I doubt she knew the driver before hand, the journey she was making wasn’t one she usually make every day. This one was a one off, the driver was a older guy so as per Nigerian culture (Respect to the elders). She probably just listened and sat at the back.

Of course I would never have got on a bus that doesn’t have any lights on, not sure if the light was on and then turned off AFTER she got on the bus. But the light were off when she recorded the video that she sent to her mate, and she told her that the driver told her to sit all the way at the back.

Maybe he was meant to return the bus but he then was using it to make extra money, and doesn’t want anyone to see the passengers in the bus? I don’t know as am just guessing here.

That’s exactly what I thought too, am a pharmacist here in the UK and I have dealt with this a lot of the times. What he describes doesn’t seems like herpes to me, more like shingles. It would have helps to see a picture of the affected area(s).

Mate! Whether the family are lying or not. Fact is her private part was NOT cut off. The pictures circulating online proves it. She was probably raped and strangled. Was he asked this questions? Because am not really sure what sort of journalist would stand in front of a suspect and have chances to ask these sort of questions but not bother asking. You felt bad that the girl was being dragged, after leaving her there did you ring the police? Your work? Co-workers? Why was your bus light switched off? Why did the girl claimed you asked her to sit all the way at the back? Why didn’t you report anything until her videos and messages surfaced on social media? Yep, I saw that the victim’s mother was about to open the bus’s door as it wasn’t locked, until someone told her not to, that bus should be in the possession of the police/forensic team. Not still parked at the bus station where it can be cleaned out.

The English test is just to make sure they don’t have any excuses whatsoever. At the end of the day Nigeria is an English speaking country, but if she was 12-15 I would say don’t bother, but because she is 17 and is coming to settle here finally I would say just get her to do it and tick it off your bucket list, with my wife her daughters are 8 and 12 so they don’t need it.

In terms of letter from her father, am not sure if you need that, why? The fact that you have her last name as yourself was genius. If she was bearing her biological fathers last name then you might need the letter to take her out of the country.

With my wife her daughters have their fathers last name and we are trying to get that change ASAP.

Amazing!!! I was so scared for her, she is basically entitled to whatever visa you currently have. So appt for her right away as your dependent. The usual documentation would be mostly the same thing that you need when you were doing your application.

If she’s going to go to college in the UK then try and look for one for her now, get her to do the TB test, English test etc, your and your husband financially details (Bank statements, payslips), your daughters passport, birth certificate etc.

Just check gov.uk for child dependent application and the list is there. Better to sort it out in the next 4-6 months.
