That was a goal of the highest quality. United has solid players men. |
Na wah oh. Na defenders dey score for Chelsea. |
I say again. Sturridge is piss poor. Only a goal can redeem his performance tonight. |
Mikel is off. Good thinking, good business. |
"It's five and a half years since he last scored". The commentator hammer Mikel. |
Sturridge is piss poor. |
Mavor: Remember the part where Noah grew a vineyard and one evening he got drunk on the wine from that vineyard. He slept naked in his tent as a result of that drunkenness. One of this three sons came in and saw his old man naked and went out to tell the other two laughing about it. The other two walked backwards into their dad's tent holding a blanket and covered their father, shielding their eyes. When Noah woke up, God made it known to him what happened and Noah cursed the son who mocked his unclothedness, cursed him and his descendants.I believe those sons were adults in every sense of the word. You know in those days a man could live well over 500 years and have six or seven generations living in communes all around him. The world was a much smaller place and marriage between relations was a lot more common. That's the reason such was frowned at. However the opposite happens today making it highly pertinent that even more stringent controls over one's exposure to minors is put in place. The world is a much larger and enlightened space that is totally out of the control of the average man. As relating to your kids, its not what they see at home that matters. That's just one part of the jigsaw. The other is what they see and hear outside that completes the picture. You cannot control that so it is important that you keep them at a level of half information or right information until they become adults. Exposure to minors if absolutely unavoidable MUST be accompanied with sound pro-active enlightenment of reproductive health and other peripherals. If you can't do that DONOT entice them. They will ask and the wrong person will tell. |
swoosh: This was an accident and bread winners of many families are hurt- stop saying silly things here. Planes crash even in broad day lightYes, they just crash like that, anyhow and anywhere for no reason. |
This is the summary of all that's wrong in Nigeria and a wake up call to everyone. The aircraft was the most important article to him not even the airport. This our top to bottom development will continue to consume us. It is only in Nigeria a tree grows from its leaves not its roots. Thats why you have mansions for lease without light or water, limousines without roads, gluttony without health-care, now private jets without airports. The dumb guv. never thought it wise to give FAAN/NAMA a hand and instal navigation aids in the airport before purchasing his toy (or should I say school homework apparatus). And when he can't do all this just obey simple rules and regulation. No way. They are above the law. I just pity him... maybe not. Afterall he's just proudly Nigerian. |
Am sure somewhere in Wenger's mind he'd be kicking himself for Arsenal's survival. He simply has no regards for this competition. |

Looks okay. Lucy Liu is back and boy can she kick a.s.s. Also glanced at Bruce Willis latest Die hard instalment. Sure hope it'll be the last. Age is telling. |
Should be Django Unchained. Quentin Tarantino has never failed me. That's why I will wait for Kill Bill III however long it takes. GI Joe: Retaliation sometime next year should be better than the first installment. |
ihebrooke: Bought for safety. Hmmh?Don't mind him. So when he leaves office he returns to danger. These people are so thoughtless. Never circumspect. That's why they have to grow from one level of crime to the next and yet they wonder why people dislike them so much. Just making governance difficult for themselves. |
There are lots of positives and negatives, too numerous to mention on this thread but the overwhelming story is that the government has finally let go. It has no business providing commercial services as that is what most Nigerians call power. Now we have no further convenient scape-goat. If we fail, it is us, not them any longer. |
nitlad: That's not entirely correct. If anything, the KGB and SVR are equally capable of sabotaging and stealing the lead on the West's military capabilities through their ever effective espionage.Kindly update your information. |
nitlad: They wouldn't dare! Even the U.S., NATO and their allies wouldn't venture into mainland Russia. It could probably end the world as we know it.They don't have to fly F-15's into Russia to take out any capabilities there. They have the very best covert ops program in the world and have assasinated russian scientists and sabotaged russian industrial plants before. An open/military style attack is just a statement in the intelligence community that folks in Iran and more importantly the US will understand. |
And the sad thing about these sort of jobs is not only do they physically wear you out, they pay terribly. In Nigeria, you are competing against a large amount of unskilled labor, there are no minimum wages laws, etc. At least in yankee, if I'm breaking my back in construction, I'll probably be earning $30-40k/year doing it. In Nigeria, you won't even make $1000 in a year
The last paragraph is simply not true. The OP is entirely correct. The average Nigerian is lazy both mentally and physically. That accounts for falling standards everywhere, proliferation of God help me churches, the tendency to blame everyone else but one's self and lottery offers that swamp my phone inbox from service providers. Said it time and again. The average Chinese producing some of the world's reknowned and all conquering products has a living standard below the average Nigerian. We are simply dying with our eyes open. |
