There are hundreds of thousands of blogs in Nigeria. Most rarely have even one single comment at the end of the article. When i stumble on them, I usually wonder if the owner is breaking even or meeting his expectations, or even seeing any tangible money.

I would like to know if blogs can generate >50k a month. Or how long it would take to do that, and the necessary things to put in place to achieve that before I venture into it.

If you want to blog for good money don't learn from Nigerian bloggers. Learn from foreign bloggers. They are in tune with current realities not our local bloggers who are still a century behind.

Ever since I got a federal government job,

my relatives have been disturbing me for money.

There must always be an issue that involves money which they want me to solve.

Recently, my mom become sick.

They are threatening me that I would be held responsible if my mom dies,if I don't make sure she is cured.

But I have taken her to hospitals, and she is trying to recover.

I do this whenever I visit home since I am working in a state far from home.

Her health challenge is due to old age.

But today my uncle called me that I should resign, get back to the village and personally take care of my mom,

failure of which,if she dies, the whole family would hold me responsible for choosing job over my mom.

Can you imagine resigning your federal job to get to the village and start staying?

The calls, the demands, the attacks are getting too much for me.

Please should I just switch off my phone so that no one can contact me?

I just need advice?

Carry the woman from the village and bring her to the city for proper medical check up before your village witches and wizards start using her as ATM to extort you everytime they needed money.

So let me start with my own...

I got Penguin from a movie I watched, Gotham. Penguin's real name in the movie was Oswald Cobblepot but people called him Penguin because of his hair; and his looks maybe.

He didn't like the name at first and would always retort if called by the name. But with time it grew on him and he started to address himself by the name.

His character was that of a downtown guy trying to survive. He did a lot of shits. But these are shits he had no option than to do them if he must survive.

I saw me in him. Well, not like I do shits. But I saw in him a young man that wants to survive no matter what life throws at him.

At a time, Fish, his female boss then, broke his leg and he started to walk funny but he continued to hustle and to work himself up the ladder of the society.

Penguin was my favorite character in Gotham. That's why I chose the name.

Blogging requires a lot of time, money and resources. Time to research, money to implement your blogging Skills and resources like books and human capital to assist and guide you on your journey.

A blog takes time to generate income depending on your skill set and niche. Contrary to popular thought, even US $100 can't host a year's contract on any of the top webhosts in the world.

If your views are from the point of traditional laws and customs, which I believe you are not versed in from your questions, then I can understand. But the Cavaet of a child born outside wedlock in Yorubaland is based in the fact that the man's family recognized the child as his or not. Hence the appellate " OMO ALE". A child born outside wedlock does not have the same rights as the one born in it in his father's house, irrespective of his status in society and under any law in Yorubaland. That applies both in Civil and Islamic laws.

It's not about sentiments or tribe or religious affiliation. It's a fact if law.

So many inheritance issues are before courts for decades that has not been solved.

If your family has no problems with interreligious marriage and tolerance that does not mean others are cool with the idea. Some are ready to any length to adhere to the provisions of their religion in case of issues like this.

FRA Williams Family are still in court almost more or less than a decade after his death over his Estate.

I am telling you that the Provisions of Section 272 the Nigerian Constitution will prevail against other laws of the land if such cases go to court.

It states clearly that the religion of the late person will be used to share his estate after observing the necessary rites.

My dear there are issues that you need to know for your own posterity and safety. I a speaking from the point of marriage in Islam not fanatical view.

A marriage not conducted under the tenets of Islam is not valid by law. By direct implications, it may be used to deny you and your kids any share of his inheritance when he dies.

However, the respite you get is that he should either make you comfortable for the rest of your life by giving you a large share in his Estate.

His family will always use that against you when he is gone.

Another safety net is, you should conduct traditional marriage or you convert to Islam or he writes a will to take care of his estate.

The reason I am saying this is that the writers of the Nigerian constitution accepted both the civil law, customary law and religious laws as that guiding civil unions and inheritance issues. Primarily, the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution states clearly that it is the religion of the of the person that governs how his Estate will be shared.

I am currently in court over the issue of my father's Estate for the past fourteen years and I know what I am going through because if these provisions.

Please leave love out of this and understand the complications of what you are about to get into.

yes its the terrain. some rare species are still in the Boko Haram occupied territory of Sambisa Forest which spans to four states namely Bauchi, Yobe Borno and Kano State. Some of these animals do wander into the main roads or villages intheir vicinty.
