@ OP, nothing heard from you again! |
This kind of thing is still being practised. Nawao for Ile Ife people. |

Serious! |
map5:I mean what got him to the position he occupies presently. His vision was to outsmart those who supported him thinking they can be his Ogas and use him to achieve their aims, not knowing he would ride on them to become their superior. Now he is a governor and can influence things beyond the reach of Tinubu, others with the support of President Bihari. |
jokayos:How do you mean? He has the focus and vision, that's why he could ride on back of those without vision to make history. |
Hmmm Same Gbaja that made Tambuwa the speaker after he had successfully betrayed his own people, making it impossible for them to produce the speaker of the house in 2011. All that has been happening to him is payback for selfish interest. Betrayal: It's promotion for Tambuwa, and demotion for Gbajabiamila |
tobybasten:All forms of true devotions are good but we are thought to embrace fellowship with the brethren and adhere to the truth about God. Only that believers should know what works best for their lives - joint or personal devotion. Many are good at personal devotion but some are very weak. It is good for the weak to get strength and the strong not to relax. |
tobybasten:OK . How can people know the gospel truth about God? Scientific research can not establish the truth about God. Someone must receive the message, practice and live it to receive divine inspiration from God and teach others. |
leofab:Do you mean the one that teaches you how to behave and manage your life and resources well, and even teaches you how to relate with your creator, and the one that opens your life to worldly opportunities and its sorrows? Both of then impact lives but differently. |
mcgaius:Hahaha... Luke 6:38 |
Pastor Adeboye is right with what he said though many misconstrued his statement or probably they took it too personal and seeked to condemn him on every statement he made concerning success of his ministry. Some people won't just be happy seeing others making success in what they hate. Being richer may not be in terms of money alone, the wretched man can be richer than rich and famous man in a particular way. The pastor may not be worth stockpile of wealth of Bill Gate, but God might have given him special grace and honour that can't be a match for those we consider as one of the richest people on earth. |
Democracy has many versions of definition in Nigeria. Government of either the people,or the loved ones, relatives for the people. Hope PMB government will not be like shielding oneself from being suspected or checked for corruption while those being suspected are to be seriously dealt with. |
Nigeria has been troubled for quite long by confused people. But negotiation with criminals looks somehow. They should be the ones to come out from their hideouts and beg good people of Nigeria for forgiveness and at the same time they must be ready to live as normal human beings. |
The Lord's 'High' Way High ways are easy to pass through and give comfort. Just as the way of God is different from the way of man, the highway of God is different from the highway of people. The Lord's highway leads to God's presence where there is lasting peace and comfort, and the requirements to pass through it are holiness, righteousness and the power of Holy Spirit. Isaiah 43:19 - I (the Lord) will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. We have these for discussion: Way of Holiness; Path to victory, and Road to Restoration. Way of Holiness: The way of holiness brings hope and transforms lives. Isaiah's prophecy of fully transformed life will come to pass when Christ returns to restore all things. That water will spring up in the desert and plants will flourish describes God's promise of restoration for His people (Isaiah 35:1-7). Strengthening of the 'weak hands' and firmness of 'feeble knees' indicate encouragement, power and ability to overcome weaknesses (sin, devil and the world) that prevent people from following God. Miraculous healing and deliverance were performed by Jesus (the Messiah) as prophesied, but complete healing and restoration of the creation will happen when he returns. Those who have consecrated themselves for Lord's purpose will walk through the way of holiness. The unclean and evil ones will not be found in the way of the Lord (Isaiah 35:8-10). God had sent Jesus to establish the way of His holiness which leads to eternal life. All we need to do to obtain God's salvation is to receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, confess our sins , ask for forgiveness, repent and live a transformed life. Path to Victory: Victorious living is a life of hope and assurance, life well lived in God, the all-powerful, all-knowing and the sovereign God. He reminded people His wondrous work and awesome nature as revealed to His people at the red sea and in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:15-18). God has the power of deliverance and victory. Therefore we should depend on Him to remove pains of the past and for the new thing he has promised to do. God will do the new thing in our lives as we walk in His way and honour Him (Isaiah 43:19-21). His promised complete transformation of the earth and harmonised living are the prophecies that will come to pass during the millennium reign. Road to Restoration: The Lord's Highway leads to restoration. At the time of restoration God will bring His people who are scattered at far places back to the holy city and they will not be separated from Him again. Because God kept His promises to Israel in the past, we can be certain He will keep His promises to us. He will strengthen and make us people of His salvation (Isaiah 62:10-12). We shall not be called 'forsaken' again, but holy people, the redeemed of the Lord as we walk in the way of God, preach the gospel and lead others to Christ. We should pray to God daily, read His word and and seek to be filled with Holy Spirit to keep going through the way of righteousness. To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Isaiah 35:1-10; 43:15-21; 49:7-17; 62: 10-12. |
