You'll be shocked, banks are already crashing their rates to 1%, and I'm sure it will be so for for all banks before new year.
Most of the banks invest your money in Tbills anyways, so its bound to crash their prices, you can always reduce the risk of a risky investment with knowledge, don't be afraid to go into it and always test the water before jumping in

Still functioning. Just got 112 days secondary for 6% a few minutes ago at 11:35. This is 11:40 now. I had another option for 63 days at 5%.
What I did, I took the phone number of the person that received my filled form because at the time I filled there was none available. So from time to time I kept calling from time to time to prompt the person to check, don't forget they are also busy and won't remember to do that for you without the very polite prompting.
My experience in life is that simple cordiality and respect gets things done.
Still functioning, I got 5% at 62 days, Demoralizing but what can man do?

Rather than be a market chaser chasing the highs and lows to offload and buy I rather return back to FOREX, with low leverage that trims capital exposure one can make a moderate 25% monthly in Forex so why sit all day with this our somehow-market.
YOu are very intelligent, this is exactly what I am doing, most people say Forex is very risky but they lack understanding, once you study the market for at least a month and trade using low leverage, the tide will always come in your favour, I trade using the GDP/USD pair

I was at Stanbic-ibtc Garki Abuja today but was told they no longer do secondary market because of cbn directives.

Can someone please confirm if this is applicable in their other branches?

I did the last one there in September.
That's not true, you can still do secondary market, try and get an account officer that you can be communicating with via email, my account officer can't try this with me, she knows the blasting she will receive

Why attack him, he just launched a train service that is even carrying people for free, if he did not do anything they will say he has not done something, if he does something they will say he has not done enough, for more than 20yrs our railway system has not been functional and he brought it back to life, please he is not the one to be attacked
Thank you

You guys should just forget about the rates increase, as long as Government is focusing on Taxation, it is getting money from other sources and does not need our treasury bills, this thread should be closed

we are consuming local rice...

why did the price rise after border was closed just after sallahhuh?

is that the intention of CBN?
TO MAKE LOCAL PRODUCTS AS EXPENSIVE FOREIGN ONES?

since CBN is trying to control the market.. They should stop local producers from raising price FOR NO REASON AT ALL!

EMEFIELE.. You have become Baalam...
You shall reap likewise!
The price rose because of excess demand and limited supply

More troubles for Nigerian ailing economy, remember the $9.6bn judgement in the UK; if 9ja eventually losses this case and is forced to pay the total sum, from our meager $39bn ext reserves then we should be prepared for a mega recession.
Honestly all Nigerian leaders past & present will never know peace either dead or alive. They have gambled with future of its citizens.

Excerpt below;
$9.6bn Judgment: Nigerian Government To Pay $200m P&ID Deposit Monday, Firm Claims
The British court had asked Nigeria to pay $200m security payment in the court’s account while granting request to stay execution in the award of $9.6bn award in favour of Process and Industry Development Limited.
However, this will increase treasury bill rates

Aswear, your first paragraph is what I really would love to do tomorrow.. It doesn’t make any sense, there was no place in the form where I filled “roll over request if bid fails”.
I have lots of engagements starting from next week Monday and need my funds back immediately.
Plus, Tbills isn’t looking enticing anymore.
Send your account manager an email, copy CBN if possible, it always works wonders

Have you heard about the saying "put your money where your mouth is".

There are complications with financial investments, if you don't live in or are not from the country where you intend to invest, don't do it.

The stress you will go through when there is a problem will threaten the return of capital.

Invest in Nigeria where you can attend to any complications within 24 hours.
Thanks for this relevant information

Please explain ooo. People. please explain. how does Treasury bill work??
You invest a certain amount for a certain period of time (90, 180, 365 days), if you are investing via a bank the return are instant usually between 8 - 12%. For example if you invest 10,000,000 for 360 days you will be given around 800,000 - 1,200,000 upfront, at the end of your tenure, you will given your capital, I hope you understand

Best Regards

I must state that I have been a strong investor in T-bills and have been following this thread for years as a guest, I only recently wished to start contributing and sharing ideas with the intelligent minds we have here, however we must understand that things are changing drastically in Nigeria and like a Bamboo we must bend and not break

I agree with you but I'm not sad. TBs will always be there but that wall of 'lazy' money needs to find a home in the real sector.
Thanks for your response, most top economies in the world have very low TB interest rates, that is because their economy is so strong that they do not require public funds for initiating projects, they usually get them through tax, Nigeria has started implementing strong tax policy, I really don't see TB rates rising anytime soon, at least for this Government, I used to be a strong investor in TB, but now I am thinking of going into something else like starting a farm or building an App, at least I will help the economy in my own little way and provide employment

Things are tough now, but we must succeed
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by richforever123: 11:31pm On Nov 17, 2019
In as much as I am sad at the dwindling TB rates, I see it as a good step in growing the economy, there is a huge demand for rice in the country, coupled with the border closure, this is a big opportunity to invest in the real economy, there are a lot of business opportunities available in Nigeria now, but an elevated sense of fear will not allow people invest in the real sector
FamilyRe: My Husband Dislikes Me by richforever123: 12:59am On Nov 09, 2019
I am sorry to hear about your predicament, but let us look at the facts here,
You and your husband were happily married
After some years you were not able to produce a child, though we are not sure who's the fault
Your husband become s disgusted at you because you are not able to give him a child
He's love for you is based on what you can and cannot provide from him, even though he knows your genuine intentions towards him
He will not magically start loving you unless you can provide a child

Given the above scenario, we can say that in order for your home to remain happy you have to give him a child or leave the marriage
