gst101: i had an aurguement with my friend and he said that sir alex ferguson does not like black players. I mentioned some black players in man utd. I even said Evra and Ferdinand are Ferguson's captains but he said no. He said that; to the white man, there is a diff btw the likes of jamaine defoe and black africans.
I have not been to the UK before so i dont know. For those of you who have been to europe or america i want to hear from you.

What a load of rubbish, Ferguson tried to buy Essien and Mikel Obi, both of them were stolen from us, by Chelsea. Today we have Pogba who is set to be a major player for us, unless he leaves for Juventus.

Moreover, what does he mean by Jermain Defoe and Black African? Most white people think the Caribbean is in Africa.

Nigerian men came out to be the shortest in this list. I find this a little strange - obviously there are issues that undermine the data (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Average_height). And yes, I know it's Wikipedia. But hmm, undecided

Based on those height averages, I must be a freak of nature; moreover, I’ve NEVER met a 5ft 4 Nigerian man before!

If you want to know the real height of the average Nigerian male, just look at our football team. At the last world cup, the Nigerian National Team was the second tallest at the event!

I have said it that Peter Obi has a PERSONAL interest in this election, and he and Dora come from the most populous LGA in this zone. So, lets wait.

All these Yoruba folks trying to shout us down have not explained why ONLY ACN is doing well in SW.
You could never convince a smart guy that other parties lack credible candidates.

I also said somewhere that Ngige (if he wins) will get to the national assembly to find out that he will not be given any leadership post, afterall he is from SE. Then states with majority ACN (SW states of course) will grab all the juicy posts, leaving Ngige with an empty bag. At that point, his victory will become our defeat, his gain then becomes our loss .

That is why this election goes far beyond personal achievements and personalities. You have to be able to represent your zone very well at the national assembly. I don' t see how Ngige can effectively do that in ACN. He will suffer from the same disease of negligence by those in PDP.

Someone should please launch a MASSIVE political education in Igboland. We appear the worst political illiterates!

How are Igbo people going to benefit from practicing “primitive” tribal politics? Not surprised by CPC’s turnout in the North, the North being the most impoverished region of the country were tribalism seems to be most rife; any platonic minded individual would be able to see the correlation between high levels of tribalism and mass poverty. Unless you think Igbo people should join the ranks of “begging”.

Why would those groups deny being Igbo? Is being Igbo seen as a bad thing in Naija or something? 

Igbo People are amongst the most educated and accomplished ethnic nations within the continent of Africa.

Being amongst one of the accomplished Peoples in Africa isn’t bad.

Why don't you lot find something better to do with yourselves instead of all this cheap talk?  Why don't you just be proud of who you are and capitalise on your strengths and just carry on with your daily lives?  Why don't you?  Why the air of superiorty?  Why the chip on your shoulders?  Why?

You talk about education, I haven't yet seen anything useful that you guys have contributed to the betterment of this Forum in terms of education, except politics and culture. 

Nobody has really said anything extremely bad about you Ibos - and many examples abound.  I have spoken out on so many occassions in defence of you lot in this Forum even though I'm not Ibo.   

What I'm saying is that I don't dislike you BUT I'm sick to the back teeth as to how you guys have chosen to carry on with yourselves.  As you can see in all my postings, I have tried to be as objective as possible by calling a spade a spade and not try to knock anybody simply on account of the one's tribal grouping. 

PLease STOP this carry on and be proud of who you are.  Be proud of being a Nigerian or Biafran if that makes you happy.

All these threads are not started by Igbo People so what the hell are you rambling on about. It's non-Igbo People that have this great fixation with us. Can't stop thinking about us and liken our business acumen to colonisation of their native hinterlands.

No one is stopping these other ethnic groups from educating themselves and becoming productive members of Nigerian society instead of battling over land once Igbo People have ploughed it.

I think with time the centre will begin to lose more and more of its power, this is the only logical outcome.

Why declare Bankruptcy Nigeria has enough money in her federal reserves to pay all outstanding debts, in fact Nigeria is in better stead than 99% of Western Nations when you look at it from that perspective.

UK, USA, Australia, Ireland are all HIGHLY indebted countries that may eventually have to default on their payments.

I have faith that Nigeria can operate as many regions collaborating under a single banner.

I’d never agree to the dissolution of Nigeria, simply because of the effect it’d have on the continent as a whole, especially where it pertains to peacekeeping operations.

Well it’s not as common anymore, but it used to happen fairly regularly in the past.

The UK is a less bouyant economy. If one does not attend certain institutions it is highly unlikely and close to zero chance that they will get the very plum jobs whether they are white or black. There is severe competition for the top jobs that are few (or at least far fewer than in the US).

In the UK, if you are home-trained, just hope the council or one-man business is hiring. There are volumes of overqualified foreigners (European and beyond) that are looking for the same roles you want, so ensure your profile is strong.

Ironically, Igbo people are characterised as being the most hospitable people in Nigeria. Can you give me some sort of evidence to support your claim that Igbo people are causing a fracas anywhere?
