Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has won thefirst PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award of the 2018-19 Premier League season.

The Reds No.10 scored three goals in three games during August to help his team on their way to a 100 per cent start to the campaign so far.And Mane was the overwhelming winner in a poll of fans across the country for the PFA accolade for last month, taking 58 per cent of the votes.

He finished ahead of Cardiff City’s Neil Etheridge and Watford’s Roberto Pereyra, as well as Sergio Aguero (Manchester City),Lucas Moura (Tottenham Hotspur) and Benjamin Mendy (City).

Sadio Mane was one of six in contention for the PFA Player of the Month for August.

Nigerian blogger, who is pregnant, Linda Ikeji has revealed that manager Theo Ukpaa has left her organization.
According to Linda, Theo who got marred days ago contract has been terminated after a lady accused him of taking advantage of her while she was under age.
Linda Ikeji statement reads:

I personally wanted to let everyone know that Theo Ukpaa, who was Head of Programmes at Linda Ikeji TV is no longer a staff of the company. His job with my company was terminated on Monday August 27th just a day after I read the heartbreaking story of Emilia Samuel.

Ronaldo Nazario, commonly known as R9, O Fenomeno or just ‘Ronaldo’ is well known for both his club and country career; having played for the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan – whilst also featuring 98 times for the Brazilian national team.

Now, Ronaldo is taking things to the next level, spending around a reported €30 million to become the majority shareholder of La Liga club Real Valladolid.

The two-time Ballon d’Or winner, who scored over 350 career goals in an illustrious career at the highest level, has been linked with a bid for the Blanquivioletas for a few months now.

When the rumours first came about at the back-end of last season, Valladolid were occupying sixth place in the Segunda division and hoping to return to the big-time via the play-offs.

And they did just that, finishing fifth in the league but beating both Sporting Gijon and Numancia to take the third promotion spot.

But it still looks as though there will be a change of ownership at the club, with Cadena Ser saying R9 is closing in on the purchase.

Ronaldo would become the president of the Spanish club, with current president Carlos Suarez remaining on as CEO.

Neymar was given a hero’s welcome as the now-Paris Saint-Germain star headed back to Barcelona to see his old team-mates.

The Brazilian star, 26, took some time away from his PSG duties as he met up with Luis Suarez, Rafinha, Ivan Rakitic and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Neymar left the Nou Camp last summer in a world-record £198million deal, but is clearly still loved by his former team-mates.

Chelsea kept up their 100 per cent record under Maurizio Sarri with a 2-1 win at Newcastle on Sunday , when all of the incidents were saved for the end.


A controversial penalty scored by Eden Hazard gave the Blues the lead in the final quarter of an hour on Tyneside, before Joselu's header levelled matters soon after.

The Italian has often been seen smoking cigarettes on the side of the pitch in the past, but anti-smoking laws now prevent him from lighting up in public places.

BOW Wow has revealed that he "lost my son this year" as he appeared to suggest his girlfriend has suffered a miscarriage.


The American rapper, 31, shared the devastating news that he and partner Kiyomi Leslie had lost a baby boy earlier this year.


In a heartbreaking post on Twitter, the child star - whose real name is Shad Gregory Moss - wrote: "Don't really care. The media crucifies me. I'm the most hated. Every girl I gave my heart to it failed.


"My dad is a alcoholic and is now sick. I lost my son this year.

La Liga ’s decision to play one match in the United States has caused an almighty stir in the football world.


It’s an unprecedented step and, unsurprisingly, many people aren’t too happy about it.


The captains of the 20 Spanish clubs have already threatened to strike if the plan goes ahead.


However, it seems as though La Liga aren’t backing out of their decision.


And, according to Spanish programme Cadena SER, they’ve already selected the fixture that will be played in America.


According to the report, league's chief Javier Tebas has proposed Girona’s fixture with Barcelona on matchday 21 to be played in America.


This request has been proposed to Girona and the league are expecting a response in the coming days.


The fixture is currently scheduled to take place in Montilivi, Girona, on January 27, 2019.


This sits between the two legs of the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey and both sides will hope to still be in the competition at that stage.


La Liga still have to decide a location in the United States - and deal with the complaints from the players.


During a meeting with the captain’s of many Premier League clubs and David Aganzo, president of the Spanish Footballers Association, it was revealed that no players are happy with playing in America.


"They are surprised and outraged to see that such important decisions have been made. The players are against it, not one of them is in favour of it. It was unanimous. Some clubs are in favour and others against. I am speaking on behalf of the players,” AS reported.


The argument is set to rumble on but it’s looking increasingly likely that Girona vs Barcelona will be played in America.

Legendary football coach, Arsene Wenger has arrived in Liberia to receive the country's highest honour from president George Weah, who he signed for Monaco in 1988.

The former Arsenal boss arrived on Wednesday and was received by Liberia's minister of Youth and Sports after landing in the country

President Weah will be inducting the Frenchman into his country's Order of Distinction and given the title of Knight Grand Commander of the Humane Order of African Redemption

The award not only conveys their personal connection, but also that he 'has contributed to sports in Africa and has given many Africans opportunities, according to information minister Eugene Nagbe.

The award ceremony will take place in the capital, Monrovia, on Friday.

Serie A newcomers Parma have signed Gervinho on a three-year contract after Hebei China Fortune agreed to release the former Arsenal forward.

The Ivory Coast international, 31, scored only four goals in two and a half years in the Chinese Super League and has not played since Chris Coleman was named his club’s manager in June.

Gervinho played for Arsenal from 2011 to 2013, scoring 11 goals in 63 games.

He then spent three seasons with Roma, leaving with 26 goals from 88 games.

Parma rejoined Roma in Italy’s top flight after three consecutive promotions. They were declared bankrupt in 2015 and demoted to Serie D.

Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah has finally posted his first tweet since being referred to the police by his employers.

Recall that Liverpool referred an incident caught on video, of Salah allegedly using a cell phone while driving, to the Merseyside police.

In a video posted on Twitter, Salah appeared to be on his phone while sitting in traffic and surrounded by a number of people.

Merseyside Police tweeted to confirm that they had been made aware of the incident after a Liverpool spokesperson said: “The club, after discussion with the player, have made Merseyside Police aware of the footage and the circumstances surrounding its capture.

“Neither the club or player will be making any further comment on this matter.”

However, Salah, who had remained quiet on the matter, took to his official Twitter page @MoSalah to pass a message since being referred to police by Liverpool.

The Egyptian international posted an image of himself running at speed on Twitter.
