I'm 8 years in marriage with 3 kids, and acounsellor. Believe me, I'm reasoning and speaking from experience. The man know he's been caught and boxxed into a cornner.
His acts now are childish tantrum. He knows he is throwing it all away.

If the op could maintain her current mindset, then they will be good. The key here is not to get angry or bitter. Anger and bitterness will do more harm than good.

The are not breaking up, the man will come back to his sense. You can take this to the bank.

The marriage counsellors that I know always try to rebuild..... they try every means possible to reunite until they ran out of options... It seems your own type of counselling is different... that was why I asked the harmless question... Thank you everyone for your advice. Just to update you . I sent him my number yesterday and he called few hours later we had discussed about the meeting and children arrangement and I couldn't believe my ears when he said he want to support his children 100% but he want them to start staying with his sister in the house he built where his sister is staying with her family because inhave other children and he don't want me to neglect his children needs because of my other children, he want his sister to train them so I can focus on my other children . He ask to meet today and he want me to give the children to his sister this Sunday he will do everything for them. I didn't want to be rude and I told him I will think about it and will give the answer today when we meet. Which will never happen I will not give them away , the same sister that haven't bother to look for them for 9 years and why would I give her my children for. I have blocked him already it is not worth me wasting my time with them.

God ended covenant with Israel Jeremiah 3:6-8 and said if she returns he would take her back if she repents Jeremiah 3: 11 -13.

Jews are under the law of the Torah. Neither Abraham or David was a Christian. They were JEWS and they were NOT leaders IN CHURCH. The law of Christ is only for believers.

1. In Nigeria there is separation of church and state. There is NO law in the constitution in Nigeria that dictates the type of person who should head a church/ church departments. Since there is no law of the land /constitution concerning the headship of a church/church departments in Nigeria, we are bound to the law of Christ/the church. In some countries you cannot build a church - as long as the state forbids it, as Christians no need to make a fracas, do your evangelism and stick to your house fellowships.

If there is No law in a land concerning an issue, use the law of Christ
If there is a law in the land negating the law of Christ, use the law of Christ eg some communities have laws about wife swapping. It negates the law of Christ.
If there is a law in the land that neither negates/ nor agrees with the law of Christ use the law of the land. If the tax states to pay tax (it neither negates/agrees with Christ) pay the tax. If you are in a place where tax is not paid, why would you pay tax?

In Matt 28:5-8 and Luke 20:17 because there was no "law of Corinth" Jesus in Luke and an angel in Matt instruct Mary Magdalene (a woman) to go and teach and preach to the brethren.
Jesus/ The angels did not ask Mary Magdalene to look for a male figure to tell, who can then relay the resurrection message to his brethren. He asked her to go herself.
From this we see that Mary was the first human who got the message of the great commission.

Was Abraham a leader in church? Was David a leader in church. These men were JEWS and not Christians. What part of 1 Tim 3:2 do you find confusing. A man can take a second wife but he cannot be a leader/ overseer of anything in church.
If you have a different interpretation of 1st Timothy 3 explain it, so we can learn.
Please as believers we must accept the word as it is or walk away from Christianity. There is nothing to twist in the bible. God is not an author of confusion
