Promos will continue as long as the perception amongst these multinationals and their local collaborators remain that the average Nigerian is dying to get rich at an instant without offering commensurate effort, skill or risk.

And why is it an aircraft. Of course, that's the fad in a country crumbling under its sky high greed.

And where is the NCC to keep them from assaulting me with spam.

They should clarify things. If this is about racial integration amongst the peoples of northern Nigeria then I would say this is because of the Jos issue and is only about land and power grabbing. If they pretend to say it is all encompasing to all tribes and tongues in Nigeria then they have something serious coming from their people who by and large cannot tolerate others particularly in relation to religion and strong tribal practices. I just cannot see this happening.

Listening to focus Nigeria on this leads me to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with the average Nigerian. Corruption simply cannot be eradicated in Nigeria.

Private sector corruption and of course the banks are neck deep in it.

By the way its live on 'Focus Nigeria'.

Agiliti: do you even know what integrity is...the guy was being investigated by the FBI and they found he was cheating with his biographer/reporter who is married with two children. He was a good leader nevertheless but integrity has nothing to do with his resignation
It does because believe me as the Director of the CIA he has enough resources to neutralize all evidences. Integrity simply says 'go rather than resist it, its not worth it.'

Hmmm. I honestly feel things are looking up for Nigeria. This struggle will set precedents as to whether we can take haul our utilities before the courts for services mis-rendered. Its a nice way to usher the former off and welcome the whole new world of private electricity. A pandoras box is about to be opened. We are watching.
Family › Re: Does Your Family Eat Together With Housemaid by Reference(m): 6:19pm On Nov 03, 2012
stagger: Why would maids eat on the dining table? There is a difference between the owners of the house and those who work for the owners of the house.
Quite agree. The problem with most Nigerians is that they do not have defined relationships and that's because they hate taking responsibility. They rather go for adhoc arrangements where they can get away with almost anything, They want people to work for them but they rather not pay (in cash or kind) hence these kinds of questions arise. Once more I say. What is the difference between your house maid and other domestic servants in terms or rights and obligations. When you can address these you're free.

I'm not too sure Sturridge is a better replacement for Moses, honest.
Family › Re: Does Your Family Eat Together With Housemaid by Reference(m): 4:59pm On Nov 03, 2012
pc guru: ^ incase you haven't noticed house maids, what concerns gateman and driver in the house, your point is totally off.
Because there are several homes that are run very professionally. It depends on one's mindset. Maid doesn't have to be a dirty word. It is a profession. And both the employer and employee know their rights and obligations. A lot of people source their maids from the same agency they get their drivers and security men. Some maids get their wages at the office. There is a bigger, hassle free world out there.

Abbey2sam: They are human beings too, things have changed in recent time, why cant your maid eat together with you and your family on the same table?

See them as a maid today, do you knw where they will be tomorrow?see them as familly
I can't understand why I have to seat and eat with my maid and not invite the driver and gateman in. I just can't understand. I think the basis of engagement and the characters involved matters before assessing any situation.
Family › Re: Does Your Family Eat Together With Housemaid by Reference(m): 4:46pm On Nov 03, 2012
I know where this kind of topic is going. Housemaid as distinct from househelp. The former is a professional working in your house. The answer to this is simple. Will you share the same table with the Board of Directors in your company's canteen (if they ever show up there). Most certainly, no. There will always be class differences.

If it is the informal, from the village kind of arrangement called househelp where there is no job description, no prospects and a great deal of flexibility then you are in a relationship with a great deal of liability that may warrant such human considerations.

dabrake: Alright, time to be sincere, arsenal is not good enough. Santos has been f.u.cked condomlessly, yet, he won't be substituted, wilshere's been trash. despite the yellow, arsene wen-gambler won't get him off unlike red nose fergie and cleverly. Tv5 is nonsense . . . In order not to cry again, I will support chelsea till the season end. Hopefully, wen-gambler go get sense. Before people call me a glory hunter, I've been a gunner since 8. Good riddance to another trophyless(?) season.
He just has to keep a squad for at least two seasons and plays the one he has to the absolute limit. No rest days, no irrelevant cups. The team is seriously disjointed and needs more playing time particularly when you consider that Wenger is not exactly a brilliant tactician.

AjanleKoko: This game should have been 6-0.
Arsenal were totally awful. Not in the game at all.

And you guys need to get rid of that fake Brazilian. He's not a left-back. I don't know what he is, but he is no left-back.
Absolutely, when you consider he shares the same passport as a certain Roberto Carlos.

The reasons why Van Persie left Arsenal are all so evident today. Pity. There goes the League.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal 2 - 1 - On 3rd November 2012 by Reference(m): 1:56pm On Nov 03, 2012
Arsenal is paying the price for not taking the league cup seriously and playing a second string side instead of this side currently playing when it is obvious they are yet to gel as a team. The fact is when you destabilize your team year after year by selling your key players, you must compensate by playing whatever team you have more frequently to gel the new buys properly. United doesn't have this problem. Its the same chassis year in year out. They know each other like shoe and foot.

You guys have covered all the bases. Nothing to more to say. This is just institutional and judicial round tripping. Nothing much will come out of this. When athletes double as referees match fixing is the order of the day. Yet another reason why corruption cannot be eradicated in Nigeria.

You know what I'm talking about. I wouldn't say more. You know they did not play with their top two strikers, top two midfielders and top two defenders. I don't drop names. Check out their squad list.

You guys always say the same thing. I TIRE 4 UNA.[/quote]Its called blow back. Same thing happened to Barcelona late last season. When decisions go your way constantly and the general consensus is that you are unjustly favored, referees will actively seek to avoid that situation and you will lose favour. Even 50:50 decisions will go to your opponents. That's why I never support wrong decisions. Its like a notorious diver. The day he gets upended in the box and the ref turns the other way, don't be surprised.

United is a team without reserve players. The entire squad is capable of performing at the highest level on any given day. Kudos to Sir Alex. He's done well for them. Built a solid unit.
