My point which I made very clear in my initial reply, is that Wikipedia is neither an objective, nor a reliable source of information, especially one that could influence an election decision. You are aware of your degree of influence in this forum and it would be unfortunate if anyone is misled to wholeheartedly trust Wikipedia's articles.

Wikipedia has rules that promote objectivity. It has editors and admins, who watch important pages and enforce the rules.

That does not change the fact that Wikipedia's articles are not reliable or accepted as a reference source anywhere. Objectivity is promoted, not enforced, therefore it is not assured.

How can you call a Wikipedia article objective when it can be edited by anyone with an internet connection?

GEJ obviously lacks the intellectual ability, reasoning capacity or reflective competence to write a PhD thesis, whether in Zoology or in fishing.

We demand that Goodluck Jonathan release and show educated Nigerians his PhD thesis, as he cannot continue disgracing that title, and cannot rule over thousands of brilliant PhD holders with an unmerited academic degree that has the prestige of a PhD. We must spread the word on Fb, Twitter and other SM channels.

Did you see the size of his boat? For her class, that fisherman's boat (or kondo) is probably the Rolls Royce of boats compared to those of other fishermen in the town.

Edo State is APC State. If Oshiomole is APC, what do you expect his followers to come up with. So this is not about Jonathan's region speaking against him, this is strictly political.

If your logic is to be strictly applied, then members of MEND which condemned the President in favor of his rival, are all indigene's of one state, which is governed by the APC?

Keep quiet FFK. You have lost this one. INEC has spoken, all that the constitution requires is for the electoral body to be satisfied that the presidential candidate possesses the required qualification, not even necessarily present it to anyone. That said, GMB's statement of result is 100% valid.

Some South-South ex-militant generals and commanders in Edo State on Wednesday announced their support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the February 14 presidential poll, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari ( retd.).

They also commended the leadership of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta for endorsing Buhari, insisting that the group’s (MEND’s) action should be treated with seriousness.

The ex-militants told journalists in Benin, the Edo State capital, that their position was in line with the expectations and hope of Nigerians for positive change and development, particularly, the development of the Niger Delta region.

The spokesperson for the group, Mr. Godwin Ogidigba, explained that the ex-agitators had implicit confidence in the ability of Buhari, whom he said, was capable of addressing the major challenges affecting various communities in the region, which were yet to be addressed by the present administration.

He said, “In recent publications in the dailies, you see MEND endorsing Buhari. People thought it was a joke. It is not. The fact remains that we need somebody that can address the salient issues that affect the Niger Delta region.

“Our brother has failed in those issues; our brother has failed to take us away from poverty, our brother has failed to bring development to the Niger Delta region.

“Just take a look at most of the Niger Delta communities. They still remain where they are, in spite of the fact that we have one of our own at the top, at the helm of affairs, nothing positive has changed in the region.”

Ogidigba argued that their choice of Buhari had nothing to do with religion or ethnicity but centred on their desire for unity in the country.

He noted that although the amnesty programme had brought some relief to youths in the region, some of the terms of the agreement had yet to be implemented.

Ogidigba said, “Somebody who can stand and develop our region, that should be our interest and that is our interest. It is true that President Goodluck Jonathan is from the South-South region; he is our brother. But the problem is this: he came to meet the amnesty programme and since then he has not been able to improve on it, which means that the amnesty programme stopped when the late (President) Musa Yar’Adua died.”

Lai Muhammad is questioning the double speak of the Nigerian Army.

I was really impressed at Lai's doggedness, the way he destroyed the perjury issue and blew it to smithereens was a well tuned master stroke. I'm glad he made the point that GMB swore his RECORDS were with the military (which they duly despatched to him yesterday) and not his WASC certificate in particular, which sucks the putrid air out of the perjury claim.
