Well, Op, hope you heard about the story of Nneka's mother? undecided. . .The Nneka that am talkin about is the Nigerian-American girl that was one of the contestant in one of the episode of "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL". Her fathers relation does not like her mother b'cos, her mother could not concieve a male child, so they hated her and wanted her out of the house (although, she already had 3daughters, and Nneka was the first child). Meanwhile, after the 3rd child, the doctor told her not to have children anymore, but the husband resisted and pasuaded his wife for another pragnancy. There goes the 4th prenancy and after delivering the baby, lo and behold, it was a female child, and guess what happened next? undecided. . .After 10days, Nneka's mother died. cry I think, after 1 year, the father wasn't able to take care of them all (the 4daughters), so, he sent Nneka and the last daughter to America, to stay with their aunt (and that was the end of her mother)! embarassed

I decided to share this story with you b'cos, I beleive YOU know what you want for yourself, and you know how, and when to get your happiness. Don't allow criticism push you into a situation whereby you'll not be happy for the rest of your life. Let them "talk D talk", but "walk D walk" when you know that the time is RIGHT for YOU!
Tears welled up in my eyes while i was going through the posts.
No be lie my sista, same with me!

Nella, God bless you for bringin up this thread, you have really made me question myself on my way of life lately!

Though, my family are christians, but there'r difference between being a christian religion and followin God in the right path. It all started back then in '98 when my uncle came for a visit, so I decided to go back with him. He attends deeper life church, and back then, I don't really like the church, infact, I hate anything pertaining deeper life then (never knowin I'll oneday be a proud member). It's a long story, but to cut it short, in church service, I have been hearin so many preachings from the pastor (kumuyi). Sometimes, I'll give my life to christ, before you know it, Im back to my old ways. It has been these ups & downs and I keep askin myself, what's wrong with me? There was a day that the pastor was preachin and to my greatest surprise, tears started rollin down my eyes. After the service, I asked myself, "was I truely the one crying? "

Finally, this faithful day of service came and when the pastor was ministering, it was as if all what he was saying were refering to me, and me alone. I was so ashamed of myself that I couldn't even look direct to the pulpit while he was preaching. To worsen the matter, the last comment he made before leavin the alter that KNOCKED me off my feet was "WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN, WE WON'T MEET LOT'S WIFE". I gave up IMMEDIATELY. Even my uncle knew that Rano wasn't the same anymore (afterwards).

But after my uncle travelled abroad and I became incharge of his bizness, temptations started swaving from left to right. And the worst part is that, the girls that I never dreamt of talkin to were the once that started coming my way smilishly! Im stil pushin and tryin hard in prayin and reading the bible everyday but sometimes, I find myself very weak to do it, due to this devilish backslidin spirit (of which is not good b'cos, the bible says we should pray without season). But all in all, even if my relationship with God is not that close like before, atleast, that comment that kumuyi made has REALLY & TRUELY opened and changed my life from the way I used to live before, and I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET THAT COMMENT TILL I DIE !!! . . .It makes me think twice in some sinful things that I would want to do.

God, pls, give me the spirit and strenght to continue steadfastly in your works, in jesus name, Amen!. . . . .Bless y'all.

So are you not telling me that if she is your sister you would allow her do that even after finding out that the guy he was dating is married with kids and even the age difference is too much,it doesn't make any sense and that is total prostitution all for the sake of little money she collect??
You mis-comprehended what I meant.

What I was tryin to say is that, she had already heard and roggered (understood) the proverb you said to her (about your cousine being a married man with a child), but she stil insisted to continue the relationship with him. You might think she's been sweet-mouthed by your cousine hence her continuation with the relationship, but, I think she's stil on it b'cos of the benefits (gifts, money etc) she's gettin from him, just like your cousine is her ATM machine (if you know what I mean)!
FamilyRe: Are Girls More Difficult To Train Than Boys? by Ranoscky(m): 2:21pm On Jan 17, 2011
adexchamp:
Well in my own opinion i think girls are much difficult to train that boys in many senses because Boys when they got to some age they can hold on to themselves but girls when reach puberty age they are so difficult,it happens to my cousin who is a guy,he is married with a son but he loves small chicks of 16-18,so he saw this girl on facebook and he added her as a friend and one in matter of days they began seeing each other, the girl is 19 and she is a friend on my FB acct to,so i try telling her in proverbs that what she's doing is silly but she wont listen because my cousin had sweet-mouthed her so much that she already fell in Love not knowing the guy is married with a kid, this trend is still going and they are still seeing each other and having intimacy everyday but i decided to keep my mouth shut because she decided not to listen but i know quite sure that by the time she realises her mistake it would be late.So please girls try to prove some sense of decency and decorum and dont do what you will regret later in life, !
She know's what she's doing man. She might have already had it in mind that your cousine is married with a kid, but I believe she herself knows that she stands no chance of hookin your cousine as her husband (cos he's married). She's just continuing the relationship with him all for the fun of it, and also, b'cos of the money your cousine do give to her.

naijangel7:
I hope he recovers fully really soon and God bess him and his family.

Having said that i think there´s really something gay about his pose in that picture and the funny things around his neck and wrists. Doesn´t look masculine at all. Shey a Mr. Nigeria is supposed to be the prototypical male? What´s with the choker around his neck and hand on hips, complete with bracelets? He coud have worn them bracelet things around his upper arm and lose the choker, more masculine.
Hush girl, just hush!

The logical thing is to be wary, or don't you think so?
Ya, it's important for her to be wary, but are the responses over this thread worth it? undecided

Let's be specific, How many guys in Nigerian today are wary of themselves when spendin on their girlfriends? undecided How many girls in Nigeria today are wary of 50/50 in a relationship before askin their boyfriends money for BBB, hair make-up, perfume, body lotion etc, are they not also workin and earnin money for themselves? undecided

If some of the female rantins here are from none Nigerian girls, that would have be a different case, b'cos, we all know that relationships are surpose to be a 50/50 thing, to the benefit of both partner. But almost 98% of the responses on this thread are from NIGERIAN girls that WE ALL know their lifestyle (and dem stil dey form ajebor).

So why nagetive responses over a girl that decided to help her boyfriend financialy? undecided
FamilyRe: Am I Doing Wrong By Supporting My Boyfriend Financially? by Ranoscky(m): 4:26pm On Jan 14, 2011
And all these "don't give him money anymore" are comin from the NIGERIAN GIRLS that WE all knows about? undecided

Are they now sayin that the relationship in Nigeria today is 50/50? shocked

these are the people that their boyfriends bought all the things (clothes, shoes, watch, necklace, ear-rings etc) they used durin the christmas season, and all their boyfriends had in return was s3x, and NOTHING but s3x! Apart from that, their boyfriends also took them to some pleasurable places to catch fun and all that (how many girls bought the BBB they'r usin today with their money?) and here they are talkin trash about someone helpin another financialy in a TEMPORARY situation, What a BIG shame!

This topic has truly revealed the kind of girls/women that we have here in NL.

Op, just like I said before, do it for love, but don't do more than you can, k? God WILL SURELY reward you back!

The fact that Nairaland is a faceless forum, one can just walk in and say anything. Somehow, I wonder why it's only the one's that claimed they'r married are, not only disagree, but also abussive and disrespectful to the OP and some other posters that aired their opinion on this thread. Claimin they share the house bills with their husband 50/50. Y'all can even say you'r the one's that even married your husbands, that's your mosquito bites.

But somwhow, I just wish the husbands of some married female NLanders are here readin what their wives are rantin in an open forum like this!
