torment us day and night. And the bitterness most Nigerians are carrying presently is worst than the ones in the west...it must trickle-down...It's a cycle!
'our bullying generates into greed'. Where did you get that from? How can you defend such a statement? Does it mean in a society where there is no bullying, then there is no corruption?

Greed is greed, stealing is stealing. if we should accept your premise, then it means a thief can also say he became a thief because he was bullied while growing up. That is total hogwash.

Alfa Seltzer: Here. Have a taste of this. There's more if you have patience.

Matthew 10:34-36

34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! No, rather, a sword. 35 I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s worst enemies will be right in his own home!
This verse you quoted shows that you know little about what you are talking about. There is nothing to be ashamed of, either in the old testament nor in the new. You only read, you do not understand the scriptures nor the God that gave it.

This is from the chapter you quoted from, hopefully you will understand what Jesus meant by taking away peace from the earth by reading the whole chapter or the following excerpts

(Matthew 10:21-23) . . .Further, brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and will have them put to death. 22 And YOU will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 23 When they persecute YOU in one city, flee to another;. . .

(Matthew 10:32-37) . . .“Everyone, then, that confesses union with me before men, I will also confess union with him before my Father who is in the heavens; 33 but whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens. 34 Do not think I came to put peace upon the earth; I came to put, not peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a young wife against her mother-in-law. 36 Indeed, a man’s enemies will be persons of his own household. 37 He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me; and he that has greater affection for son or daughter than for me is not worthy of me.

oluamid: For the past 1 month, I've been having visits from different groups of Jehovah Witnesses. They knock your door, tell you they are asking of your neighbour and when you tell them you don't know his whereabouts, they start.

JW1: Please my brother, can you give me 5 minutes of your time?

Me: I'm sorry, I'm a little busy at the mo.......

JW2: (cuts in) we just want to ask you this question. What do you think is the cause of all the bad things currently happening in this world?

Me: Like I told you, I'm a little busy maybe.......

JW1: (cuts in) You see my brother, this world we are currently in is not the kind of world that Jehovah intended for us. Man has deviated from Jehovah's original plan and that is why we are currently experiencing this hardship. Take for example the issue of Boko Haram.......(speaks for about 3 minutes enumerating several disasters and grim situations and ending with)......Lets just see what the Bible says about when and how all these things will come to an end. Can you quickly open your Bible to (names a Bible passage) and read for us?

Me: (almost pleading) I'm not with my Bible and.....

JW2: (pushing Bible almost to my nose) You can read from my own. Here (points to passage), please read it.
.......................................................

I end up listening to their messages, collect numerous Awake and Watchtower magazines, part with some money (voluntary contribution), and give them my name and phone number. When they finally leave they promise to check on me in order to study the Bible with me (as if I can't study the Bible on my own) the next weekend.

I have been having these visits from different Jehovah Witness groups for the past one month. Its very annoying. huh huh
If you don't know what you're talking about, pls don't talk. The organisation is an immensely wealthy real estate/publishing/hedge fund operation which depends on extraction of money for books, magazines and "worldwide work contributions" from its captive market of 7 million plus "interested persons".
They have suffered financially recently after losing billions in the American real estate market crash and several multimillion dollar payouts to settle child abuse cases in Australia and Canada. In addition their income base is shrinking because many of their old members are dying and their young are leaving in droves. Hence, the whip is being cracked from HQ to bring more people in for the sinking ship to be propped up.
They are broke and haemorrhaging money and have even been forced to sell their new York HQ. They are selling this to their members as a move to a new headquarters to "further the work" etc etc but in actual fact, maintaining that Brooklyn skyscraper is just too expensive when their members are not able to remit more money than they are and the next generation of mugu are running away in their tens of thousands. The new HQ places emphasis on "natural lighting" and "energy saving" measures ostensibly for environmental protection reasons but in actual fact, it is because they are broke and falling apart.
So before you start shooting off your mouth about their grand "projects" around the world, try to at least gain understanding of the Bible-flavoured door-to-door sales ponzi scheme they are running.
And don't quote me if you have no meaningful contribution.
You want to bamboozle your way through the lies you have compiled up here. if someone quotes you without a meaningful contribution, what are you going to do, shoot them 9 times?
Now about all those stuffs you made up there, where are the proofs, like in MAerican politics, when you keep saying something about someone no matter how ridiculous it is some, some are bound to stick and that what a lot of people do about Jehovah's witnesses. If Witnesses depend on extraction of books for their wealth, then how come they are broke when the number of books and publications they produce is on the increase. How do you make so much money from a product when give people books and publications and then you tell them they can make contributions if they like, how many of those contributions can actually pay for the cost of production of the books and bibles they produce.

