PoliticsRe: Buhari : Is This Warning By Yoruba Elders Coming To Pass ? by Rexyl(m):

how many yorubas were in jonathan cabinent?
I think you should blame some Yoruba politicians for that, esp those who worked against emergence of Yoruba as the number 4 citizen. You should have known those who influence things. Presently under PMB the country has the worst and totally imbalanced structure. The president, the senate President, the speaker of the house, SFG and COS, and probably the CJF, all going to the north! The imbalance is just a timed bomb.

Wise people don't just react without reasons. The shout of CHANGE is just like using their bread to steal your stew!

The first shocker is from Tambuwa, now PMB has continued doing the rest that will soon be history.

Yoruba ronu!

I am not a bigot, I just follow all things and I react against strange development.

Another secrect and serious problem is against the poor farmers from the herdsmen they hosted. There has been series of complaints, but SW governments are confused and handicapped, not knowing what can be done!

There has been influx of ruthless and barbaric cattle rearers at many communities. They neither respect nor regard their hosts. They destroy their farms, rape women in the farm and presently they have resorted to snatching of motor bikes from farmers.

For how long will all this continue and the governments won't do anything? Farmers are weeping and wailing in the farms, looking for a redeemer. Should they fight their own battle? They know how to, only that we are appealing to them to be good and law abiding citizens.

Cry of marginalisation all the time from groups that are not pleased with the scheme of things. There are always maginilisation going with administrations but the present administration has taken it too far.

Tambuwa has already revealed that competent politicians and probably technocrats are not easily found in the South.

So the CHANGE might be meant for PMB people to have unrestricted access to wealth of the country. Time for Southerners to see life beyond politics.

Now you are talking. That's reason it is better to pull a stick of fire through politician tunnels so that we could know whether they are alive and what they are doing inside.

Still not good enough! FG has been accounting for trillions since inception of the current administration out of which the bail out fund is so small to have been paid and prevent unnecessary delay. Life is becoming tougher as many hardly find it easy to survive.

What is happening with the said or promised or released bail out funds to workers? That could have been the first tangible project so far. Electricity and refineries were almost completed and fixed before the new administration took over.

The new administration should be specific in mentioning successfully initiated and completed projects. It's unreasonable to sheepishly follow politicians.

What I see in Nigeria is fear of unknown and people don't want to take anything for granted any longer.

Life hasn't been easy as expected! We have experienced 100 days of mixed feelings and life has been full of challenges. Maybe the real change will manifest after some months or even years.

Nice one we really need more of this kind of development to lessen too much reliance on oil.

God bless their creativity and initiatives. Those sponsoring terrorism should learn from the owners of the company, so that they can know and understand how to give better things to society and add value to human life.

3.The mid-week religious gathering: Yes you will be wondering why i chose the mid-week. The truth is that any lady can go to church on Sundays or to jumait service on Fridays but it takes a lady who is really close to GOD or have the love for GOD to go to religious gathering during the week when she can as well be at home watching telemudo and a lady who loves GOD will surely love her family
Na true talk ... From religious point of view. Only true and dedicated Christians register good attendance of weekly activities. Many are just Sundays tablets.

That's how I was guided then!

Christianity EtcRe: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
Our Ultimate Hope
Those who are redeemed by the Lord, walking in the way of righteousness and holiness and obeying God's command will have heaven as their ultimate hope. Isaiah 65:17 - Behold, I (the Lord) create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. We have these for discussion: God's Promised Restoration; Plea for God's Intervention, and What God Will Do.

God's Promised Restoration: Jesus took people through the word God gave His prophet concerning his first coming and the ministry that would usher in the gospel. His first coming marks the time of grace to proclaim God's message of deliverance, healing and hope. It is the time to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord for redemption and salvation (Isaiah 61:1-3; 49:8; 63:4, John 3:17). Christ's message and work on the earth give hope beyond the present world.

God spoke concerning the time He would redeem his people and transform their land. He promised to restore Israel and make the people His priests according to the covenant made with them from the beginning. Even though they have taken to their own ways, failed to serve God the way He wants, and many have hated them God will still call them back to Himself, bless and give them double portion of firstborn inheritance (Isaiah 61:4-9). In the same manner God will bless those who are redeemed to Him through Christ and give them His inheritance. Today, people who are not Jews have received God's new covenant to the world through Jesus Christ (Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 11:25).

