I'm yet to see any big deal with this. People should understand that having an offshore account or being in the Panama Papers is not a crime. It is only a problem if you are a politician using the account to hide assets. The last I know, Wale Tinubu is a businessman. I really don't see any smoking gun here. |

WizPrince1: I saw this post on Facebook with the write-up;
“ The next Governor of Delta State is that woman wearing dark sun glass. Because the other guys have all taken their turn.”
From Left; Ex-Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Ex-Governor James Ibori and Current Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
This picture was taken when James Ibori was the Governor of the State. What's your say about this? Caption this photo! No. The next governor is that policeman wearing black uniform a la Alao Akala |

nbright: Will a typical naija babe agree to a 150k wedding? They don't care if he has to borrow, the wedding must be the talk of the town wedding. Most won't even contribute to it. True talk @nbright. This is exactly where many couples get it wrong from the beginning. It should not be surprising when such husbands complain about their wife's spending habit after wedding. They got the foundation of the wedding totally wrong. |

If government didnt do anything, this is the same group of people that will condemn them. They will say the man was not compensated because he is not Hausa/Fulani, muslim or some useless reasons. Look, It is very common everywhere for any organisation to go an extra mile to try to relieve the pains of family that lost their primary bread winner while in service. Please check with many multinationals like Shell, Exxon Mobil etc and see the extent they can go in this type of issues. This family lost the father, the mother and a brother. Please let's be reasonable here.

loffyloffy: my friend. .there is nothing wrong with this salary.. how much do resident doctors in govt employment collect as salaries..i am sure it may not be up to what a 2nd leutanant gets.
the qualification and background needed to get the jobs are lesser than the requirements in many high profile jobs both in public and private sector that earns significantly less than them
what we should be talking about is a contributary life insurance for them, with the government paying a higher share..this should also apply to bankers and other high risk jobs Good point. But can you please enlighten me on what is high risk in banking compared to a soldier. |

InvertedHammer: / A person can be HIV+ for months/years without any visible symptoms. But once it develops into a full blown AIDS, death is inevitable.
Take Jonathan's administration as the incubation period of the virus called corruption. Even though undetected, it was eating away the fabrics of the Nigerian society.
Now Nigeria is suffering the full repercussions of the corruption incubated during Jonathan's administration. You cannot separate today's hardship from the carelessness, wickedness and incompetence of Jonathan just as you cannot separate AIDS from HIV. These things take time to mature. Corruption planted during GEJ's tenure has germinated and you better be ready to taste the bitter fruits when it matures.
$1== N260? Inflation will bite hard by next year. Better tighten your belts. The last cent of my fund in Nigeria has been wired out till things change. I don't trust Nigerian banks one bit in this pending harsh economic climate. Preemptive action is the way to go. Sadly Moneygram is still exchanging at N196.
There you have it. / Very well said, @invertedhammer |

Inspiring Sight Of Boy Taking Sisters To School In Lagos
I just want to share the inspiring sight I saw this morning on Ozumba Mbadiwe road, VI this morning on my way to the office. This boy of about 10 years old is leading his three sisters to the school. The boy had to carry the youngest one on his shoulder all the way. I am aware that the nearest school to this point where I took the picture is about 3km away.
I am so proud of this boy. Such a high sense of responsibility at a very young age. By the way, this is not an isolated occurence in Lagos. Boys like this are indeed the future hope of this nation if we are responsible enough to give them a helping hand.
