Islam is dying, millions of people are leaving islam daily. statistically, millions of muslims have lost their lives in bomb attacks.

The previous statistics of people who lost their lives in syria last year is almost million. Christianity at the other hand is growing rapidly.

So tell me how can islam surpass christianity when you are losing large numbers of people everyday?

You guys should stop having that impression abt islam being the fastest growing religion on earth.
Stop telling stories... Bring hard facts with links

Is it not funny that an atheist that claims he grew up in a home of indoctrination is attributing population to indoctrination.

If the indoctrination is so powerful, how did u break away to become atheist?

Mscheww undecided
It's difficult to overcome indoctrination but it's not impossible.
Case in point: felixomor and randomperson.

Duh, real Christianity is by evangelism not by the assumption above.
You're proving my exact point....
Real Christianity is by evangelism, yet the people that are leaving Christianity are more than those converting to it... That's in spite of evangelism.

There is no argument in this topic. hahn said it, knowledge is being transferred in form of teaching, indoctrination is also synonymous to teaching.

As per the statistics, it is never an absolutely correct data, its just a sample to derived certain conclusion at a point in time
It's a projection done on the basis of the current realities... That means right now more people are leaving Christianity than converting to it... That's the stats

Very daft thread. So it's Islam that will survive without jihad, forceful conversions and evil apotaasy laws. You claim to be an atheist but your soft spot for the religion of satan(islam) is so glaring.

What is Indoctrination? Act of teaching

How do we know what we know? we were thought. those who carried out the studies must be 1st class noble idiot.

bet someone don start to learn some music wey him wan dey teash him children na..... indoctrination
You can't argue with the stats...
There will be about a 60 million deficit when we compare those that will convert to Christianity with those that will leave...
That's shows that on its merits, Christianity is falling short

Christianity EtcThe number of people leaving Christianity outnumbers the converts by randomperson(op):
Christianity among other religions is projected to increase significantly in population in the next decade and beyond. But this increase is mainly down to the high birthrates of the countries which are religious rather than the conversion of "unbelievers".
In fact, by 2050, Christianity is forecasted to have the biggest exodus of all religions, losing 106 million believers while gaining just 40 million converts.
This shows that on it's merits, more people are leaving Christianity than are joining. And the only way Christianity maintains it's population is by it's high birthrate and intense indoctrination...

But some of the richest people in the world are/were also religious, not everything is black and white. Many factors and policies contribute to the likelihood of wealth or poverty of a Nation, or a set of people, and religon has little or nothing to do with it. The likes of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE comes to mind. We know oil played a major role in all of those cases, it would be myopic then to say they are rich due to religion. If the reverse was the case, it would also be myopic to attribute their poverty to religion.
We're trying to establish a pattern here. That's why we're not just relying on a single country... Take a look at the most religious countries viz a viz the poor ones... Is there a correlation? The obvious answer is yes...

Are you sure you an atheist?

Because your personal text in your profile says "am working in power, am working in miracle".

To answer your question, all atheist in Africa are seen as crazy people, people think they are crazy and doomed.

Women are known to be gullible and more religious, it will sound awkward for women to be atheist in Africa.

And as for your children, ofcos it will affect them since both you and hubby are atheist.
How will it affect them

Mischievous op with a baseless thread.

America is the country with the largest population of Christians and it is certainly the richest country with no other country coming close.

Rubbish.
Ignorance is bad enough but when combined with arrogance, it's bad news for that person and the people who will have the misfortune of conversing with him... US is not one of the five richest countries in the world. And even when we measure by standard of living, US is still not the best.
And BTW, the richest, most educated states and the ones with the lowest crime rates in the US are the most irreligious while the Opposite is the case for the religious ones

Because that is not how science works. There is no possible methodology to this kind of study that one cannot pick big holes in. The atheists themselves would not have accepted the study had a reverse result been obtained. Just shows that atheists have blind faith too, but only in their own designated 'prophets'.
I actually thought u wanted to critic the research based on methodology, parameters, sample size or some other actual ground for reasonable objection... But all I see is just unwillingness to accept the result because it's unfavorable to you
There are ways of measuring intelligence which though not perfect are consistent, reliable and practical... And there was a significant difference or distinction between the results of atheists and theists.
If u have another explanation for the difference between the results for the different groups, then let's hear it

The study was obviously carried out on christians. I think your headline should be "Atheists more intelligent than Religious Christians". Accuracy is essential. In any case, the whole study and its results are suspect.
Why do you say so?

I'm against religion myself. I just want to be sure the conclusion isn't bias.

Does that mean all poor people are religious? All illiterates are religious?

And it seems the irreligious ones we are talking about here are the atheists because adding the Christians may cause confusion here.

So are all atheists literate? Are all atheists rich?

I think most of the richest and most literate countries got to that level with the help of the religious ones in them and I'm sure the religious ones make up the highest percentage
Not all atheists are rich... In fact, there are probably more rich Christians than rich atheists but a sample of poor people will show a deeply religious demography

AK47 is so power and affordable but it usually not going to hit the eye target.

Prayer is not granting yourself what you want, but asking for what you want. Its up to the give to respond or decline.

Why would he decline? because he is the give
The bolded makes no sense... Why did god decline to stop the menace of boko haram for years? Because he can?

The bolded is just what I'm interested in. Which means the government is a factor behind poverty and illiteracy. Good.
No one is saying religion is the sole cause of poverty. We're saying people resort to religion as an opium for poverty.
Most of the richest and most literate countries have significant percentages of irreligious people while most poor countries are deeply religious.

Tell me the difference. remember it did not say the Earth is a Circle. but that God sits at the circle of the Earth.

In Isaiah 40:22
says," It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth

You Atheists try so hard to expose yourselves not Christainity. you were zealous to show me that the Bible said the Earth was flat, now i have proved your propangander wrong ,you have shifted grounds, your argument is now, weather a circle is the same thing as a sphere.
Even a ten year old child understands that a Sphere can also be seen as a circle depending on how it is looked at .
So circle of the earth means what? That the earth is spherical?
The bible supports the idea of a flat earth. The story of the tower of Babel, the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven, the temptation of Jesus Christ where he was shown all the kingdoms of the world from the top of a mountain, the second coming of Jesus where all humans we see him in the sky... All these point logically to a flat earth. A circle is flat, a sphere is not...
If u don't know the difference between a circle and a sphere then u need to ask for a refund of school fees from your primary school

Christianity EtcRe: Proved: Atheists More Intelligent Than Religious People by randomperson: 10:48am On Feb 09, 2017
GoodMuyis:
scientific proposition is not absolute, some are later being made incorrect.

Atheist being intelligent than their religious counterpart is a fallacy. Even Bible made it clear, that when you give yourself to studying you will be intelligent.

I think you guys (atheist) should realized that religion is a culture, a way of life, and their are different kind of its culture. what you practices doesn't make you intelligent, but rather what you study.

Here is my quote again?

Human are not intelligent than each other but those who found and use the created element for human development are genius (goodmuyis 2017)

Being intelligent is not about how many question you have answers to BUT how many problem you have solution to... Einstein was not tag genius because he uses google to answer questions, he solve problems
Hmmm, where do I start from?
Humans are more intelligent than each other. Intelligence is a human attribute. So if a person can be stronger, bolder, faster, quieter than another, why can't a person be more intelligent than another.
There is scientific proof that atheists are more intelligent than the religious. Your comment above does nothing to challenge that

The more comfortable you get, the less your need for a sky daddy...
There is also a theory I've read about, that countries with the best welfare programs have high atheist populations...
So if the government can take care of the people, the people see no need for god
