GboyegaD:No wonder u were able to work out the time the Governor was arrested... I saw some of the Batch A pictures, it was clean.. u guys were on a clean soil looking like people that came to serve the nation... But in our own case, it was as if we came to clean after u guys.. ... Our pictures were very humbling ![]() There was nothing like sitting outside after the parade... Abi u wan sit on top of a mud when your body was already wet..? Some cheeky boys who didn't want to parade will go and sleep on another person's mattress, the army will come and empty bucket of water on that mattress thinking it was theres... I didn't join any organisation except that as a Christian, I have to pray on Sunday and I attended the camp fellowship... I remembered a song they they taught us Called ajuwaya praise the Lord it was funny and catchy as well..The Okolobiri copper's lodge then was one of the best.. everything was there.. I can't say how it was now . But then it was brand new.. it's really nice hearing from u buddy... |
GboyegaD:That's correct...Okolobiri |
GboyegaD:I served in Bayelsa state as well more than 2 decades ago.. as a matter of fact we were in the camp 2 days when the report came that the then governor was arrested for money laundering...so do the mathematics.... But..... Hmmmm...I will never wish my enemies to serve in that state during my period of service... things may have improved now.. But Up till now, if anyone should ask the worst things that has ever happened to me, I will say serving in that state.. The Kayama camp was a nightmare..It was during the middle of rainy season... everyone bought extra rubber boots for navigation.. we did not use the kits provided by the federal government... Because u will definitely fall if u wear that because of the slippery nature of the place... One thing about our camp was there was no "AJe- butter" every one was covered with mud... I remembered our passing out parades rehearsal held in Yanagua, my friend was asking us where those beautiful Corp members came from? If they Were really at Kayama camp those days with us.. Because they were looking clean and lovely.. My brother, the idea of parading under the rain constantly or in the middle of a thunder storm was not fun...The horrible smell of wet socks in the that hostel for 3 weeks deserves a therapy section.., the smelling wet clothes.. chaiii!!!... What about the network services after we came out of the camp.. I don't wanna go there... On how we climbed on chairs to receive calls, hang out our phones on a tree branches to receive network.. place our phones on a strategic place in the room just to get 2 bars of network strength and use ear plugs to answer calls... The only nice thing then about that state was constant power supply... sometimes 24hours because they use gas turbine... As for the people, I will not say that they are bad because I didn't make out time to go and meet them... I was praying for the time to quickly pass so that I can get away... Some of my students liked me then but a lot feel I was snobbish and unapproachable... U see, I see my NYSC days as punishment..I am happy to see someone that was happy serving in that state... It shows that things has improved.. |
I will encourage it... I will like to know whom my daughter is befriending instead of her doing it behind my back... That's after her mother must have told her how to say NO and be firm about it... I on the other hand will teach her when the boys were lying to her... The 'if u truly love me then show me' blackmail... The 'u were the only one I think about when I'm about to sleep and the moment I woke up' sermon...She should run away immediately she hears stuffs like that or related to it... The game is still the game but different players.. ![]() |
I like u already OP... But I want to ask you some questions... 1. When you have searched your heart and you were not wrong and u went ahead to tender the apologies, how does that make you feel? 2. Are u doing it because u think it was the right thing to do or because u have no choice (ie u don't want stress of whatever form or shape) 3. What have u thought that person by tendering an apology when he/ she was actually the one wrong... What if he/she goes about doing the same thing thinking that he/she was right and expects apologies from those people because he/she was not corrected? |
An apology letter will do just fine.. Just call her after feeding and read it to her ![]() |
I will suggest Bayelsa state but there are 80% chances that you will teach.. ![]() 97% chances that you will hate the orientation camp.. ![]() 100% chances that the locals no send u.. because u go pay house rent at high cost.. |
IJEYdiamond: ![]() The problem with some people on this forum is when someone ask a question, there's this general jumping into conclusion that what you asked was what u were doing... The idea that the person might be curious will never occur or come in to play in that person's mindset... Anyways, I'm not here to tell u I do or not..I'm here to read the fact that u got.. Oya bring it on.. it's 21st century... ![]() |
