Security operatives recently raided the dreaded Igwebuike forest in Awara in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state where the remains of one Eluwa Stanley who was killed and buried in a shallow grave by 18 year old John Bobo four others who are now at large, were exhumed by the police and the villagers.

Bobo and his group are said to be members of the Iceland confraternity.

The slain Eluwa who was a commercial motorcycle rider - was killed and his body buried in a shallow grave inside a forest after snatching his motorcycle. Eluwa was killed on October 5,while one of his killers was arrested by the police on October 24.

It could be recalled that the remains of a 63 year old woman were also exhumed by the police in the same Igwebuike Forest on December 26 ,2015,after his abductors had killed and buried her in a shallow grave in the forest after collecting 510,000 as ransom from her family members.

I was travelling to Port Harcourt from Lagos, on my way, i was arrested by one FRSC member who accused me of not using my seatbelt. I begged him but he refused. He said he was going to seize my drivers licence. But after much plea, he decided to collect N10,000.00 from me, which was the last money on me.

I reluctantly gave him money sadly and went my way. I was about entering bida when a phone rang beside me, and i was surprised to see an IPhone 7s on my passenger seat. I picked the call only to discover that, the FRSC man forgot his phone in my car after much deliberations while i was apprehended.

I told my God "Hey you miraculous God". Those holy holy people should not come here and advice me to return the phone. I saw it as my only consolation. A terminal at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu will be ready by September 2015, the Supervising Minister of Aviation, Dr Samuel Ortom, declared. He stated this after inspecting ongoing construction works of the N11.6 billion project at the airport on April 7, 2014, Monday. Ortom, who is also the Minister of State for Trade and Investment, said he was impressed by the level of work done at the site said by the assurance given to him by the contractors, China Civil Engineering company, the terminal will be ready by September 2015. The engineers handling the project promised the minister and his entourage that going by the speed they are going, they would do everything within their power and resources ensure the completion of the project on schedule. The Supervising Minister of Aviation also pointed out that over 400 Nigerians have been given jobs for this terminal project alone. He also inspected the remodelled old terminal, the pilgrims’ terminal, the pilots’ lodge and the general aviation building, all within the airport. It would be recalled that Ortom took over from the immediate past Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, on February 18, 2014. It's a very long story but let me cut it short

Back in my secondary days my sister got married to a man from Imo state, within two years they gave birth to two beautiful daughters (twins), few months after giving birth the husband was diagnosed with eye cancer, which after much treatment he passed away.

The families of the man refused my sister of everything, they went as far as telling her to go away with the kids, that they are evil, that they want nothing to do with her and the children. So she came back home, my parents tried everything possible to resolve the issue but to no avail, so we accepted the kids as ours, they even started bearing our last name.

Few years later a man asked for my sister's hand in marriage, like two to three years into the marriage she gave birth to a boy and a girl, by then I was already schooling in UNN and I normally don't travel back home constantly. She calls at times to ask how I was doing and sometimes complains of how her husband doesn't bring money for anything in the house, that she is the one that pays for everything concerning the kids schooling, that she can count the number of times her husband brings money for paying of rent and for feeding.

She reported him to his people but nothing was done, after much complaining she said she's not interested in the marriage anymore, some of our family members advise her not to leave the marriage that is not right via her being married before, but she refused, that she can't be the man in the house by taking care of everything that they (the husband and her) should be doing together. So she went ahead to rent her own apartment and brought along her the two kids, few months after moving out her husband was evicted for failing to pay his rent.

I graduated this year and decided to go visit her and from there find something doing before I leave for service, on my reaching there I asked her what is happening via her marriage, she told me that since she moved here her husband has never for once asked of the kids, even to send money for their upkeep he has not done it, so out of anger he sent his son to him as he is the eldest, to take care of him.

Since I got to her house there is this guy that visits her and calls her constantly, she even visits him almost if not every night.

I want to talk to her about it, so everyone in the house please what can I do? Should I stay mute or not? If not, what should I tell her?

The mistake has been made. You should learn from your sister's experience and try not to suffer her fate. Make sure you can sustain yourself financially before you get married. The same advice goes to any woman today that aspires respect and peace of mind in her family. If you depend on your husband for financial support, he will treat you the same way he treats an empty bottle of beer. And NEVER give up your job for any man. You can even run a career / business from home, but make sure you are financially independent before marriage. That way, you can tell your husband to go to hell when he decides to feed you ratshit.

In as much as this article is not meant to spite the school authority, as bunch of it is directed towards the students, the school authority still have a great role to play in ensuring good living conditions of their students though it seems the students have been left alone to continue living like animals.


Since I've been in this school I haven't visit any female hostel as most guys would have, so my assertions here are based on what I had seen in the three males hostel i.e Awolowo, Fajuyi and Angola halls. A visit to any of the aforementioned hostel in normal weekdays will make you speechless but a visit on Saturdays and Sundays will definitely make you puke. The sight of dirt flowing around will made you wondered whether you're truly in OAU or some god forsaken prison yard, to be honest with y'all most OAU boys behave less than worst animals you see out there, that you'll begin to question yourself whether you're truly in the midst of people or mindless animals.

The toilets will be left unkept even when there is water to do so, the rooms will be left untidy like some animal breeding grounds, clean up the room this hour, next hour its already chaos, there are waste bins around but no one is using them.

I'm using this opportunity to reach out to my fellow students to imbibe the culture of cleanliness, let's begin to reason like humans and do the right things, please make use of the waste bins, clean your environments.

To the school authority, more hostels need to be built, you can't accommodate more than 10,000 boys in 4000 spaces, the toilets are eyesore, they all needed to be fixed or replaced, and lastly we are not animals stop treating us like one.
We can't be living in bushes because weren't wilds.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State today, overwhelmed audience at the flag off of the Local Government Election campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu North L.G.A with tears of joy, when he spotted from the podium, a physically challenged woman who was struggling to have a glimpse of him and invited her to the stage.

The governor asked the mother of one, Grace Okoye, from Abia State resident in Enugu, what she wanted him to do for her.

Responding, she first appreciated Gov. A married lecturer was arrested yesterday for inviting a female student he was assigned to supervise her final year project to a hidden hotel in barracks road, Igoli Ogoja, Cross River state.

From the video, the man was seen begging to be allowed to go for his promotional interview which he missed due to the arrest.
