Let the brother man be abeg oh. Anybody should be free to post their opinion or research on the market as long as there is a caveat.

In 10 years, if you sold into every bull market and bought into every bear market and compounded 50% of your dividend since then, I'm sure you'd be better off on the NSE even the NSE.
Problem has always been buying when we should be selling and selling when we should be buying and compounding the problem with buying crap (loss making, no dividend coys)

Just my curiosity because of the bolded; does it mean banks and other manufacturing companies q2 results will be good, considering the fact that covid-19 locked down most peoplehuh
grin grin grin grin grin
No, from what I understand, the q2 results may or may not be bad but due to all the free money floating in other markets, some is bound to find it's way here and thats what Rabbi means when he said imported liquidity though some school of thought here argue that the liquidity may not come after all because the FPIs may be concerned about being able to exit due to FX issues in the country.

HW is buying,

When he sold we shouted insider trading, cried wolf and saw imaginary red flags! Now he is buying, I hope we all start complaining grin
Sold at 10+ and buying back at 6+. See gain. May God punish the devil and his mother in-law.

Lots of Indecision Ongoing With FBNH Stock Price

The weekly indecision and rejections ongoing with FBNH stock price makes the short term direction unclear. On the medium term trend however, the stock has turned a little bit bullish and a decline below 5 Naira is much desirous. Looking at the volume , the stock has a decent average volume than when it declined towards April 2020; this could indicate fewer decline and more upside potential if it remains the same.

Just read this post again and wonder where/how I talked down or judged this woman here.
Think I allowed her take my mind off the main points by saying I don't want her to ask questions again.
Don't think I've ever said that anyone should not ask questions here, in fact, I used to encourage it self, to avert mistakes that could have been avoided.
Anyway, enyinne, I was only advising you to have a strong mind, have an investment strategy, don't be carried away by daily happenings in the market in as much as you keyed-in into a fundamentally sound stock and pay much attention to happenings around the stocks you're holding.
I used the word "I don't think" in the literary sense of it, no talking down at all. I don't like when people accuses me unjustly.
Just thought I should clear this once again.
If this makes me a keyboard warrior, guess I'll be more careful next time.
Mcy56, You are a good woman with a good heart. It is evident in your desire to assist people. Written communication can sometimes
be misinterpreted because the receiver cant see your expression in delivery but in this faceless forum, don't let people press your button unnecessarily. If the message is misinterpreted, rephrase if you want,if not, ignore. You don't owe anybody anything. Don't condescend to the level of some uncouth folks calling people names. Think of it. I bet you have never seen Rabbi, pa Emma, wanajo, ihedi and many others trade insults with anybody. There's a reason.

I wish I can like this comment more than once!
Some guys are just too lazy relaxed to do anything!
Cant read, cant follow simple instruction, cant follow anything up, just looking for spoon-feeding all the time. sad
Dangflour gave enough notification and clear instruction. This forum echoed it.....but now they can come here to complain.
Not even expecting anyone to answer them self.
EDC registrar is one of the best registrars around. They used to respond to mails and even pick calls. Talking from my experience with them. sad
Oya ni yin aunty. e n bee.

I still think you didn't follow up with all the instructions before the pay off.I was paid the very day of payment.I reached out to them 2 months before the payment day for my e mandate via my bank.Which they paid me all my outstanding dividend within a week plus the one I bought before it was sold to tiger brand that I had forgotten. Then a week to the pay off I still contact via mail to confirm my status as per my details and units in their registrar which they responded within 24 hours and confirmed my status..I believe if you had followed up regarding the mails they sent you would have been paid since.Just my opinion
Thank you bro. I actually did all the above but what I was paid was a fraction of what I ought to get. I believe my details was mixed up with some other persons own. My issue with them is not the error they made but the slow response I am getting from them.

Pls how do I get EDC to pay our dangote flour pay off. About 4 people around me have not been paid.
Those people are an incompetent bunch. I regret not selling off at #23 when I had the chance. Your best bet is to get your broker involved and keep harassing the registrar with mails and follow up with calls.

Please help clarify. I held the shares of Newrest Asl from last year and opted for the buyout when delisting came up which I was paid. In the financial results of 2018, 20k dividend was declared. Since I wasn't paid the buyout money until after the qualification date, shouldn't I be entitled to the 20k dividend declared for 2018?

Please OOG, current price and other FA gurus. What is the implication of this line: ''other comprehensive income item that will be reclassified to income statement'' in UBAs report?

Does it mean that at FY the negative N14B will impact on the banks bottom line?
Please someone should help me explain

There are some grossly undervalued stocks always waiting for good buy.. be conscious of the market rhythms. Spot value, buy value.. take gains, cut loss..Simple..
Bro, there are sometimes you'd think u have spotted value and when the price takes a plunge after you've bought, you go back to your analysis only to realise that what you saw was not value but an apparition... This is my present case with portfolio loss of 18% but pulling the plug is out of the question. The longer the market stays down, the more opportunity it gives me to reduce the loss by averaging down gradually. I only go for fundamentally sound stocks.

Good morning wonderful people. I am trying to collect some of my outstanding dividend from the registrars. I filled and submited my e-mandate at my bank which as been processed but united securities to be specific responded that they can't process my outstanding until I complete a purchase transfer form as I bought through the secondary market and they don't have a specimen of my signature.
Please how does this work? Note that I have been paid my outstanding by first registrars and Africa Prudential without asking for this.

Please some that really understand should enlighten me.... I bought fcmb on the 9th, qualification date is 12th, closure of register is 13-19th. Do I qualify for dividend? seeing that it takes T+3 for the shares to be transferred to me.