One of the parties must be lying, the USA or Federal government. |
otunsman:Questions for northern youths and elders? |
otunsman:Amnesty for the oppressors! Not those being oppressed and punished for fighting for the rights. That would be like seeking amnesty for notorious criminals known for terrorising a place. We are watching how doing that will play out, if done for people without reasonable demand. |
barcanista:Likewise northerners have claimed the terrorists are not made up of the people of the north. Many have also argued that they are Niger delter militants sponsored by Southerners to decimate the north. How come, the first set to renounce membership of the wicked religio-political sect are from States of the north? Thank God the evil plan has crumble and about to fail woefully. Time for those confused about boko Satan issue to get sense. They have successfully scammed good people of Nigeria with boko haram issue, but thank God they have failed in the end. |
firstolalekan:You don't understand what Christianity means. It's about being Christlike and living by his message to please God and hope in God's salvation. Have you come across where Jesus used violence on people to learn about God and serve him? |
These people are never tired nor finished? That is the problem of giving birth to and raising unwanted children, they will grow up to become nuisance in the society. Unfortunately the north has raised so many of such vagabonds who are now terrorizing the zones |
tripplephi:Hope you are serious with this. Students that need financial assistance to further their education are so numerous that someone could just do a little to assist yet a very small number, whatever assistance you render can still go a long way. I coached 4 students for last UTME who I believe can benefit from your foundation. |
Good one from the concerned group, using their resources to boost interest of school leavers in pursuing tertiary education |
Jimwalex:I think the main problem and confusion in Islam is associated with jihad and probably some parts difficult to interprete with proper understanding. The terrorists consider those things as a move to justify attacks meant to protect Islam against opposition. Jihad means different things to Muslims at different times and places. Many will say it is spiritual struggle to keep faith, some will say it is justified by violence to protect Muslims and force unbelievers to submit and practice what they practice. Brutal acts and killings has for long been related to Islam. As I normally say there is need to reform Islam. |
I think its the same weapons the military is using presently for victory they have recorded in the recent time. |
They shall be defeated and their strength will fail them. Their brothers is Syria are doing different kinds mess to the innocent, same thing they want to spread to Nigeria. They will never succeed. |
So this is kind of thing terrorists are willing to do in Nigeria! God forbid. Is it because they don't have place in heaven that they want to destroy good people of the earth, most especially those serving God and made his people? May those following the path of darkness and claiming to render services for God come out into the light of Christ gospel. The extent of wickedness of those demons in human clothing is becoming unbearable by the day for the present generation. May God save his people from those widening the gate of hell and sending their victims through it. |
Whynotthetruth:May God help PMB to continue with various ongoing projects of former President Jonathan, and may he also make use of good opportunities and template for development he met on ground which has been helping to start somewhere and record success even before his government is fully in control. The system pursing corruption is already structured while those generating the revenue and improving the economy are also on ground. He is just doing restructuring on the system for greater performance and benefits Many thanks to Fayose for doing the needful when many thought he should be crucified. Not all that glitters is gold. He is acting as a watch dog in case of excess and misuse of authority. His call is to ensure issues are treated with justice and fairness. |
Doracle2:So PMB anti corruption crusade should be selective on those involved. |
It's is good to have someone who can be talking about excesses of a particular government or ruler. Fayose is probably the only man doing the job and seeking the way of addressing injustice. He shouldn't be castigated for that. All those found wanting, even if himself is involved must be investigated and disciplined accordingly. |
