OKEMKPI: If I have any need to spend a night in a hotel in ogun state,I will rather look for any nearby church that is having thier night vigil and join them. I cannot forget my NYSC experience in Ijebu Omu in ogun state in 2000. Went to my place of primary assignment at Govt college Ketu in Epe LGA. The school was not in session and because it was getting late,I cannot get a vehicle back to Lagos. I was directed to a polytechnic in a nebouring village Ijebu Omu which is in ogun state which I later discovered to be on vacation too. A villager volunteered to assist me being corper in uniform which also clearly indicated that I am a stranger and took me to a nearby hotel for lodging in that village. On arrival to the so called hotel which looks more like a village square meeting point.it was like a grave yard,local Yoruba music was playing in the reception/bar but no single soul . While we were calling the barman or receptionist to come and attend to me,I saw a giangantic picture of the owner of the hotel in his ogboni fratanity regalia positioned at the bar. My blood freezed & that was how I cancelled my intention to lodge. My only option was to follow the good Samaritan villager to his family house where I passed the night. Mind u by then no mobile phone yet. In this community,it is strange not to see a shrine or idol in almost any compound u enter. Anyway,I thank God for my life. NYSC experience in Govt college ketu in Epe LGA,1999/2000 batch B was an unforgettable experience.

So when our football team fails to qualify for the world cup, and there's a pitch invasion and destruction of property, it has little to do with football.

Video clips from the terror attack on a Kaduna-bound train on Monday have started emerging.
Many of them are very distressful and depicted the extent of the violence unleashed on the passenger service by the armed bandits.
One of the clips (below) showed a woman in braids still strapped to her seat with her head slumped. She was apparently killed by some of the bullets sprayed on the coaches.
Shattered glass all over a seat in a coach Another clip (also below) shows the full extent of the damage on Coach 4 of the passenger service. The coach was believed to have taken the full hit of the explosive device planted on the track by the armed bandits.
The video shows jagged iron, tumbled chairs and blown out upholstery of the interior of the coach. Those seated in the coach would be lucky to be alive.
Eight persons were reportedly killed by members of the Eiye and Aiye cult groups in Sagamu area of Ogun state between Sunday and Monday morning, Reports.
It will be recalled that about seven persons were killed in Abeokuta in the last one week, over supremacy battle between the rival cult groups.
A source informed that the suspected cultists stormed the town and went after their targets.
It was gathered by , that some bodies were picked up by the police and family members at the spots they were killed.

A technician identified as Akeem was reported to have been killed around 7.00 am on Monday March 28.
