Rivers State Governor, Ezenwo Wike yesterday inspected the ongoing construction of an 11000 square metres shopping mall in Port Harcourt.

Speaking with news men after the inspection tour of the facility, Governor Wike said construction of a Dubai standard supermarket in Port Harcourt underscores the importance of Port Harcourt as an investment destination.

The governor said to ensure maximum utilization of the facility at the Trans-Amadi area of Port Harcourt, his administration will support the investor by reconstructing the roads leading to the mall.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the investment, which he said will create employment opportunities for residents and the host community.

He thanked the private investor, Mr Ndibe Obi for choosing Port Harcourt for the mall, saying that the city has all the facilities that will attract credible private investors.

In his remarks, the Private Investor, Mr Ndibe Obi confirmed that the mall will house an 11000 square metre supermarket which will sell all types of products.

My friend got this big Python for himself at the rate of #23,000, to celebrate the new year, after being inspired by a Nigerian celebrity, pretty mike, who bought a Python and named it Toke Makinwa.

He took the pet home, in its cage, early morning on the first day of the year 2018.

Some hours later, he went out to get some stuff down the street to make more merry with friends. But unfortunately, he came back and met the jungle justice meted out on his pet by security conscious neighbour.

He's got no choice than to celebrate his cross over to the new year and allowing peace to reign between him and the neighbour..

I mean one who loves, respects and listens to her husband, while he reciprocates, doing extreme things for pastors.

The most unhappy married Nigerian women are found in the church. They are the easiest to brainwash. They see things in their pastors that they wish to see in their husbands, they automatically give him the respect that should be given to their husbands. The pastors on their part are trained to listen, something most husbands don't do. So, she pours out her mind to him.

If they are not praying and sowing seeds against sidechics, it's for a child, against troublesome in-laws, for their husband's love, their husband/children's progress...etc.

They won't stop, a miracle must happen in this 2018.

A huge and handsome guy lost his life today.

He(the Armed Robber) was caught and burnt alive today at Pipeline area of Aleto, Eleme in Rivers state, by angry youths.

According an eye witness, the armed man had succeeded in robbing a woman along the pipeline at about 5a.m early in the morning today.

When the alarm was raised " thief o, thief o, thief o" however his gun had no bullet, he was caught and sent back to hell .

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal yesterday met with Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and former Delta State Governor James Ibori at Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The governors retired to the Delta State Government House after attending a showcase of Delta’s Youths Empowerment Programme.

Tambuwal, elected on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He defected to the APC at the last minute in 2015 to pick the ticket to run for governor. He won and succeeded Aliyu Wamako, who is now a senator.

Tambuwal has been speculated as one of those the PDP is prospecting as a possible presidential candidate in the 2019 election. He has not reacted to the speculations which gained more ground after last weekend’s PDP convention.

There was excitement as Okowa and Ibori rode into the venue.

The large crowd mostly PDP faithful broke into a chorus as they arrived for the products exhibition and business fair to showcase the Okowa administration’s youth empowerment programme. Many government functionaries also turned up.

The Okowa administration’s youth empowerment programme centres on its Skills Training &Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) and the Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP).

The twin-scheme has trained 2,324 unemployed youths and established them in their choice enterprises.

Ibori recalled with nostalgia the day he transferred power on May 29 2007 Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.

He said: “I come into this arena Asaba Arcade with a great sense of nostalgia. I remember that it was at this venue on the 29th of May 2007 that I transferred power to Dr Eweta Uduaghan. Since that time, this is my first outing here and I am indeed very pleased that you have invited me to be with my people. Thank you very much for this opportunity”.

He praised Okowa for empowering the unemployed youths in the State, while endorsing the incumbent Gov. Okowa for a second term in office

He said, “The day the people of Delta made that choice to make you their governor, they did it knowing full well that you will deliver and thank God you are delivering. Let me place on record my gratitude to you for remembering our unemployed youths, because at the end of the day when you and I are gone, they will be the ones to take over.

”I might be watching from the sidelines, but today I want to make it abundantly clear again that you are doing very well .May God continue to guide you, give you peace and sharpen your vision so that at the end of your tenure in eight years so that Delta will be the best for it,”

Tambuwal arrived after the ceremony. He only joined to see the exhibition while Wike was part of the event.

At the end of the ceremony Tambuwal left for the Government House with Okowa and Ibori

Air travellers to Enugu during this Christmas festivities may face hard times as the Federal Government (FG) has planned to shut down the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu for repair work on the runway.

Sagetravels.com gathered that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had written to the Presidency for approval to shut down the airport for flight operations to resurface the entire runway which has been overdue.

The Airport will be closed to traffic at 3 pm daily from December 14 to December 21, 2017, and December 27 to January 4, 2018, to enable repair of the facility.

Authoritative sources informed Sagetravels.com that airlines have been notified about the planned closure in due course and the plan is that flight operations will be diverted to Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport, Owerri or Portharcourt International Airport, Portharcourt.

Affected passengers can contact their airline for rescheduling or rerouting or their flights.

1. Christian Oyakhilome was born on December 7, 1961 to the family of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church (AG) in Benin City and major parts of the old Mid-Western Region of Nigeria. He is an Esan from Edo State.

2. Chris Oyakhilome conducted his first crusade at the age of 9.

3. On completion of his secondary education at the Edo College, Benin City, he spent his vacation as a bookstore attendant, selling books at the reknowned Faith Miracle Centre opposite Benin Airport pastored by Rev Benson Idahosa of the Church of God Missions Int’l Incorporated (CGMI).

4. He got admitted into the old Bendel State University established by late Governor Ambrose Alli (now Ambrose Alli University) when it was established in 1981 and studied Architecture.

5. As an undergraduate, he established a fellowship known as Youths For Christ (YFC), notable among the leaders was another student, Tom Amenkhienan who was the leader of the choir. Anita Ebodaghe and her friend, Joy were members of the choir who soon married both Chris and Tom. YFC soon became one of the largest fellowships on Campus in Ekpoma.

6. By 1989, Chris Oyakhilome established the ministry known as Believers Loveworld inc (BLW) and named her church arm Christ Embassy with headquarters in Lagos. He got married to Anita on February 2nd 1991.

7. Six months before he passed on, Benson Idahosa told Chris Oyakhilome to invite him to a program in BLW before March 14th. Benson Idahosa died unexpectedly on March 12.

8. By 2002, BLW had become the most prominent Christian ministry on television in not just Nigeria but all over the African Continent with her Atmosphere for Miracles. Nigerian former President, Olusegun Obasanjo through the NBC in May 2004 stopped the airing of miracles on Television, an action that was largely seen by Pastor Chris as targeting Christ Embassy and subsequently took the matter to court.

9. Earlier in 2003, Pastor Chris pioneered the first 24 hour Christian satellite network broadcasting from Africa worldwide.

21. Though he is a protégé of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Pastor Chris is not a member of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) pioneered by Idahosa and others.

22. December 7 every year, the birthday of Pastor Chris, is commemorated as ‘OFFER 7’ in BLW, it is the day members of BLW and all others blessed by the ministry of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome are encouraged to offer a seed into the life of the clergyman fondly referred to as ‘Our Man of God’.
