THE WEATHER is beautiful. and pity some people can't differentiate weather from pollution (a simple lesson in geography should do the trick). ^{takes out geography textbk and adjusts her eye glasses.}Weather is God-given or nature bestowed while pollution is man-made or homo-sapien inflicted . QED!

THE NATURAL RESOURCES are bounteous. That is why a lot of 'oyinbos' are willing to invest in the country, ceteris paribus. That is with right political and economic atmosphere.

THE HUMAN RESOURCES. HAPPY PEOPLE. Fela APTLY described us as 'suffering and smiling' They are very optimistic and persevering. plus peace-loving. I love my people. Intelligent though could be laid-back. But on the whole, Nigerians are great!!

And so is Nigeria.

Are u kidding me?? I've hurt over A (1) guy for 5 years plus!. Funny i just had one or so relationship in between those years. Over time, i thanked God that things went the way they went because i later realised some things i didn't know about the guy that were quite painful and that he just wasn't worth it. Knowing that he wasn't worth my salt did not take away the pain o, it just pacified me a little. And i've moved on. THANK GOD

My dear, i'm glad u are finally over that relationship. Just like u said, u have just begun the cycle of life and as time goes on in the years, yu\ou begin to wonder why you took certain decisions. That's what growing is all about.
And we all keep growing or dying(if u are not learning in life). So learn from the bad relationship so u can make ur next one much better.

Where do u stay in Sokoto? I had my second degree from Geog dept UDUS. I'm now based in Lagos though. Stayed at Downtown, J.Allen. Also stayed at Goronyo (NYSC).

I've lived in Sokoto at some tym in my life. It culd be boring, i know but like i said try and make good friends. Travel out of town if possible. Do some Just do things to keep ur mind off that babe because i assure u she don't know jack about love. At her tender age, she's already flirting around. shocked

I understand your plight so much because i've had a friend in a similar situation. Like u, the guy culdn't get a very good job. He became self-employed scouting for jobs here and there. he even used to travel outside his location to scout and tender for contracts and jobs for about 4 years after nysc. all the while, he had a relationship going, with enuff concerns about 'can the babe keep waiting?' the babe began cheating on him even though he turned a blind eye but i told him to let her go. He held on, later told me he wished he had listened. Don't know what happened afterwards.

I think what u should do is u guys should sit down and communicate. At least u have a job, can u draw a budget and tailor your lifestyle according to your coat? What can she bring to the table?(don't die of ego). Work out something between the two of you. There's no crime in
starting small. Staying small is definitely unpardonable. But if it seems too great a thing 4 her to do, DO NOT hesitate to move on. Like someone said, once a lady's heart is no longer with you, forget about it.She's gone for good.

Whenever i sit down and meditate on the Niger delta issue, i am not able to summon up enough compassion for the N.Delta people. Now don't go calling me heartless cos that is not without reason.

According to some folks i know that live, i said live and grew up in the rurals of some Niger Delta state, a lot of the problem of underdevelopment arose from saboteurs who called themselves Youth and Community Development leaders. What these young chaps do is approach those Multinational thieves (Shell, Chevron and family) for ransomes in place of development dues, of course it's called development fees when it's being collected (the multinationals know it's NOT going to be used for developing nada. These guys take to the street with wild spending and frenzied living. Of course, they 'settle' all the relevant people and gag them with their dues AND THE MASSES ARE PACIFIED WITH FALSE HOPES AND PROMISES that things will soon be alrite. However, when the town's been painted red and the fun is gone, they go back to the 'thieves' who would rather give a chicken change of about N2-3m max per return trip than spend N5-N15b to provide quality pipe borne water and tarred roads at the least to a community where they make stupendous, mind-blowing and eye-bling gain from.

It's a theatre of the absurds. In this theatre, u have about 4 categories of peolpe:
1. The poor, helpless, unlearned people in the rural areas who have no voice;
2. The greedy youth leaders who are incensed in their lust and obssession for filthy lucre;
3. The uncaring and unfeeling Government i.e (Federal and State ) for its populace welfare;
4. The opportunistic and (i just lack words to describe them; angry

) Multinationals who can do no such thing in their own Motherland. But can i blame them huh

? If there's no crack in the wall, the lizard can not enter into the wall.

The so-called leaders of the people are the very ones who sell them into slavery and when the people now take to the streets cause they can be silent no longer, we do not hear of these things that have gone underway.
No doubt the people have been oppressed and suppressed. And i insist, if the F.G. faces up to its responsibity, those rogues will pay their dues. AND in full too.

There's something to be said about methods of preparation and the sysmptoms.

Eating moi-moi, and akara which are made from beans don't seem to cause so much stooling and excessive gas.

Maybe eating beans in this form causes us to eat less and avoid the outer-coating--- which maybe contributing to fiber.

LOL.

I agree that beans is extra hard work for some people's digestive sysytem beacsue i realize that it's not everybody that stools after eating beans. What i mean is that some bowels move on a normal level and fart (very normal) but a sizeable amount of people have running stomach (diarrhoea) after beans.

I also concur to cooking method making a difference, no matter what some people say. i grew up hating beans even though my mum would insist and i wouldnt have a choice but to eat but my system's intolerance grew by the day. By the time i was in Secondary school, i couldn't eat beans without extreme diarrhoea so i stopped eating it.
However, rescue came after my NYSC, while i was undergoing my 2nd degree. My roommate used to wonder why i never liked beans but i was a bit adventurous and tried eating beans she cooked about twice and i didn't stool. I was surprisesd and thought it was coincidence. Somehow, i later discovered that she drains the water from the beans after it has boiled for like 30-40 mins, then pour fresh water with lots of onion. And that's how i've been cooking beans since. No more shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii**ing. Peace!!! grin

. Now, it just moves my bowels normally.

Very good point u made there. Number 1 question, Did he promise to marry you? How defined is your relationship? The mistake a lot of babes make is to hang out with a guy without finding out how far he is willing to go with them.