How do you call people who studied the Bible for months or years before they become witnesses as 'captive' when most of them were thoroughly convinced about what they believe.
What proof do you have that they invested billions in the american real estate and they lost the billions, why have the ever snoopy American news stations not revealed such a massive loss. if they invested billions in the real estate industry why are they not taxed by the American Tax agency. For your information France took over 8 millions dollars from the witnesses as tax, but when the matter went to court they france lost and they have to pay back the sum plus interest plus legal fees back to the witnesses, so if they are a profit-oriented organization, how come its you that knows but the governments of different countries dont know or have not been able to collect tax on such business.

Nobody is shielded by the organization of JWs, if you do the crime, the government has the prerogative to try you and administer justice, JWs dont pay nobody to escape justice, in fact so many criminals who escaped justice and became witnesses have been asked to present themselves to the authority. Infact, child-molesters and several other willful and unrepentant sinners are excommunicated and are not associated with by JWs, this excommunication is something the witnesses have been criticized for by other xtians and now you are saying they pay out money, have you forgotten there are no pastors, priests or 'MOGs' amongst witnesses, all are equal amongst the witnesses, so why would they pay to bail out anybody, when everybody is a 'nobody'. It is the glorified priests and "men of Gods' that such things are done for. Witnesses dont have such people because all are just 'brothers' from the smallest child to the oldest.

The skyscapper you said they cannot maintain are actually owned by the witnesses, it was not rented nor lease, so what maintenance cost would drive them away from the building and then they will go and acquire a bigger expanse of land and constructing structures far bigger and more environmentally and aesthetically pleasing than where they were before. For your information you can go to their branch in Igieduma Edo State, there is massive expansion also going on there too.
So please easy on the lies, because they have a way of sticking regardless of how ludicrous they are.

Anybody can find reasons to fault anyone, but theere never good reasons to fault God.
Esau repeatedly made wrong decisions in his life, He sold his future prospect for a meal, broke traditions of his fathers by marrying an unbeliever further alienating his offspring from God, and he desperately wanted to kill Jacob for what has become legally Jacob's right. He is a hateful man.

Pharoah was a tyranical despot and he was deserving of death, God only delayed carrying out the sentence by manifesting his powers for all to see and this led to the salvation of thousands of people who would not have been moved to come and join God's people. Thousands of Egytians left egypt and became part of the Israelie nation and the gibeonites also left the canaanite coalition to join the israelites because God demonstrated his awesomeness and made his name and the dread of him fall upon all the surrounding nations when he dealth with Pharoah in such a way.

Worship God not because of blessings but because you love him and because he gave you life and created you. That alone makes him deserve our worship, anyother extras are at his discretion not because we deserve anything.
Jesus said after we have done all these things required of us, we are still good-for-nothing-slaves for what we ought to have done is what we have done.
All what we claim to have been giving to God has actually been used by men, The arrangement of Giving men of God things in the Bible is so that they would not be so destitute because of their giving their time to God and then abandon his work.
Even in the Bible a lot of these men decline to take these things for themselves rather they work to sustain themselves. But these fake ones never stops collecting.
The arrangement was not made So that they would turn to billionmaires. No priest nor prophet or apostle became ostentatiously rich thru tithes or offerings or any other contributions from others.
The only ones who did are these modern day morally-bankrupt thieves parading themselves as demi-gods.
