Students that would graduate and start looking for paid jobs or the ones that will put what they studied in practice, creating jobs in the process, just as it's in developed countries?? What Nigeria needs is not more universities, it's aggressive industrialisation. In fact, let's even begin with the easiest—agricultural industrialization, which can turn Nigeria into a developed country within 25 years! tctrills:Netherlands of 17m people makes about $79B yearly via agricultural export, that's aside the massive blue-collar millions of jobs provided to the citizens while Nigeria with so-called black gold makes meager $39B - approximately half of it. Do you think if Nigeria has a very organised national mechanised agriculture tens of millions of currently unemployed Nigerian graduates won't be working in those farms as agronomists, electrical and mechanical engineers, accountants, geneticists, animal nutritionists, IT experts, veterinarians, hydrologist, farm nurses and doctors, marine scientists, unlike the current system where the agricultural sector is handled by 90% old men and women using hoes and cutlass and who are majorly illiterates etc?? Even those who did not read agaric-related courses will hop in, because of the avalanche of jobs in the sector. And the prosperity from that sector would then trickle down into other industrial sectors such as steel, shipbuilding, car, electronics manufacturing, etc. This is how countries such as the USA, China, Malaysia became what they are today! |
What a national shame. Imagine a former governor trying to remove an incumbent gov and he didn't even shy away from the fact that he's the one who was truly involved. In 2023 o not 2003. |
Raskimonojendor:As far as the Constitution is concerned, Datti is a Nigerian. If you want to criticise, do so without bringing his ancestry into it. |
So you're assuming he has a single moniker?? You only were unable to decipher his other monikers whilst the main one was banned. Monikers such as Maize247, Monogamy, etc. |
I've always known that this kind of partisan alliance or leaning never ends well, because when you finally want to begin to balance criticism, you'll enter a lot of wahala from the side you'd always supported and spoken favourably about. |
Pierocash:This is why it's a plus to be very versed in international affairs history. SA right from the time of Mandela, has always said that Palestinians are facing a version of the apartheid system they also faced, so they've always had natural affinity with the Palestinians. |
MS2471:The appointments are lopsided towards the Yoruba and the northerners, so why would they complain?? It's the SE and SS who should be complaining. |
Only if everyone in Nigeria earns in dollars. |
Taylor93:Ordinarily, yahoo boys do not have any moral rights to insult any politician, because they are of the same feather. |
Propaganda to tarnish a performing governor all because he didn't support your Obi. |
Impressed by his entrepreneurial dexterity, but uf truly we're giants of Africa, are we not supposed to be firsts in everything or most at least?? So this is actually a personal glory, not something to be seen as a national pride. |
Thundafireseun:Yes, they'll ALL crash in due course. It's food inflation that usually influences all other categories of inflation. |
Thundafireseun:It's not true. Prices of commodities have crashed in Nigeria in the past. In 2017, prices of beans crashed from N700 to around N250; and a whole lot of others, until Covid19 came and they went up the roof. |
I'm not an Ojukwu fan, but he's sort of a hero who didn't stand aloof whilst his kinsmen were being massacred because of the actions of a group of Igbo officers he wasn't a part of. |
The only reason I'm excusing Rufai is the fact that he's Yoruba and not Igbo or SS. So meaning nobody can accuse him of leaning tribally towards Obi. But that's not an excuse to take political side. |
They should add 5 more years to his jail term, unless they've been settled. |
This is the kind of things politicians do to manipulate the brain of unlearned masses. Thank God for the social media; if not a lot of educated people would have also been rejoicing at this kind of news. |
PowerPoint88:You probably have up to 1000 monikers which use to advertise your writing services. It smacks of scam, because I don't how a legit person would have such innumerable number of monikers. And it's not even that you have good grasp of English grammar. So everything sounds fishy. |
I condemn the mal-handling, but the truth is that he played into their hands. Labour declaring strike and protest within 10 days to an election was a partisan political statement intended to weaken the hands of the present governor. |
I think Anambra can be the Lagos State of the SE with the right people in charge. Fortunately, Anambra has been very lucky to have very good-intentioned and competent govs. A little notch here and there and it'll be an economic behemoth. I'm not even talking about just road construction here. I'm talking about how their cities usually look well planned from the ground-level, with high-rise apartment buildings lined up linearly and a road in-between. |
legitnow1:How?? Have you ever seen Chinese or Indian national who's a hustler in Africa?? They come to Africa with their fortune to establish businesses unlike Africans that travel to other countries to make ends meet. |
SyrusdeHansome:The world is ruled on a country by country basis. For a country to be encouraging its citizens to have more children after initially limiting them to just one per family, shows they know they have the resources to cater for any upsurge, unlike Nigeria and Africa as a whole. |
Cruise777:Even if someone took you from a gateman to become a governor overnight, there's a level of control and demands from him that'll eventually make you revolt against him. On the bolded, did Wike use his personal money or is it not the state's money as per Nigerian politicians' devilry?? |
mrvitalis:I hope you know that hate kills silently. So you want to deny the wonders Rochas did just because he decamped to the APC whom you love to hate?? |
Bede2u:He's actually Igbo. He's just doing that to make people think he's Yoruba. I know his other moniker he does the same thing with. |
Trump thought that since he was lucky to have appointed 3 of the 9 Justices in the US Supreme Court, all the 3 would do him a favour to vote to overturn the election, but not even 1 of the 5 conservative Justices including the 3 he personally nominated voted in his favour, because his case was largely based on propaganda. That shows that in an ideal situation where the probability of judicial corruption is nearly impossible, there's nothing wrong with it removing a president. |
Atiku knows it was Obi that destroyed his chances in February, but then that's politics. Neither he nor Obi won the election. |
If Amaechi had won the election, Atiku and Obi would have also taken him to the tribunals and they'd have also unearthed a lot of his secrets we didn't know and the economy wouldn't have magically improved within 5 months just because he won. |
So very ashamed on the behalf of this guy. What a shame. |
Someone who has been there for less than 2 month?? What kind of magic do you want him to perform?? |
MadamExcellency:Where did you get these fake figures from?? |
