Politics › Re: Igbo Woman Becomes Health Minister In Canada by RenaissanceGuy:
So when is an Anambra man going to be allowed to become a mayor in Abia, let alone a Kenyan becoming a commissioner in the SE??
We celebrate it when Nigerians take up political positions in other countries, but we would never allow people from other states to enjoy same privileges, let alone people from other countries. That smacks of low self-esteem.
Politics › Re: Aba Is The First City In Nigeria To Have A Mayor In Modern Times by RenaissanceGuy: 8:07pm On Oct 19, 2023
horsepower102:
Currently it’s an appointed position but Abia state can modify their state constitution to accommodate a Mayoral position as an elected office. Then they can structure the revenue sharing formula so that the Mayor can have the resources to administer the city.

As for your initial question, I have no idea how it relates to the topic.
State constitution gringrin in Nigeria. This ignorance is too loud please.
Politics › Re: Olubunmi Tunji Ojo: FG To Release 4,000 Prisoners Over Congestion by RenaissanceGuy:
This is a very good initiative. There are thousands of people who have spent 20 years in jail who do not have business spending more than 2 years because their offences are very petty. But unfortunately, they're endlessly awaiting trial for decades.
Politics › Re: Igbo First Locally Made Aeroplane To Be Built by RenaissanceGuy: 1:43pm On Oct 18, 2023
Lol. He said it would be an airline. grin Who told you that a company manufacturing aircraft automatically makes it a must for the company to also float an airline??
Politics › Re: Tinubu And The Inventions Of Propaganda By Fredrick Nwabufo by RenaissanceGuy: 4:22pm On Oct 11, 2023
In the case of President Bola Tinubu, his vilifiers have always sought, but fruitlessly so, to poison public perception against him. They invent ahistorical accounts, contort records, fabricate stories, and think up utter ridiculousness.
I only had to scan through for me to know that the man wrote in the defence of Tinubu, but most commenters can't decode that.
Politics › Re: How We Arrested Two Internet Fraudsters In Skales’ House – EFCC by RenaissanceGuy: 3:58pm On Oct 10, 2023
EFCC and DSS need to be disbanded and their headquarters demolished for always denying and later confirming. They're a source of shame to Nigeria.
Celebrities › Re: Mohbad: Naira Marley And Sam Larry At Yaba Magistrate Court by RenaissanceGuy: 7:14pm On Oct 04, 2023
Do politicians and celebrities get convicted in Nigeria? If R Kelly was a Nigerian, would he be in jail today??
Politics › Re: Sad News: UAE Delegation Arrives In Nigeria To Finalize Lifting Visa Ban by RenaissanceGuy: 8:03pm On Oct 03, 2023
What's UAE visa going to add to Nigeria's economy, if not for our polithiefcians to go waste our scarce forex gallivanting over there??

Most people don't know that CSU are not releasing the documents to the public, but Atikus lawyers. So Atiku can choose to either release it to the public or keep everyone guessing grin.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Should Start Writing Handover Speech To Atiku by RenaissanceGuy: 9:26am On Oct 02, 2023
Princeoflagos with yet another of his monikers. He uses some to praise and support Obi, some others to insult Obi and some others to support Atiku. If you're not the most psychologically disturbed Nairalander, I wonder who it's.
Politics › Re: Check Out College Of Nursing Built By Mission In Onitsha, Anambra State (photos) by RenaissanceGuy: 9:17pm On Oct 01, 2023
Mindlog:
Let me give you an example, between 2011 and 2015, about 9,000 indigenes of Imo State got admitted to study Medicine in various Nigerian universities and let assume 80% of them made it to the finish line and graduated, that is 7,200 medical doctors......are they all supposed to be working in Imo State?

Better working conditions is a magnate, it attracts. I work in a children healthcare facility here in Cambridge and within the neurodevelopmental assessment unit and no matter how patriotic I am, I don't desire to work in Nigeria at least for some years to come.

