Pique has always been a hapless player. It was the counter pressing of tiki-taka that covered his arse all these years but with Xavi out and Iniesta following he has become as miserably exposed like a fowl without feathers. The FC Barcelona we used to love, hate and fear is long gone.

God punish britain for granting us independence . am beginin to agree with Lord Lugard on this brutal submission

"In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person, lacking in self-control, discipline, and foresight. Naturally courageous, and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewellery. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals' placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the state he has reached.

"Through the ages, the African appears to have evolved no organised religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural. He lacks the power of organisation, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility - he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue. In brief, the virtues and defects of his race -type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future
Can't agree more.

hedonistic:
This police spokesman must be brainless. From the very stupid statement, the only thing 'linking' the so-called suspects to the crime is that they wealthy but have no "identifiable means of income".

Since when did the law make it a crime for anyone to not to have an identifiable means of income? Which specific law stipulates such and how do you define "identifiable"?

Besides, what's the direct or indirect connection between being wealthy without an identifiable means of income and the Ozubulu church killings?
Well if you display affluence without commensurate legit income you must be a criminal. I think all societies accept that. The infamous Al-Capone was finally nailed for tax fraud when they couldn't make other charges stick. As they say in the FBI, 'follow the money'. It will lead to all sorts of interesting places and perhaps solve a lot of knotty crimes.

First time I have heard the police make an arrest based on this kind of assertion. And is a faulty one at that because most criminals do have legit day jobs and investments. That is why there is a term called money laundering.

Its just a nightmare storing cars. Seals leak, petrol is so corrosive esp high oct. Hydraulic fluids, power steering fluids become something else over time. After a year just be prepared to drain everything but check and change hoses first even the braided ones which in some cases will become brittle especially when you park outdoors, uncovered in this tropical heat system..... and don't forget to check the tension in your belts. Roll the engine and check for cracks which may fail if you just hop in and embark on distant drives....real nightmare.

On another post someone was alluding to the fact that Mr. President can remain abroad perpetually simply because there is nothing in our laws and statutes that says the leader of this nation must govern from within its borders only. I agree. But shouldn't these anomalies be the priorities of Nigerians and not who should occupy what office in 2019. Isn't it wise for a farmer to prepare the land properly for the next crop especially when the previous harvest was poor. I cannot understand Nigerians and their warped priorities. Just get the basics right and even a monkey can be sent to the moon. Our problems has been our structure not leaders. Every country on earth will elect a madman into office once a while but most are stable and progressive. We seek saint after saint yet plant those choice seeds in corrosive soils and wail when we get tares instead. We are so dense walahi.

They have started again with their idolatry. Chasing after individuals and perceived messiahs. Selling their souls for utopia that will never come. When will Nigerians ever learn that individuals donot build nations, the collective will of the people does. Just as I warned in 2013, 14 and 15, a change of occupant in Aso Rock will not change Nigeria fundamentally and it is fundamental change that we need. Three years down the line what has changed fundamentally for heavens sake. Can any Nigerian boldly claim that this country is on the right path and with the end of any tenure we can conclusively claim whatever gains we have made as progressive and sustainable...no.

It is the people that have to elect their 'minds to higher office', higher levels of thinking that will make them tackle the hardest challenges they face which primarily is how to live amongst themselves free of all hindrances, thus enabling them develop properly and sustsinably. No leader since independence has been able to do ths so why the fuss about changing them when the next will just be as useless or worse than the present. Have we ever had a better tomorrow in Nigeria...folks, I repeat again. CHANGE THE GAME, NOT THE PLAYERS. RESTRUCTURE NIGERIA NOW.

That is his fault. It is he who arranged his cars like books in a shelf, took the photos and uploaded them. You can see him banging away on his phone. No one put a gun to his head. He asked for it. His lack of wisdom brings the church into disrepute. Apostle Paul warned about our appearance and conduct. It is important how we live our lives with or without blessings so that no evil report is pronounced in our name.

The businessman has to answer the following; Has the manager broken any laws as stated in the constitution by going on vacation? Is it stipulated in the work constitution that the manager calls the businessman while on vacation? Is there a stipulated time frame as stated in the constitution that the manager can stay away as regards to his vacation? Has the assistant manager being unable to perform his duties while the manager is away? Rules are rules, as long as the manager has not broken any of the businessman's work rules, he has done nothing wrong. If you don't like what the manager is doing, change the rules. Stop the sentiment
Clever by half. The question is straight forward. If you are the owner of the establishment and this occured. What will you do. I won't give a personal answer to this as my staff is fully aware I donot tolerate nonsense whatsoever but your standards for life and living may be different. Just give a honest answer from the bottom of your heart and stop quoting things you donot believe in and cannot bring yourself to practice in all situations. Just be principled.

Wasn't the church blessed or consecrated before the killings of last Sunday? Yet the killings happened. I reckon if this were to be a school or any other public place, it would have been locked up for a while for fear of a second attack or something. But its a church so expect it to be full again tomorrow.

Religion, Karl Max said is the opium of the masses. It is the strongest mind control program in the world.
Yes, let it control our minds. What controls yours.

You employ a manager to manage your company. The package comes with salary, housing, medicals and so on.

The manager then disappears for 96 days on medical leave, sends you a letter saying he has handed over to the assistant manager to coordinate in his absence, assuring you that there is no vacuum in the office.

During his disappearance, you only see his photos on Facebook, no calls, no video messages directly to you YET YOU ARE THE ONE STILL PAYING HIS BILLS WHILE HE IS ON MEDICAL LEAVE IN A FOREIGN LAND.

You have no idea when he's going to return and you have no idea of what's wrong with him.

As a business man, what will be your next line of action?

This is 2017 and the world is moving at a fast pace. For Nigeria to catch up, we must put aside political and ethnic sentiments and be able to call a spade a spade. Enough of the hypocrisy!

That is wealth. With vision you graduate from rich to wealth. It is the rich that eat and sleep riches, the wealthy are hardly materialistic. For someone like Gates, the rich work for him. Wealth is the capacity to continue generating value whether you are there or not, alive or dead.
