Lol...but of a truth...some girls have no shame..you need to see the way some lust after married men.... I know this because of the nature of my job.
it takes extra discipline for a rich married man to stay faithful in this Abuja where I live....here you've the most lazy guys and ladies....during work hours they do nothing rather than dressing and moving cars around when you ask what they do for a living they all claim business....but if you look closely...they into runs...

married folks just have to disciplined and try keep to their marriage vows...
You are absolutely right. And I think that if you truly love your husband/wife/partner, you will stay faithful to them. Nobody likes to be cheated on, especially those that are more likely to cheat. And while some will resort to separation or divorce, some do run on very short fuses and also carry very long machetes.

Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated the December 9 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was transparent with a credible voting process.

Addressing journalists after casting his vote for different candidates at the National Convention at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Saturday, Governor Wike said with the successful convention, PDP has been repositioned to serve as a credible opposition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said: ” This election has been quite credible. It has been very transparent. Done in the full glare of the world.

“We are prepared to be an opposition as expected to the ruling party come 2019”.

Commenting on those who are still criticising the process, Governor Wike expressed surprise that anyone would fault the process that created room for the exhibition of true democracy.

“If you have not done your homework well, you come forward to cry foul.It is surprising that even an election as organised as this, somebody will still cry.

“You have an exam and you don’t prepare, but you expect to win. “, Governor Wike said.

Former Rivers State Governor, Dr Peter Odili and Governor Wike led the delegates from Rivers State to vote in the hitch-free process.

The Rivers State delegates included Former Ministers, Members of the National Assembly, State Assembly members and National Delegates.

I am not sure how anyone would invest in a technology that they do not understand. These 'inventors' can do themselves the favor of explaining what qualifies this contraption of theirs as a game changer, and why it should be promoted. If they are scared of people 'stealing their ideas', they can register their patent and then come out clean and explain what miracle they are performing. If not, they may as well be selling snake oil

Greetings my fellow Nigerians. I'm facing the prospect of coming back to Nigeria after 8 years in the USA. I finished my post-graduate degree and I'm coming back with a Bsc, MBA and 2 years of work experience in the telecoms industry. I want to know from my people back home, how is the general national feeling, how they enjoy their lifestyle/quality of life and the hard-truths of what I'll be facing coming back as I've been so far removed from the national consciousness because I've been in the USA for almost a decade. I feel passion about my country and people but I need to know what too expect. So my people are you happy with life back home?

EducationRe: Man Meets Professor Alexander Animalu On A Plane To Abuja & Is Excited About It by Rhea: 6:49am On Dec 07, 2017
ChangeIsCostant:
A Nigerian man, Patrick O. Okigbo III, has shared his encounter with 79-year-old Professor Emeritus, Alexander Animalu of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), whom he met on a flight from Enugu to Abuja.

The renowned professor Animalu is a physicist of international repute, member of the highest advisory body on Science and Technology to the Nigerian government, a pioneer of solar energy in Nigeria, the only African member to date of the Advisory Board of the Euro-Journal Physics and the only African member of the Editorial Board of the Hadronic Journal.

Below is what the excited man posted on Facebook after his meeting with the aged professor.

GOOD NAME

I am on the Air Peace flight from Enugu to Abuja. As usual, it is packed with a good mix of Ndigbo leaving the region to hustle in other parts of Nigeria and probably the world. It is always a good place to meet people and to get a sense for what’s happening in the region. You are sure to pick up interesting conversations.

As I walked to my seat towards the back of the plane, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I have been assigned a seat across the aisle from Prof. Alexander Animalu, the renowned theoretical physicist. He was already holding court with some of the people seated around him. He regaled them with stories from his days at the then-prestigious Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) also referred to, by rivals, as “Does Monkey Go to School”. Animalu was in the graduating class of 1957. There were two other “DenGramites” around us and they were in awe of the man. They had only heard stories of Animalu’s academic prowess but never had a chance to meet him in person.

Prof. Animalu told us stories of how he arrived in the USA on January 01, 1966 to study physics at MIT on a Shell-BP scholarship. I told him that it was coincidental that my dad arrived London on the same day to study accountancy on a scholarship from Eastern Nigeria Development Commission.

He mentioned that he is from Oba in Anambra state. I told him that I am from next door, Ojoto. He spoke about some of my uncles who were his contemporaries: Pius, Bede, Chris. At the mention of Chris, the discussion went to the War.

As is often the case, Biafra makes a cameo in these conversations. Prof. Animalu did not fight in the war because he was in the States. Like most people from the region, he lost many friends and family members.

We spoke about his academic career and how much goodwill he still enjoys. Most of the people on the plane who recognized him came by to shake his hands. Even some politicians came from the front of the plane to greet him.

I thought of all the big Ogas on this plane: current National Chairman of a political party, two candidates in the January 2018 Senatorial elections in Anambra, a former Honourable Minister, etc. None had the same level of genuine admiration as this reputed emeritus professor who sat at the back of the plane, hoping to remain incognito, but whose academic accomplishments, life’s work, and good name caused for a long procession of people who just wanted to shake his hands. I kept thinking, “eziafa ka ego” (good name is better than money).

