That was how one recruiter was trying to "bobo" me yesterday that once i work for 3 years then i can apply for ILR. I just told him OK. cheesy
That can be true.
If you are on the Global Talent Visa, it’s 3 years.

Good day, I have been following this tread and its eye opening, but I have a few area I wish to be enlightened on;
1) Am a pharmacist resuming my masters in formulation science by Jan at Greenwich, and I plan I leaving with my wife and son as dependents, but plan not to return to Nigeria at least not willingly, what's my best chance of not ok getting deported or expired visa.

Sit for the relevant exams, and get the certification that enables you to practice as a pharmacist in the UK.

2) since my wife will be on dependent, does her years in obtaining ILR start counting once we get there or only ~IF~ (big if) we can get a Tier 2 sponsor

Dependant-visa work counts towards the 10-year route. If your plan is the 5-year route, Hers (and yours) will only count while on a Tier-2 or another, not on a tier-4

3) Can I apply for the shortage list since pharmacist are listed on it from the UK??(STEM) and what are my chances of getting the visa.

You are a Nigeria-Qualified Pharmacist. You need to be a UK-qualified pharmacist

4) can one apply for Canada Express Entry from the UK if things goes south.

You can apply from ANYWHERE

Thanks eFamily

I would need to b pointed towards the right route.

Do you want to relocate to work as a Pharmacist?
Or you already have another job?

Or you want to just gather money, and apply for ‘Relocation’ visa?

Are you a Pharmacist?

Dear all, please I would like to get everyone honest opinion on this issue. I’m presently working in Dubai as a sales representative earning 5,000 aed ( 625k naira ) tax free monthly with 2 times meal provided at work all in I have disposable income of 3,500 aed 430k naira but my friends in the Uk says I can make this amount in 2weeks so before I start to commit myself I would need your honest advice. Can I have this type of savings in my first 2yrs in the Uk and what’s the common salary of an average nigerian.
Ps: my expected monthly savings is around 500-600k is this achievable in the Uk for a new commer please
1. You are mixing up things...
You want to emigrate from AED to £££ but you are making the comparison in NGN.
Ogbeni, please, don’t be like Muhammadu Buhari who compares pump price of petrol between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia in Naira.

2. There are jobs you can do in the UK that you will earn 5x that amount, conversely there are jobs you can do that you may end up with 15x less disposable income.

3. Question is: What job do you want to pick up in the UK? Sales rep? Bank CEO? IT firm Director? Health care assistant? Support worker? Tesco shelf stacker? SIA-badged security man? Cornwall farm fruit picker?

When you are clearer about the job type, then you will be better advised.

By the way:
Your friends who advised, did they tell you what jobs they are doing? Did they tell you the potential job you will do in the UK?

Hello house please I need advice, for my sister who wants to apply for settlement. She applied for her transcript and certificate last year September in her university and she got all the the letters to submit to Naric, the letters were dated last year steptember. Due to some circumstances, she could not submit . Now she wants to apply and we are confused if we should use the letter dated last year or request for another one from the school ( but I don't know if the school will agree to give her another one). Kindly advise if one can use dates that is now one year to apply. Thank you
What letters please?

I know someone who used a scan copy of their BSc transcript issued in 2011 and was successfully assessed by NARIC.
Shed more light on your question, and you may be helped.

I stay in Manchester, around Moston, because good food and African shops is accessible, salon, shopping mall, business centres, food vendors, car repairs. And you can easily go to Piccadilly to have fun buy stuffs. You can visit the Manchester Arndale shopping mall where you have various shopping malls and stores. And not too far from Manchester Fort (another set for shopping malll and foodies) smiley
Bros, it appears you didn’t read OP’s question.
She wants a a POSH area. Read; P-O-S-H.....
Those areas you mentioned aren’t posh.

Oh yes darling i am willing to spend it. But you know what the major problem is getting reference as I’m new to town . Thanks
It appears that spending the big bucks is not a problem for you- which is impressive.

You don’t need to worry about references. Seriously.

Just pay for 6 months upfront, and no letting agency would ask for no damn reference.

Quick question about motoring, please.
Why am I getting insurance quotes that last 10 months (rather than 12)?

With your BRP, you are good to go with Starling.
You do not need Proof of address (or at least, I did not need any).

I don't own any of those companies you mentioned and they are registered company in case anything goes wrong you know how to get your money back.

This is not the same as individuals posting personal money exchange business here.
So if I have some ££ and would like to get some naira or vice versa, I should not network with a fellow Nairalander on this thread and barter the monies. Right?

That clarifies it, really.

I see this thread has now turned to abokiFX, this does not happen in another thread in this section. It will be double standard on my part if this continues. So people please lets stop.

Thank you
How convenient.... Mr Justwise.
If it’s you posting about moneyfex and Azimo and exchanges etc, ON THIS THREAD, then it’s okay.
If it’s others, you hide the comments and throw out a ‘warning’
Sad!

Or can you use your chest to say that you yourself have not posted exchange posts or rates or preferences on this thread?

Not Nice.

.mobile data! Three mobile network is the best it offers mind blowing data plan offers, with as low as 11pounds u can enjoy unlimited monthly browsing for 6 months. 22 pounds to enjoy the same unlimited data plan, after 6 months.
You only get those ‘mind blowing’ deals if you are on a contract. Yes?
OP is only in the UK for a couple of days , to write an exams. I doubt if Three Mobile can offer them a contract. No?

Good day everyone, please I just visited Uk to write an exam, currently observing my 14 days self isolation, does anyone know the sim card network I can use with my iPhone to have access to mobile data when am not in the house. Like using google map to navigate around,
I would go for GiffGaff.
Lycamobile and Lebara were thick on those days of dependence on voice calls to connect to Naija.
With data calls (2go, Nimbuzz, Whatsapp, Facebook, Telegram etc...) I would go for Giffgaff which gives more data than lyca or lebara for similar money.