Belafonte: ![]() Try and learn to provide information that has a backup system while speaking in public buddy... to avoid situation like this... It is 21st century... Avoid beer parlour gist ![]() |
Hammyaladin:Can you provide a prove of that? |
Honestly u are totally annoying... Your very busy businesswoman mum will not leave her business to take care of your wife and the baby, the one that could create time to come and take care of your unborn baby free of charge you were thinking when she will be leaving even before her arrival... I thought they said it was only women that dislike their mother in-laws, and everything they represent...I can just imagine your thoughts and reaction assuming reverse was the case, your mum came and your wife went to her girlfriend's house to pass the night.. I just.. in short.. let me swallow my words because your unaccommodating behaviour and issues is not worth stressing ![]() |
It seems that this week is ' sexual week' on Nairaland... ![]() Every where you turn is sex related topics |
Very patriotic ![]() |
I'm guessing it's no longer a big deal because psychologically, they see it as nothing... It's just like most boys that attended a boarding school, they can disrobe or change anywhere.. to remove clothes no dey hard them... That's getting used to something... |
Budget Friendly wedding ![]() |
And what is the function of Nigerian police? ![]() I mean he received something like that, nowadays Nigerians were registering their cell phones, Simcard and what not, won't that be an easy way to track down the sender... Is reporting to the police not a good option? Or is he waiting to be a statistics |
If this is true, the whole Administration body of that institution should go back to the drawing board and double check the role and functions of University... Then they can go back and run it the way it should be ![]() |
Heatwave is not really an easy situation... Many in Nigeria won't understand because I assume we are used to that kind of temperature... That thing dey kill oyibo people easily,... The referee might not be really used to that kind of humidity ![]() |
uunwanaobong3:It's just like Manchester City playing Norwich.. it's nothing new ![]() |
dirtydiva:I like all the positive energy from Nigerians.. I hope so too... But I have learnt never to underestimate any team.. |
Just look at how that guy missed a clean opportunity...it would have been 2 for them.. |
Ezehillary:They are not that good buddy.. Egypt will defeat them.. not to talk of Nigeria ![]() |
Wow!! They are changing almost all the whole Ethiopian players |
dammywapes:Amen ![]() |
Goal number 4 ![]() |
Doyou2019:He is really Good.. I can see it now unlike the penalties they gave to him on a silver platter @ the opening game... Ethiopian did not come with their red socks... That was quite unusual ![]() |
This Abubakar is gonna be the highest goal scorer... He has scored 4 goals already in this tournament ![]() |
advanceDNA:I might be wrong but my guess is that u were not married.. that could explain your anger... Trust me, your anger is justified... I want you to understand that it was not always like that... Yes she said that to put the man off her... But OP didn't say if she was always using bad choice of words...It could be once off isolated statement.. A lot of us Including me don't have the same level of OP's tolerance.. because as I said earlier, 7months is too long...Also the idea of her going to her parents home and OP handing her a blank wide request card for her to fill in might not be a good idea.. But as long as it works for them both, it's all good. |
advanceDNA:My brother, In marriage, so many unprintable words could be said or exchanged... That is why it's a close door institution ... U can't keep scores on what u say or heard.. if not, u might keep changing women like underwear.. Even at that, what is the guarantee that the other lady will not have more acidic tongue than the other ... |
Anger will not help u achieve anything in this case...I'm guessing while your mum was battling with cancer, their might be a possibility that your dad has been sowing seeds outside... And those girls were the products.. Maybe, u should choose between yourself and your sister which one is more level headed... (obviously not u because u might end up beating someone due to anger).. ask the girls who they are and what they wanted... They might reveal something interesting to u guys and u can follow it up from there... Remember, this is not confrontation but a chat.. |
advanceDNA: ![]() I don't think he is stupid. He is a married man that wants his relationship to work irrespective of the unorthodox way he was using to achieve that..I pray it works for him...I admire his courage, sacrifice and tolerance level though... |