The actions of the Federal Government are to say the least, base, objectionable, ridiculous and upsetting. When the US congresswoman was shot in the head it was and remained a local matter. She probably lived because of Medicare, the type of intervention that is available to ALL. If foreign medicine is our only hope of survival then you're arrogating into the hands of Mr. President the power of life and death. Then what happens to political opposition, the weak, the poor, and the under-privileged. This is one pandoras box that is best left untouched. |
This is simply not the business of the Federal government. If they go down this path where will it end. A State that can afford the cost and administration of private aviation should have no problem with the consequences whenever they arise. I've heard nothing of the sort in our chequered history of civil aviation mishaps. |
chrisxxx: The handiwork of detractors. Amaechi may buy a jet but not to the tone of the amount mentioned. Secondly it is not his private jet it is still an asset after his exit.Believe me, a new G5 costs 50mill. for the basic chassis, special tastes can easily top that. Except if he ordered a used one and the oldest I saw early this year will still set you back 38mill. |
I can understand his perspective. The reading culture is fast fading. Blogging has assumed the new standard of enlightenment. Education? nah. Who cares. It is what my e-neighbour says that matters. |
Ozonna: Believe it or not, Yorubas are polically more enlightened than the rest of the tribes in nigeria. Look @ the debate, the contestants subjected demselves to the debate. The voters now chose d best candidate by dia own judgement.Quite agree. Staggered elections make for better scrutiny but the irony of it all is that as the quality of electioneering improves the petitions that make for that scenario to happen recedes. |
onatisi: my guy ,lagos will be difficult ,that is the headquaters of acn ,i think other states like osun and oyo should be taken over first, the reason why i dont like acn is due to the fact that only one person is calling the shots ,the problem with pdp is directly opposite everyone was calling the shots and noone wants to bend for the other.how can one man be imposing his candidate on pplSaid it a while ago. The lack of true democracy is eating away the ACN's entrails. It will be massive when that party cracks. It cannot continue to fly the performance flag perpetually. One day someone will rise up and say, 'whatever you do I can do better'. Ask the mafia, Godfathers are there to be put down. Nigeria needs strong institutions not strong men. |
I really don't understand what the continuous hue and cry about this man is. He says he is a preacher of prosperity, never hidden that. He claims to be successful at that, lives the life and attracts many to himself. What is difficult to understand. If he was a successful investment banker and lived the life will we have a problem. Don't our retail bankers dress up and live up lives beyond themselves. Or his prosperity should be showcased in rags and taxi cabs then he will be believed. Those who wear white robes and collars seek to signify what. Do they really live those lives. Or will you be comfortable if your mechanic turned up in a three-piece suit driving a Porsche. He appears to be good at what he does and is successful in it. There I think lies the problem. |
ignis: Are bokoharams trying to go international or wat? They have always been international. Have you ever seen a militant or extremist group without international ties. The toughest ones to tackle always originate in inhospitable, unregulated border areas where they can throw of national authorities. If Cameroon thought BH was a Nigerian problem and chose to pander to them for peace. They should only consider what Khan is doing in Stan. |
Why blame farmers. They don't produce garri. Blame the processors and middlemen. It is they who knows what's happening in town. |
Iaz93: Cook every six months ...so as to economizeThat is relaunch your kitchen every six months or some new way of preserving food for that long in this Nigeria. |
candieangel12: Yeah, you made a correct guess. Too busy to slave over a stove 4 now. Even when I get married, my husband shouldn't expect a home cooked meal every day or week, unless he cooks it 4 himself. I will cook only when I feel like it and have the time and strength to do so.Sure. You don't need the weatherman to forecast what lies ahead. |
These people should stop personalising government, its laws, enforcement and the judiciary if they are not to continue having a hard time. All these 'we' are going after, 'we will not stop, 'this government' potrays the institutions as weak, human and open to coercion. We know corruption will fight back and it will find the weak link. They parade suspects, banter names, appoint high profile lawyers, heap pressure on themselves then nothing. Successful, effective prosecutions and grandstanding never works anywhere in the world. |
Certain low quality bust implants could swell and rupture. The jury's still out on this. |
jpcomrade: What of agbada/babariga?Parachute. That can't be a bad thing on Nigerian airlines. |
afam4eva: Of course. he has to conquer Abia state before moving to other parts of the east. But note that it may not be viable for him to spread to other parts of Abia state except Aba and Umuahia. he may want to spread to owerri, Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka and Enugu instead. It's business for him.It is in his interest to spread fast. That was the only edge MTN had over the other telecos. And as they say, the rest is history. Power is a mass market commodity. |