Plea for God's Intervention: It is easier for those who believe and follow the way of God to reflect on divine intervention and trust Him for what He will still do. When Isaiah reflected on wondrous works God did among Israelites he desired that the people should always experience the presence of God and serve Him (Isaiah 64:1-4). Throughout their journey to the promised land Israelites were not only the people that experienced the presence and power of God. The nations around saw how God walked with the people and intervened for them. The signs of the presence of God were not for Israel alone. Since the time of the new covenant God has been God of those who diligently seek and serve Him. Fulfillment of God's promises requires that we wait on God and have confidence in Him.

Just as Isaiah did for Israel, we need to check our lives, examine our sinful conditions, repent of the sins and relate with God with clean heart. Unless God shows mercy and saves life righteousness of man may not find a place before Him (Isaiah 64:5-9). Despite our shortcomings God the Father is still mindful of us as His Children (Deut 32:6; Psalms 68:5; 89:26; 103:13; Prov 3:13). He is the heavenly Father for those redeemed by the blood of His Son.

What God Will Do: He will create new heavens and new earth (Isaiah 65:17-18). Then things of the past will no longer come to the mind. The present Jerusalem will also be transformed for the millennial kingdom. The new Jerusalem ( Revelation 21) of the new creation is different from restored Jerusalem of the millennial reign of Christ (Isaiah 65: 19-25). The millennial reign will be the years of long life and stable peace. During the period also people will enjoy fruits of their labour and they will not labour in vain. Satan will be bound for one thousand years, though he will still be released for a short time before his final judgement. God will be so close to people in the millennium and provide their needs readily. God has revealed what He wants to do with the creation. He doesn't make a promise He is not committed to keep. To Him be the glory. Lesson texts: Isaiah 61: 1-9; 64: 1-9; 65:17-25

Constant power supply.... YES!
Yeah the dream we are praying to come through. Obj tried it but couldn't succeed, Jona did it and almost completed it before his exit, thank God PMB can't abandon the project because it has gone far. Our expectation is that by the time PMB adds his own or complete the remaining few things electricity will be fixed and and made available 24/7. Thanks to all who could have given us stable electricity. It could have been far better if OBJ investment or project on electricity has added to what we have presently. I mean the controversial funds meant for power generation and distribution then

Opposition parties are often the best performing parties in Nigeria while the ruling party are associated with gra gra, threats, and initially unnoticed corruption which grows out of manageable proportion to a level that could spoil the system. Hope APC won't follow the trend sha... The party has been talking too much, always counting on the failure of past administrations while some States have alredy compromised in keeping promises of their manifestoes.

Whether they are first class, third class on no class, the message is clear, and the work is that which all must struggle to do with clear minds and clean hands.... Preach 'the word of eternal life' at the right season or time when you still have the grace for a time is coming when you will no longer have the grace and opportunity... Do the work while it is still during the day for the night is coming when man cannot do the work

The Lord reigns let the earth rejoice and the coasts tremble. Those kings are just testifying within their little capacity that God is good and his mercy endures forever, and that He is the Lord of lords and King of kings. Glory and honour be unto living and loving God we serve. He wants all people to come to Him and receive His salvation made possible by CHRIST JESUS.
PoliticsRe: Why Islamic Scholars Are Silent On Boko Haram, By Governor Kashim Shettima by Rexyl(m): 8:07pm On Aug 21, 2015
YakubuA:
Yes it is part of the Quran but it is not a proof. You see unlike you Christians we Muslims do not just take literal translation of a verse rather we take it base on the understanding of the Prophet and his Companions. So based on that this verse was referring to the tribes that reside in Medina who had a treaty with the Muslims but later violated the treaty and joined forces with the pagans of Quraish, from Mecca, who came to exterminate the Muslims during the battle of the confederates. After the incident Allah grant the Muslims permission to fight these tribe for their evil plots and evil alliances not because of their believe.

Below is part of the Tafsir of Ibn Abbas for the verse:

(O ye who believe!) in Muhammad (pbuh) and in the Qur’an (Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you) the Banu Qurayzah, Banu’l-Nadir, Fadak and Khaybar, (and let them find harshness in you) toughness from you, (and know) O believers (that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)) Allah helps the believers: Muhammad (pbuh) and his Companions, by making them victorious over their enemies.
No wonder that it will only take the grace of God to end terrorism in the world. You further revealed beyond doubt that violence is body language of what you believe and practice.

Who are those claiming to be believers willing to fight and destroy souls (unbelievers) God wants to save?