Let healthcare professionals continue to be the "oil" South East exports and collects their foreign exchange through remittance back home.
Well, their having to go outside of Nigeria to work is a testament that Nigeria is not what it ought to be. That's my point. We must see immigration out of Nigeria as what it's — a shame that one has to leave his/her own country for another man's country to be assured of a good life.
Politics › Re: Check Out College Of Nursing Built By Mission In Onitsha, Anambra State (photos) by RenaissanceGuy: 8:54pm On Oct 01, 2023
Mindlog:
Human capital development is the way to go and when the graduands from this College find themselves working in different parts of the world, it is a plus for their families, villages and South East as a whole.
Christian missions has really been an enabler of human capital development in Igbo land
Why should they not work in the state where they acquired the education? Do Americans or Canadian nurses and doctors come to work in Nigeria after studying in their own countries??
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Listed Things That Ought To Make You Proud As A Nigerian by RenaissanceGuy: 3:34pm On Oct 01, 2023
Only if a bag of rice was still still selling for less than ₦10K instead of the current ₦38K+. Only if a liter of vegetable oil was still selling for ₦400 instead of the ₦2000 it's selling for now. These were the prices pre-2015 not even 30 years ago or thereabouts.

To really comprehend how bad APC, especially Buhari, has taken us into the ditch, a sachet of water sold for ₦5 (or N50 per bag) for more than 15 years, but when APC came, its price jumped to N10 within months and then N20 (or N250 per bag), which is still its current price. That's 500%!

14 Nation projected to be the world's 3rd most populous nation after India and China by 2050, making her a veritable investment magnet for all the world's companies, and an AFRICAN SUPERPOWER.
LOL. What a shame; keep on celebrating having the largest population whilst 90% of that population live in squalor and poverty. There are a lot of countries that are less than 20m in population, but Nigeria cannot say 'pem' when they cough. In fact, many of them even send aids to Nigeria which Nigeria shamelessly collect. In Africa, high population = high poverty...at least for now.

Nairaland will easily give your details to Security agents its no hidden secret
Nairaland doesn't have to do that. DSS has communication systems that can trace IP address, geolocation and all of the rest. I think they acquired it years ago from an Israeli company.

More reason we keep them far away from Aso Rock

The last time Obasanjo zoned Senate President to them they impeached themselves more than 3 times, wabara, ken Nnamani, Pius anyim, okadigbo

Moh247, you've started using this new moniker to stoke ethnic hate and profiling. Just don't start calling the mods when that guy begins to troll and harass you.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Is 4th Cheapest Country To Live In The World - World Of Statistics by RenaissanceGuy:
Very true, but that ended in 2015. Prices of foodstuff which are used as indices to measure cost of living have shot up by as much as 500% since 2015.
Splitmind:
Lies! You just want to spoil president Buhari's name with your lies.
Let me school you since your signature says you're a proud Buhari supporter. A bag of rice was selling for around N9,000 in 2015. It's now over N40,000. Is that not around 500%?? A pack of seasoning was selling for N250; it's now at least N800+. Is that not around 400%??
Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia Places Hofmanski Piotr Jozef On Most Wanted List by RenaissanceGuy:
US did a similar thing about two years ago. Russia and the US knowing that they're bound to violate ICC statutes decided not to be members of the ICC. A shame for US, a so-called champion of human rights.

What is wrongdoing in reviews?
It is her opinion and she is entitled to it. She didn't say it killed anyone. She said it has too much sugar and it is left for her to prove it does.
She later commented that they should tell the manufacturer to stop killing people with their products (see the screenshots). That was obviously where she went overboard and fell into their trap.

It's like saying armed robbery is a crime but if the suspect can give a very pitiable and sympathetic reason why he endulged in it, he should be pardoned.
Politics › Re: Abia Labour Party Members Accuse Each Other Of Selling FG Palliatives by RenaissanceGuy: 8:06pm On Sep 23, 2023
It was never meant for any poor masses. It was for politicians to share to their grassroots supporters, like it happens in every state. That's the situation of Nigeria today.
Politics › Re: The Hypocrisy Of Omojuwa In Pictures. by RenaissanceGuy:
The West are adept at massaging African leaders' ego. They do it perfectly that you'll hardly suspect there's an undertone. If Obi had won, same thing would have happened, just the same way they did for Buhari.

It depends on the angle from where you look at it. Some people saw me as a troll but I am not. My sin is that I am pro-Tinubu and anti-Obi. They attack me and I attack them. They see me as a troll and vice versa.
That means you don't know what trolling means or you're probably new to NL. The same thing helinu;es was complaining about the other day was what the guy suffered for many years. A troll was following him with thousands of monikers created with bots, cancelling all his posts and calling him a vulture griller, etc. Have you been doing any of these to anyone??

No big deal. Someone who use nobody as his moniker is like that too.
LOL. A nobody is a moniker that has been deactivated. It's not a specific person.

BTW that's actually good. I'm no fan of his, but the amount of trolling and insults that guy has received was enough to send him to a psychiatric home. That infamous canceller wanted to ruin him. Seun did well.
