Koikoi: Choose you whom thou shall serve. Pls, do not criticize the choice of other people for at the end we shall all reap the fruits of the choices we made, good or evil.No sir. Criticism is good if done in maturity and love devoid of mockery and antagonism. Great works of art welcome critics just to make the authors better. Anything covered up with heat outside decays, smells and dies if left covered. If we are left to our devices no one will ever progress. By the way every faith, every church has its critics because we are just humans learning everyday. |
ferhyntorlah: Please leave MFM with their prayer pattern. If that gets them the result they want then fine. No one is forcing anybody to join them. But who is this or who are these wicked. There lies the problem. Until you can identify the target a ton load of ammunition is useless and God is not in the business of target selection for you cos you are a son, a prince, a co-creator. Study more to do less talking. Jesus did for years before starting out. The key is know thy enemy - 'The Art of War'. |
ndcide: I think we should remove sentiments and stop blind criticism. I may not be a member but i use their prayer points. Now below is a typical MFM prayer session. Kindly Point out what you think is wrong with any of these prayers. I'd like to Know. I will not take any blanket criticism backed with ignorance and emotions or shallow understanding of the word of God. Pls kindly point out what you think is wrong with any of these prayer points.Nothing is wrong basically. The problem I have is the term 'EVERY'. That is very presumptive and a path down that lane leads to paranoia and further down dissapointment and self destruction. True and mature Christians have a responsibility to enquire about matters just like David, Daniel, Jesus, Paul and by wisdom handle them. It is said about Jesus, 'He always knew what to do'. I certainly don't want to be led by a commanding officer who tells me to open fire at random or a doctor who tells me to take every pill in the chemist or an automechanic who does touch and go. Why should I be led in presumptive prayers. I always tell people. The real test for a quality church is how much time and attention they give the word in study, teaching and in the practice of the wisdom it contains. Stay with the word - Jesus and who is that demon that can even come near you. |
ProGSM: CBN should take it easy. These guys employ and pay millions of Nigerians. If anything happens to them, Millions will go without food on their table.Hmm. So they employ thousands on loans and hoaxes. My dear, run for ya life. |
All/Most business owe money. The only reason banks even exist is because these businesses/businessmen are there to borrow money so that they can pay interest. The only time this arrangement becomes a problem is if the business/company is unable to or stops servicing the loan. Even the biggest companies in the world owe billions. That's why these companies have assets that can be liquidated in case of a deliquiency. A bank would rather borrow a company that is worth 10 billion, say 1 billion than to give an average guy that is worth 1million, 100,000 naira because they expect to earn more from the business. The only issue i have is when these companies default, and the banks collect bribe rather than liquidating assets. "Gbese" is not a new phenomenom. If you ever dream of becoming "wealthy", you must borrow at some point, whether you like it or not.
