Dayo and Rukayat Studied Engineering at a University in kwara State. They were both Classmates and after Five years of Studying hard, they both graduated. After graduation, Fate took them through different paths of life.

Well, Rukayat went home that night and was lost in thought. Not as if Dayo was looking bad but Dayo driving Taxi? She couldn't wrap her head around it. She Pitied him. Felt Sorry for him. If Dayo had allowed her she would have paid him and beg him to keep the change.

Little did she know that, Dayo actually has another Taxi running for him, He is a Land owner and he is planning on developing it soon. But because he was driving a Taxi, She felt Pity for him.

On the other hand, Dayo felt sorry for himself too. Before he slept that night, he remembered Rukayat, how neatly she dressed and nice she smells, "She must be earning over 300,000 Naira per month" he said to himself. He felt ashamed, He felt like a failure and he felt she was way ahead of him financially and otherwise.

Little did he know that, If Rukayat removes the transportation fare and feeding money from her monthly salary, it will take her at least 3 Months to earn what he earns monthly.

Sadly, this could be some of our reality, you measure your progress and success with that of your friends, Classmates and Relatives even with very limited information you have about them.

You think yours is worse because you look dirtier, you think yours is worse because you are not on Corporate wears, you think yours is worse because the other person acts and looks Nicer.

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo has given reason why a church belonging to popular prophet, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, known as Odumeje, was demolished.

A statement issued by Soludo’s spokesman, Christian Aburime on Thursday said the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries, owned by Odumeje was an illegal structure.

He said Odumeje was served demolition notice since April and that he did not vacate the structure.

“Following the expiration of the more than two months notice beginning from April 2022 served on developers and building owners who built several illegal structures along the waterway in Fegge and environs within Onitsha, Anambra state government has begun demolition of such structures.

“The exercise which is being carried out by a joint government task force, commenced the exercise from Bida Road by Modebe Avenue, Fegge Onitsha.

“The affected buildings include Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries, shops and other perimeter fences.

“The structures were marked since April, 2022 and all developers and building owners were served notice to remove such illegal structures,” he said.

Odumeje’s church was demolished on Thursday by a joint government taskforce.

I want to share something with you. You see women, fear them.
I dated my wife for four years before I got married to her. All through the relationship I was taking care of she and her family.

I was into crypto. So I was in money. When I got married to her, I told her I don’t want her to work until we have given birth and our child is 5 years old.

The following week came, I dropped money. School fees came and when our child stayed at home for 2 weeks because his school fees has not been paid. She was forced to pay.

House rent came. Our rent is 1.5m per annum. She said over her dead body will she pay. I just told her no problem that once they eject us out. I will rent another place and collect my child, so that she can go and stay with her family.

She was forced to pay the rent. And her account balance was now 500k. Now she wants to make peace. Her parents can’t call me because I warned her to tell her parents not to ever call me nor step their foot in my house again because when I asked her for that money, her mother and father supported their daughter.

They can’t even call me because I have blocked and deleted their number for long. I will make sure she exhaust all the money in her account. I will now give her a go ahead to go and start working for her own money.

Even if she starts working, this is how we will be sharing bills in this marriage. I have already told her that if she can’t cope, she should send me divorce papers and I will gladly sign it.

I will rather earn my money and spend it on myself than give this woman my kobo.

I started an electrical accessories shop after graduating in 2014. Due to the recession in 2016/2017 my business crashed. I started teaching in private secondary schools to bounce back. My pay then was between 15k to 20k. It was at this point that my wife was pregnant and later gave birth to our first child in 2018. There's this school that started newly last year and they were recruiting teachers. I applied because I loved their packaging and it was a place I wanted my two kids to be. So it was a case of using one stone to kill two birds. I was called for an interview and I passed it. When it was time to talk about the pay, they ask me how much I was being paid in my previous school. I sincerely told them. Then they asked me how much I want them to pay me. I simply told them that based on their packaging, I think they already have a standard salary scale for all staff. They insisted i should tell them. So I told them 40k. They asked me to mention the lowest amount that if they pay me less than that, I won't accept the offer. So I said, I won't accept if their offer is less than 25k. So they congratulated me and asked me to join other staff for resumption prayer meetings. The first month I was paid 27k. The second month, they gave me a post of examination officer and increased my pay to 30k till today. Others were paid between 25k to 30k depending on qualifications and duties in school. The highest paid are the administrator, principal and headteacher ( head of primary).
So by January a guy who teaches music and physics came to resign. Resign being that he has been offered 45k to teach music alone in another school for just 2days in a week. Our director persuaded him not to leave and promised to increased his salary. Meanwhile this guy is an ND holder of EEE who was earning 30k along side me. The guy didn't leave and I wondered why? I have a degree in EEE and I teach Maths and technical drawing. I organise free maths class for this students every weekend from primary to secondary. I do this with my team without being paid. Two months ago while I was in school on Saturday for the free maths class, I had all the office keys with me and I stormed into the administrator's staff payments voucher. To my surprise, this said guy started collecting 45k right from January. It was so painful. Nobody knew. I told my colleagues and they were also pained. We had to stop the free class after that day. They management asked me why? didn't give them replies. Please should I confront them to ask them why I, a degree holder, a Mathematics teacher, Examination officer and coordinator of Free mathematics classes, should be paid 30k. While an ND holder should earn 45k. Though there's no money in the school, we've not been paid for two months now. So is this the right time to ask for salary increment? Thanks

First of, you must always remember that this is Nigeria. Most employers want to use you and pay less..Going forward, you must learn to always increase ur price to your desired figure when asked such question in an interview and you stand by it strongly. Your benchmark of 25k was poor and so you were rated based on 25k..thats the leverage the music teacher had over you.

Girls are really not so bad. Yes many of them have attitude issues and bad personalities but the truth is every girl have genuine kindness and goodness in her but they hardly show it because they DONT like you!
