Politics › Re: Dire Consequences In Niger-Delta If Jonathan Is Not Re-elected - Presidency by Reference(m): 11:37pm On Apr 25, 2013
This is how you know a leadership has failed when it sees itself as the only solution to a challenge pressing beyond her time. Come 2015, GEJ will be swept aside, some of the militants will be sent home early, Nigeria will remain peaceful and Clark will be history and Niger Deltan will witness true development!

Many of them shouting GEJ must rule in 2015 already sworn their life in a cult somewhere and are busy causing trouble cos they know they won't be around by 2015 anyway. Nigeria is bigger than any individual, and no region can hold the country to ransoms. My fellow beothers in Niger Delta must hear this and take heed.
Every region IS HOLDING THIS COUNTRY TO RANSOME right this very moment and you know what, it is a very good thing. It is the only way to solving this country's problems. Regions are getting more powerful and increasingly independent. That is right. Am not a believer in false peace but negotiated peace with respect. Today the Federal government is BUYING the unity of this country. That is clinging to vanity. The underlying problems remain. Lets not kid ourselves. If one's life depended on crude oil now (not tomorrow) is the time to free one's self from that shackle.

akaOpene: So jonathan wants to get a 2nd tenure via blackmail & threats rather than his first term achievements and some people here are ok with it.What a pity.
No sir, its not a pity, it is the reality. What is a pity is that folks like you are completely out of touch with the reality of all that has held this entity together called Nigeria.

When we say the number one problem in Nigeria is her structure others will be running after mice carrying plagues of corruption and other vices.

We shall see. If Nigeria cannot find structural equilibrium then forget it. Nothing will ever work the way it is expected.

You think those boys in the creeks will watch outsiders plunder the resources beneath them to become overnight billionaires and will remain silent and naive forever. I just laugh.

otokx: This basel team is annoying, chelsea ought to have wrapped this game up a long time ago.
Chelsea is throwing away more chances. One goal in Europe is nothing, home or away.

'Ivanomoses'
Hmm. Doesn't sound tasty to Luis "oluwa bingo" Suarez.

Not really. They shook Bayern to the bones last season's champions league.

It is better to walk away from the issue than the marraige. You have been offered an opportunity to develop emotional strengths by divine providence that will be useful to you beyond marraige.

I suggest you close the chapter and reboot your relationship.

Alonso OUT
Too late. Mourinho should not have even bothered to play any defensive minded midfielder in the first place.

Siga: It seems German League is the best ooo....all these Spanish teams cant match dem energy at all...
That is the side effect of overdosing on tiki-taka. All spanish teams have slowed to Barca's passing tempo so they are not able to cope with the faster pace, more direct approach of the Germans. Pity.

Real is officially out. Another coaching error. DiMaria, Essien even Kaka can impact this game and stem the implosion.

I can't see how Madrid can defeat Dortmund. They are just too slow. Khedira must be removed if they are to salvage this tie. Bring in DiMaria now or wait and perish like Tito.

Okay. Thanks to the guys at Supersports that was not a penalty. Reus actually tripped over Varane's foot and outside the box for that matter.

Seen enough so far to feel that I can't see how Madrid will beat this Dortmund side. It will take something more than special. Khedira must leave that position first. He's no match at all.
Politics › Re: Foreign Consortium To Invest $100 BILLION In Nigeria by Reference(m): 8:08pm On Apr 24, 2013
They should look away from oil and gas sector and concentrate on the other areas that they are interested in. The oil and gas infrastructure in Nigeria does not need too much attention. It is satisfactorily developed and is even at par with world standards (I think). What will benefit the Nigerian economy the most would be power generation and fast speed trains.
Do you want me to laugh or what. Thought we were looking to building refineries, thought we were didn't have sufficient gas getting to our power plants, thought militants and pirates not technology is guarding our pipelines... Should I go on. Nigeria requires investment everywhere.

I don't think the regulators or whoever approves of these things will take kindly to the language and context of this advert as it affects the sensibilities of Nigerians. Doesn't portray us in particularly good light. I think its too crude to be real and coming from a foreign owned national teleco, no..... or i would be very surprised and disappointed.

Ha, ha. No chance. Bring those chaps in and they'd get lost in our jungle.

IOMN: I cannot possibly understand why in the world solar energy has not been adopted. It absolutely baffles me. It seems like a complete no brainer. It would especially solve the rural access issue. The process is not as intricate as installing electrical power lines either. I think solar is roughly almost 90 percent cheaper to install. I am getting angrier just thinking about it angry. I think the only reason why there is not a widespread adoption is probably because the profit margins are considerably smaller.
Are you talking about micro or macro generation scales because the only advatage solar power has is scale (you can generate any amount of power you wish). The downsides are just too many. If it was that attractive carbon-fuels, nuclear and other renewables will have gone extinct by now.
Politics › Re: Tinubu, Others Have Committed Political Suicide - Okupe by Reference(m): 9:43am On Apr 24, 2013
I hope the merger succeeds but I sure am not supporting replacing one dominant political grouping with another. Both the PDP and APC should focus on policies and people rather than personalities. They should engage each other with a view to improving governance rather than seeking and hoping for the demise of the other.

This is how I distinguish those who have shady personal paraochial interests from those whose truly love this country, on both sides of the argument.

We want to see competition not conflict. Both parties should stop viewing the people as spoils of war. I hope you party generals and commanders hear this loud and clear.

They don't like David Villa. He's not one of the establishment guys. Even his mates feel he just came to Barca to share their glory. Just like they did to Eto'o and Zlatan. They don't take kindly to 'foreigners' trying to outshine them.
