Validated:More than a billion dollars used in setting up railway projects across the country, many of whom are still ongoing. BTW how about this your 'vision' where you "saw" Atiku and Obi going for a rerun??: https://www.nairaland.com/7828866/pept-verdict-saw-vision |
Looks like she wasn't pregnant when she wedded, contrary to many people alluding to that, since she gave birth just last week. |
IconicR:Just because he died in a very pitiable way?? Yar'Adua was also an ethnic irredentist just like Buhari that people were constantly complaining of how he was northernizing Nigeria. Nigerians seem to have short memory. Or maybe we define being good as gentleness, whereas it should be measured by administrative capabilities and intelligence. |
yarimo:It's not, so why are you guys using bots to auto-like it in order to project wider opinion appeal and acceptance?? |
We can't even get proper assessment of comments any more, because of fake likes generated by bots. Imagine someone would just use an emoji to book a space and their bots will give him 96 likes. He could later come back to modify the comment and it'd seem like he made so much sense that Nairalanders liked his post that much. Seun acknowledged this last year and said he had worked to deactivate those fake likes, but it appears they're back with more vigour. |
The dollars we've spent on these refineries, especially during Jonathan's tenure where NTA was carrying news of FG approves so and so millions of dollars for turnaround maintenance of refineries, 'almost every day', should have enabled us to build New York City from the scratch. BTW, I hope the so-called Italian repairers signed an undertaking that the refineries would not pack up until at least a specified number of years. |
BoldBrainz:Don't mind him. Mosquito is a plant. |
helinues:My bad; and I was thinking you are reasonable. No wonder that canceler trolls you with reckless abandon. |
helinues:We all know our govt is so daft that they will not tell them to spread the investment in different states, like it happens in civilised countries. So, everything will be in Lagos. More traffic jams, springing up of slums and high accommodation cost. |
You mean they've pledged to invest $14B in Lagos, so that hundreds of thousands more people can invade Lagos looking for job, further leading to neck-breaking traffics where Lagosians spend an average of 8 hours on the traffic everyday. Any country where 90% of foreign investment, industry, development and economic activities are concentrated in a single city doesn't deserve to be called a country in the 21st century. |
iammo:And now that the tribunal says APC won the election as announced by INEC, the Supreme Court can simply say the judgement wasn't rightly delivered and that the right judgement should be that Shettima should be disqualified and Tinubu should freshly nominate a VP to the NASS or that Atiku should be sworn in, or there should be a fresh election, etc. |
iammo:What are you saying sef?? Looks like you're just springing up words without paying attention to their actual meaning. 🙄 The supreme court can take whatever decision it sees fit including sacking a president or ordering a rerun. |
This was what everyone was expecting them to do instead of the ₦200B they collected from the govt as a startup capital sort of. They should be a publicly traded company as other national oil companies around the world operate as. |
SalamRushdie:Princeoflagos, why not stay one place?? Using 90% of your monikers to support Obi and the remaining to do the opposite. Is that normal to you?? |
plaindealer:LOL. And you think your opinion is superior because you're able to call someone else's elementary?? I still stand by my earlier statement that Africa is chasing futility. South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore that were on the same economic level with us in the 1960s have left us behind through homegrown economic planning, research and introspection, while we continue to go on a wild goose chase thinking that our salvation is in Asia, Europe and America. plaindealer:Stop deceiving yourself by twisting my words. I never said we should reject investment. My stance is condemnation of Africas' dogged belief that every Africa can only become prosperous when people from other countries come to establish industries in Africa, as if that was how UK, US, Australia, France built prosperity for their citizens. Whatever subtle insults you're throwing at me goes back to you a million fold, because I don't do gutter exchange. |
Very un-dignifying and shameful. The woman was a PDP judge, so now that her "son" Wike is with APC, she also wants to stylishly align with APC. |
plaindealer:I was not referring to the literal gold buried under the ground. We've not been able to engage in massive industrial scale agricultural revolution powered by the FG but anchored by the private sector, but we keep chasing after foreigners to come and establish industries in Nigeria. It's futility. FDI is not the answer to Africans' poverty. China pulled itself out of poverty lifting hundred of millions out of poverty through agriculture, not cutlass and hoe type practiced in Nigeria! |
Lol. African countries and their futile chase after so-called FDI. Going to look for gold that's at your back yard. |
Obi supporters have constantly subjected the tribunal members to online harassment, threats, and all sort of manipulations, and it'd be seen as great weakness and capitulation if the tribunal by any stretch make a judgement that could have a semblance of favoring Obi's Petition. |
Let's suppose this: Three children X, Y, Z around the age of 12, bring a case to you an adult, to settle. Other of their playmates also were gathered around. While you are trying to settle the misunderstanding, some of the bystander children who are friends to X are busy raising dust and threatening that their friend X must get justice, because he's innocent. That your integrity is at stake o. And that if X doesn't win the case it'd mean that you are partial or have been bribed. Question: In all honesty, what will you do considering that if you pronounce a judgement favoring X, children Y and Z would think that it was because X's supporters psychologically or emotionally blackmailed you?? |
tianshie:Fortunately I'm unable to say more than that. |
Alert well received ![]() because there's absolutely no sane reason why they'd back down from a mere 2-day strike. |
The only planned city in Nigeria is Abuja. It even degenerated into a Lagos-like eyesore until El Rufai came to sanitise it within 2003-2007. Lagos is just a massive super slum consisting of eye-catching high-rise buildings, but with zero street planning, building alignment and the likes. |
It should be that Yusuf Sabiu, Buhari's former aide and nephew, a former recharge card printer who became wealthy to the point of investing $100m into a startup airline: https://gazettengr.com/exclusive-buhari-quietly-appoints-nephew-tunde-sabiu-as-nia-director/ |
Acidosis:It still doesn't matter. You failed to tell us how Nigerian preachers going to developed countries to preach would make us to become developed too. Or is it the few thousands of $ they receive as honorarium they'll use to develop Nigeria?? |
Acidosis:So all of these will then translate into Nigeria becoming developed like US, Russia, China, Singapore or Australia whereas each of these countries planned themselves into prosperity through large scale manufacturing, research and govt investment in the private sector?? |
Acidosis:Name one country that became wealthy through religious colonialism like you adduced, or by conducting crusades in other people's countries. |
Acidosis:This is a very gullible statement. What did America and the rest of the world take from you? We still have our billions of barrel of crude oil buried underneath which we've been exploring since the 1950s but haven't been able to use to create prosperity for ourselves. We still have billions of tonnes of solid mineral which we haven't been able to harness to lift scores of millions out of poverty like other countries did. So stop making excuses and stop trying to make it look like any country became prosperous due to religion. If it is, the citizens of China will be allover Africa washing plates in our restaurants. You can be the most spiritual person and also very poor, if you do not do what you have to do. |
Very good. Looks like the palliative will last for 8 months. Imagine sharing food to people because you increased fuel prices. |
tasceige:I suppose you're referring to my signature, but I can't say more than that. |
Error401:It's not the size of a city or country that determines whether it can be well-planned or not. Russia is at least 11 times the size of Nigeria; Canada is about 10 times the size of Nigeria, but they make sure that wherever people are living are well-planned, instead of allowing people to scatter buildings anyhow they like or build mud houses or use rusty roofs. |

Just like Buhari, who went to China for FDI but ended up borrowing $Trillions from Chins. I hope the Bala blu bulaga is not on the same audio voyage to india?