As the air hostess announced (in a jumble of accents) that we should switch off our phones and get ready for departure, I asked Prof. Animalu for a selfie. He obliged. I captured the moment to use it to teach my kids that good name is better than silver and gold.

EducationRe: ASUU To Resume Indefinite Strike On Monday by Rhea: 8:24am On Dec 04, 2017
bravoluv83:
The Joint Action Committee has directed the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Associated Institutions and National Association of Academic Technologists to resume strike on Monday.
A letter to all the branch chairmen titled, ‘Directives to immediately resume the suspended strike,’ was signed by Samson Ugwoke, SSANU, Chris Ani, NASU and Sani Suleiman, NAAT.
The JAC had claimed that only a ‘pittance’ was given to the three unions out of the N23bn ‘earned allowance’ released by the Federal Government to the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
The union complained that the government failed to explain how the money was shared between ASUU and the non-academic teaching staff unions.
The strike notice read, “Please, recall our last correspondence to you in which we informed you of the letter written to the Minister of Education rejecting the allocation made by the office of the Permanent Secretary and signed by the PS himself.
“In the said letter, the Federal Government was given seven days to explain the criteria for the said allocation and do the needful. The deadline has elapsed without any response from the Federal Government of Nigeria.
“In view of the above therefore, you are hereby directed to resume the suspended indefinite strike action as from 12 midnight, Sunday, 3rd December, 2017.
“During this period, the strike shall be total and comprehensive.”
When contacted for reaction to the claims by the union that they were cheated in the disbursement of the allocation, the ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said he was on the road and requested our correspondent to call back later.
This is the boss of the Nigerian University Commission Prof Adamu Abubakar Rasheed celebrating with his son who just bagged a PhD from the University of Aberdeen in the UK.

Joro shared a yet shocking story of a bride-to-be who is currently in a dilemma and needs advise from matured minds.

She revealed her fiance is from a rich family, and she has gotten gifts from his family… But the problem is he has slept with 3 of her bridesmaids..

Read her story below:
“This is concise as I’m too distraught to type. I’m meant to get married soon. My fiancee is from a rich family. His fam bought me a car, land amongst other things for wedding gift.”

“As at today I have millions in my account from wedding money as gift. He was dreamy to me. My all. But I’m in a quandary now. I don’t know if I should go ahead with the wedding. My family thinks I should. I realize people change when they see money.”

“I realize people change when they see money. My family doesn’t care about the cheating because they know I’ll be financially secure. Cutting the story short.”

“I found out my fiancee has slept with 3 of my friends on my bridal train. I saw this in a text he was sending to his friends and bragging. I’m so ripped apart. I can’t eat or sleep.”

“I confronted him and I said I needed time to rethink. He has been crying. I love my girls but I’m not mad at them. Is it weird I’m mad at him alone. He sleep with them all while we were dating. Please public opinion matters.”

Baba Fela said it; we live like animals in this part of the world.
Are you still wondering why they call us 3rd world countries or underdeveloped nations or non align nationshuh
It is really sad, but more pathetic that most people posting comments here are more inflamed by my observation than they are with the state of their beloved Alma-mater. Referring back to Fela, we are suffering and smiling.

christejames:
That's the male students hostels area (Franco). I'm surprised the management had to allow the refuse to reach such an unimaginable level before clearing. When I was there, clearing of those refuse was quite regular...
Be that as it may, Franco really need a total facelift. Don't know why each administration keep overlooking and neglecting the rot that area of the school has become. Although the last time I visited that area, I saw some refurbishment of the structures albeit slow... I know the amount we pay as hostel fee is nothing to write about but the govt still can do more to transform the condition of the residential area of her first generation schools.
UNN is a great school and this won't take that away from her! The students are resilient and indefatigable.
There may be no UNN left in 20 years at the rate the infrastructures are decaying without intervention. The students should channel their resilience toward the authorities to focus their attention on the things that matter.

Daniel2802:
Lol, u snapped Fiber and the road to Franco ref. Boy's hostels are in a poor state compared to girl's. I rep Alvan 200 series tho.
This is not a photo-op competition of male vs female hostel. The infrastructure in UNN is decaying. We can intervene to save it or continue to exchange tirades while the governing council and those in authority continue to relocate their offsprings overseas to better study environments.

The hostel is not so bad.

They have bikes in it for easy transportation,
They have open ceilings if they need to hide,
They have accessible refuse dumps, if they need to dispose dirts.
The have metal railings to dry their clothes close to them.
Plus a ready kiosk, in case you need to buy a smoke or a rubber.

Great hostel, I must say;

It has produced notable people like Peter Odili, Like Ekweremadu, Chinua Achebe, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Patrick Utomi, Godwin Emefiele and Lam Adeshina.

No matter what you think of the hostel,
A UNN graduate is higher than you naturally!
