ghostofsparta: My black brother may the Irunmoles bless you for your sound response. I don't know why our dudu people are readily inclined to always condemned anything ancestrally theirs as inferior and unscientific. One wonders why black Africans are nowhere today except neo-slaves to the rest or the world. Colonial mental slavery is more devastating than physical enslavement, if not I wonder why does the black man still hold on to rhe belief that their first parent is Adam & Eve, anything black is bad while white is God and good. They still think of their native science (Juju) as satanic and demonic just as the EuroArab slave masters defined it to be. Pagan Korea, China, Japan are adapting their nativity(pseudo-juju) to modern science since 40s while many hypocritical religionists are secretly applying the negative aspect of ours for their selfish interest and enriching themselves. Decades ago every one used to consume foreign alcohol while we enrich the foreigner's pockets at the detriment of ours fading into obscurity due to some useless laws, thank the gods for Taiye Solarin (an A'theist) whose brave act put an end to that silly law. Imagine today, our women and ladies unknowingly keep killing their male folks with too much of foreign Magi and Ajinamoto, and they are told what about our native equivalent they'll response with statement that mildly condemns the same Iru and Ogiri what their fore-fathers was ingesting to work the New World and begat them.Reasonable people are not condemning these products and practices. The problem lies with standardization. When you want to sell to the public beyond the scope of origin you must subject those products and practices to the level of scrutiny of the recepients. In those days with a lower level of literacy certain things could be taken for granted, not now. I will liken it to the automibile industry in the seventies. The Japanese designed wonderful cars but the moment they were placed on the international market various countries demanded changes to suit their local peculiarities so today you have tropicalised cars, US specs, European specs, etc. The makers of these local drugs should realise that people will always be wary of things they cannot get their heads around. You can't really blame them. What is wrong in standardization. What is wrong in innovation - packaging, labelling, instructions. What uis wrong in scientific testing - proving. If ordinary water can be bottled why can't drugs. Even the Chinese and Indians have gone a long way in standardization and innovation of their local drugs. I have seen a number of capsules, powders and suspensions of Chinese oirigin containing all sorts of exotic ingridients some unmentionable here but are NAFDAC approved. Please, stakeholders in that industry should not blame doubters. The proof in the food and drug industry never lies with the general public. Life is too precious to toy with. And our organs are rare to find and difficult to replace. |
And how old is this man again cos surely there has to be an age of circumspection. |
Congrats. Wish them the best. |
That's why we say real christianity is not a religion. It is faith. 'He that cometh to God MUST BELIEVE'. God was once around man but because of sin distanced himself but not before He did all he HUMANLY could to cleanse man and the earth of sin. Thank God I am living in the era of grace where I don't have to face God but stay alive and thrive because of the grace Jesus procured for me. You wanna see God, I think not. Every christian on earth is a repair work in progress, some like this atheist are abandoned projects but he can return. For me, until Jesus Christ, the Word of God is through with me, am not ready to face God. I am satisfied with my faith in Him. And - thank Him for Jesus. Face God?? Hmm. Not him who cannot stand sin. Yes. God can and will punish sinners. His wrath has and will never change. The only way a man in this world will escape his wrath is by the advocacy of Jesus. God has and will never change. |
Chai. That's very.... Incisive. Baba in their good books? No kwament. |
OBj was president and it was mayhem in Ogun politics and tough battles in the south-west in general. Now its GEJ's turn. This I predicted just over two years ago that the overriding benefit in having the presidency from a particular zone is that it raises the temperature of political awareness which translates to good governance down the line. That is my hope for the Niger-Delta. That from the ashes of these struggles will rise quality people to bring the dividends of democracy. It has started. For all his flaws Dickson is a lot better than the past Bayelsa governor and more to come. Rivers people will find a better man than Amaechi to handle affairs. Whatever has distracted him and led him into a squabble with the Presidency will benefit democracy. It is the paddy paddy states that are the most backward in Nigeria. Abia learn from Imo and Anambra and put that man's feet to the fire. |
oloriooko: this is a repeat of last election, buhari has come back for 2nd leg.Hmm. An interesting thought. Indeed what if he wins and some SS big shot swears to make the country ungovernable and MEND takes the cue. Were really living in interesting times this democracy or whatever this is called - government of the threatened, by the threatened for the threatened. |
Lilimax: I quite agree with you. Fertilizer itself is a bomb due to the chemical contents: Nitrogen, Potassium and Sodium. Little wonder the Boko Haram have access to making IED in the North. Most fertilizers mean't for farming in the North are being diverted to making local made bombs used by boko Harams. The federal Gov't should regulate the distribution of fertilizers over there.Na so. Hokay, no petelaiza no pood por yu. |
Inept attention? Kai my broda, big grammar no be by force nau
Ha, ha. Evry, evry dey here oh. |
Pukkah: What/Who is stopping them or any other perso from being arrested? Who is supposed to arrest them? And those who kill should be 'amnestied'. See how this sounds ridiculous. |
Bobbysworld28: @sincere9gerian,My dear I don't even support the paper the document will be printed on but the truth of the matter is: ever since the civil war Nigeria has been held together not by ideals but by compromises. The giving of appointments, contracts, the location of industries, services, the creation of states, local authorities, heck the very nature of the so called federal character is heaped on compromise or 'amnesty'. This is the root if our problems. Its the structure of our corporate entity that matters. This us what Boko was created to redress. |