Only if your theory worked. |
dj187: i'm sick of people commenting on things in the hope that their comment is 'liked', there are credit bureaus in nigeriaOn the yellow pages you mean. |
Abagworo: I also visited Aba last year and did not see these places. Searched and searched but could not find. Maybe the pictures were taken from some slum settlements within the city. Even on Sahara reporters pictures , I could not find a thing like the pix posted here. I shared some of the pix but someone told me the roads are bad presently. For the benefit of doubt could someone in Aba post a picture taken by him on a major road?Well, I'll be around there not too long. Let's see what's fact and what's fiction. Hmm. |
afam4eva: You're yet to see a descent picture of Aba because the one's you've seen are the only pictures that can paint Aba as it's known to popular wisdom. Of course, we can't compare the senerity of Aba to those of Enugu, Owerri, Uyo or Calabar but it has some decent(average) places just like every other average city. Those pictures are not only astronomical but were taken in the eyes of mischief makers with a camera purchased from hell and produced by satan with materials assembled by his demons. But Afam. What does it take to dig a trench to get those pools of stagnant water moving even if those are the only bad spots... two hours with an excavator. For goodness sake this is Aba, not some backwater town. There must be something else at play. This is sad. |
Wonder if Theo's tenure lasts till 2015 because that will be one long, long wait. Pity. |
GboyegaD: Right answer. How can that be the right answer. How can three accounts be better than two. Very few aircraft have three engines. Two is preferred for obvious reasons. |
Absolutely not. Financial matters are far too complex to be built on such a platform. There are practically no realistic benefits. |
Aphrygian: Seun realy need to start aptitude test for some nairalanders cos some are naturaly brainless.some dont no business men wil hire policemen, soldier e.t.c to be their escort so that they wil not be harrasd at the checkpoint.abi come to tak of it.shey u guys cant decipher simple english ni.HABAOr the goods could be going to brigade commander's house. Anyone could drive a truck. |
aze: I don't Xpect HELLtel to issue an apology. It is normal in a society like ours where NCC/Info ministry executives enjoy fr33 data and voice facilities from the service providers.Na. With the options available no one should be fazed by any operator. I am never unreachable. |
yemmight: Few months ago, it was Glo and I had to switch to Airtel for my BB services. However, in the last three days, Airtel has gone offline and suddenly came up this morning. At least thank your stars you have alternatives. Wish power and petrol had options. Next time never lean too heavily on any network. I have all the lines and feed them lightly. Its more expensive but nothing compared to the loss of a long subscription. Except that I can only do peep shows on Nairaland via Etisalat. Seun, what is going on. Why can't I log in. |
Its difficult but should be given a try. However another perspective that must be considered are our dysfunctional town planning laws and urbanisation schemes that permit the frequent close contact most people have with articulated vehicles. In Lagos, Portharcourt and other cities the distinction between residential, commercial and industrial areas has become non existent. Every house now has a shop or store in front. Petrol stations everwhere even on streets with barely one lane. Factories, markets sited anyhow. These are the things that bring trucks in touch with people. Unfortunately once you sign the CofO and approve use it becomes hard to reverse making the ban the easier option. |
prince FAD: I am yet to understand why is it that it is only nigerian owned airflight company that always run into lots of debt.Air Nigeria bankrupt, arik owning alot of debt.Whereas the foreign operated airflights are doing very well.It is a combination of all your points and a few more. Essentially our airline business models are just wrong. For starters how many tickets will Arik sell to generate a whooping 17 billion. And that's just statutory debt. The cost structure is just wrong. With that sort of debt its just a matter of time they meet at the pub with Jimoh. |
Been studying the Nigerian aviation industry a while and in my opinion it fails in more than a few aspects to be defined as a real business. Nigeria is just not the place to operate an airline and if not that the industry's principal ethos is safety, I won't have bothered to comment. |
snowprince01: Who cares.... As far as am concern nailing a cat to d cross does nt signify anything, except stupidity nd boredom so I can't say they r mocking jesus or any body, besides it wasn't only christ dat was crucified..many people were crucified back in d dayz of christ, countless. So to me those people on dat pix r just kids looking for attention nd the world is actually noticing them.. Nkogheri..Quite frank. To me nailing anything to a cross means nothing. Your God has warned you against upholding objects. Proper Christianity is all about faith not idols. Anyway the cross was an instrument of torture, terror and death. Why should anyone hang on to that or defend it. |