alnaijiri: Unfortunately, even an amnesty like the one offered to the Niger delta militants will do little good here up North. The grievances of the North for complete autonomy and Sharia governance and jurisprudence, and freedom from Southern economic dominance will not be heard in this amnesty. The amnesty may be a political ploy with short term benefits, but it will not guarantee long-term stability in the North.Of course its just to buy Mr. President time. Once his term is over the roof can cave in for all he cares. Look, the future well-being of this country and its people doesn't reside in politicians but in the laps of the very stakeholders, the people. If we do nothing, at best nothing will happen. |
"Unexplained increases in imports"? With Nigeria becoming the hottest destination for champagne, Porsche's and G550's? Haba Madam. |
Morayo747: Please if you not know the genesis or an argument stop jumping in. This guy out of the blues started insulting me just for expressing my opinion. Telling I'm posing in front of people's cars and whats not. Its called freedom of speech. I'm entitled to my own opinion and because you do not agree does not mean you should insult me. You do not know me from nowhere. But an insult is also an opinion or is it not. |
dulaman: you see am?Hmm. |
Chai. Even the cops are ace con men. Nigeria. Where will a sane man stand to empty this sewer without soiling his shoes. Country chock ablock with blackened kettles and pots. |
legendarysegzi: i love this.no matter hw dull the light is ,u can make it shine with God by ur side.just be obedient! This is the key. Just be obedient to Jesus Christ in the Spirit of God and all will be well. The task of finding pasture belongs to the shepherd. For the sheep to survive and thrive all they need is to follow. Who are we listening to today? |
PapaBrowne: The man has two legs, two hands and one head. Do you have half head or one leg and hand??Abi oh. Next thing is why can't government reduce poverty, why can't government provide petrol, why is kerosine scarce what is government doing. As if Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil and Chevron belong to government. These companies are owned by bloody civilians like you and I who see a great opportunity amongst lazy people and while they are wailing steals their candy. Poverty is not the weight of your wallet but what shade of grey is the matter in one's coconut head. |
Dayo, what's your view on Bayern's chances. There's no better time to play Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. |
Ha, ha Plat the flat. As predictable as the summer rains. All that remains is a draw for the referees. First pick out of hat after the bunny is Howard Webb for SF 1. Second and equally notorious is..... |
aurenflani: You're wrong there. The north gave power to the south and ensured the south keeps it. It's all politics. The north aren't capacited nor wanted to take it back by fire by force. The north's interest is still being served my friend. Its so easy to fall for that bait. Hard to resist a response. One can understand. It hurts. |
Too bad considering the exceptionally hostile tropical hot and humid weather at this period of the year. You can imagine power going off during for weeks during a typical northern hemisphere winter. PHCN is aware of all these and still scheduled maintenance for this period. That's why government must handover to the private sector yesterday. Considering the weather and peak power demand this will be like Walmart or Harrods closing down for renovation during the Christmas season. Just doesn't make sense. |
The reaction of the west particularly the dominant party in that region will be a true test of its much vaunted democratic credentials. Either take it like the PDP (with a shrug and then secretly unleash hell) or explode in unimaginable fury and hopefully not, violence as we've seen in parts of the north. Please be sportsmen and take in equal measure as you give and show good leadership, maturity and political sagacity as you claim. |
CFCfan: I see am.Das why their tall defenders are always injured. Today iz pap puyol, tommorrow is for Busquets, then is Pique. No help in defending aerial balls. Whenever there is a corner and Barca goes to defend, Pique will stand like teacher in nursery school. You won't see any other head, all short, short guys. Bayern go float ball tire. And you know Germans and connecting crosses. |
CFCfan: WickedNo its true oh. I understand Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Tello, Jordi Alba and Dani (Elf)es stand at an average of four foot six. Didn't you see Zlatan leaning on Dani during a corner kick as if he was writing a cheque at on a GTB bank counter. |
CFCfan: Bayern Munich will face Barcelona in the semifinal. Not certain. If true then its the end of the road for snow white and the seven dwarfs. |
Zlatan Ibrahimovich is a horse. . . ![]() He was nowhere to be found in the dying minutes when PSG almost had it in the bag. Overrated player!!!
Haba MamG. They tried nau. They didn't lose to Barca over two legs. Eliminating Barca is just too much to ask such a new squad. As for Ibra, he's nothing but an enigma. He has his days. Not just today. |
So, so, so. We're set for a Spain - Germany one two shoot-out. May the better league win. Bayern came within whiskers last season. Something tells me they might just go all the way. Congrats to all semi-finalists. They represent the best of euro soccer for now. Whither EPL teams. Once upon a time there were three EPL teams at this stage. Yeah. Once upon a time in Mexico. |
With this development I hope England doesn't lose one of its automatic berths in the UCL preliminary stage to Germany. Right now England has a maximum of four slots against Germany's three. Or does Europa Cup points count. |
CFCfan: Lol. I just stated a fact. I didn't intend to bring up a Mourinho-Guardiola rivalry. Can't people just enjoy football for what it is rather than all the hatred. You can feel his pent up anger like someone has robbed him. People should realise that this is sports, a never ending drama. |
CFCfan: That was the first loss that Mourinho has suffered in a UCL quarter-final match.Madrid loves to walk on egg shells. If they did that with any other team in the quarters, Jose will have booked an early summer. |
Good round, lots of goals and a great day for the neutrals. Lets hope tomorrow proves just as exciting and whether Gigi is indeed a pensioner or otherwise. |