I'm sure they thought this was going to be breakfast at KFC and probably laughed their backsides off as Madrid stuttered yesterday. This team is fast becoming a one man show. Pretty dangerous for a football team. |
brightsparks: Taking off Ramires has really exposed Mikel, couple with d fact dat Lampard is virtually not helping mattersWith the combination of Mikel and Lampard, it is going to be a long, long season for Chelsea. Clearly something has to be done. |
gidjah: Tnk God he has a listening ear, though its a sign of wekness wen a ldr cn nt stand by wt he claims to hv faith in n dying for same, let bros n other ldrs learn to carry d served along wt every policy they brng forth jst as it is done in Europe, Obama had to go public to sell his health bill to d American citizens b4 he succeeded, same shld told of our ldrs too. All d same well don mr Presdnt. And who told you Obama has succeeded in selling the health bill. Opposition still rages and the war is yet won. Let's just say he succeeded in passing it. There's a country mile between approval and acceptance. For example: Son: Dad, I need the keys to the Escalade. Dad: Not by the hairs of my chiny chin. Son: I see. Right. I'll just tell mum what you did last summer. Dad: What the...! That's ridiculous, unacceptable, but I approve. You don't sincerely think for one minute GEJ hasn't counted the cost and is willing to pawn his queen. |
k2039: MY PRESIDENT DOESNT HAVE A MIND OF HIS OWN.Yes and you have never had a change of mind and direction before. Even God Almighty has changed his mind several times and reversed his actions. And that my friend is a key part of leadership. |
maclatunji: It was a government that actually built these pipelines. You're making excuses for one that cannot police what a previous government built. And exactly how do you police a pipeline to prevent this kind of thing. Suggestions? |
The petroleum business is clearly beyond the capabilities of government to run in an efficient and sustainable manner. I think it is time to let go. |
PreciousKome: Everything turn's bounce's back to the governormeny. Why not blame those thieves first.Together we can build a better Nigeria.Lets cast our lots in good directions. Can you imagine that. That's why I just appeal to government to pull out of this oil business. Let Nigerians find petrol where and how they wish. |
No man (woman) alive can do all these, but its worth a try. |
lightheart: So it is safe to assume that the banker had a fore knowledge of the customer's intention to withdraw 5M on the said date?? *just wondering*Perhaps. Could av called ahead to save his time and bump the cheque queue. Or perhaps she's playing bingo. Keep her gang on standby waiting for the fish. What are the chances a teller will cash a cheque of over one mill. on a typical day in Onitsha without secure transport? 1:5, 1:10, 1:100? |
Femsyn: This is what you get when you pay ur employee a paltry sum of 50-70k while s/he handles millions everyday. I'm not justifying her actions, but its really counter productive when the pple who handle cash more are the least paid in banks (of course, excluding drivers, security men & cleaners) Yes oh. Na real COUNTER PRODUCTIVE. I tell you most Nigerians have their pet corruption projects. Its just the other man's own that is worse. The excuse you give for this act goes a long way to show just how far we as a people have fallen. The lady should thank her stars that no one was killed in the operation. If not >> capital. |
I applauded Sanusi when he took a stance on Senators' wages and salaries. However, he can sometimes come across as aloof, and a dictator. A good leader has to be a good listener. If Nigerians are saying that they don't want the N5,000 in circulation, a good Public Servant shouldn't go ahead with it. It shows that you are out of touch. However, I love his passion and his objectivity, because he mostly argues his cases based on facts ( whether you agree with it or not). He is also decisive. You want a leader who is decisive. If he wants to be President, he should listen more, be humble, and be warm towards the people he is serving...
Hard ingridients to mix. Which restaurant serves this. |
ilugunboy: I don't know what it is...but I think something is harming the Core-North....whatever it is, it is much bigger than the issue of Boko-Haram.This perhaps is the one and only benefit of our democratic journey since 1999. No one is taking anyone for granted anymore. You need power, you've gat to work for it. We'll get there. |
highlandre: AIT did similar thing when Dino Melaye was talking. Really, I'm sorry for this country!Same thing here. This is a person who can say about anything in public. Though it should be about the message. Its hard to seperate the messenger. Perhaps a thirty second delay in transmission. Its just hardwork. |
Can't really see what he will have said that hasn't been spoken about in public before. However we must understand that its a delicate matter. You certainly don't want your media outfit to be used as a political boxing ring no matter how liberal you desire to be. Perhaps they could have asked for a copy in advance or worked with Atiku's team a bit closer or voiced him over. Several options available. |
