Any serious and experienced politician knows better than to mistake the soothing words of most Royal Fathers and co for an endorsement or reverence. |
Only discerning and sagacious people, especially politicians among them from the South East, will understand and appreciate OUK's stance. |
candidtalk:Lol, my guy! See, all these tribal, ethnocentric, and discriminatory nonsensical things ought not to be allowed to continue to exist anywhere in our political space in particular and existence in general. A simple change of mindset and embrace of strong ethical leanings will do the magic because the core of our national problem is a fundamental problem, and it can easily be solved. Politics of principle and conviction should always be allowed to take precedence over politics of expediency and sentiment. Once that is done, you'll see how the country will experience rapid growth in all facets. Stay safe and blessed! |
candidtalk:You're an embodiment of low IQ in particular and small-mindedness in general. Before I go on, I'm not given to ethnic slurs, but it's always hard ignoring small-minded elements like all the time. Below is why you are among the worst of your kind: Low IQ couple with greed: contrary to your wailing and ranting, a typical Igboman is consistent but definitely not docile, but because of your low IQ, you have not been able to differentiate the two; therefore, you have mistaken necessity - as being exhibited by OUK under the circumstance - for inconsistency, forgotten that it's the inherent greed you and your likes have put up all this while that made him take his stance. You expect a usual consistent man to be docile while you strive to trample of his right - quit being dumb and sententious at the same time. Like I said in a thread the other day, the most annoying thing about a small-minded element like you from the South West in that despite all the atrocities (ritual killings, greed for power and money, treachery, etc) that is being perpetrated by you lots on a minute basis in full glare, you won't still stop giving an impression that you're morally and intellectually better than the Igbos in particular and all the people from other tribes in general. You and your small-minded elements ilks who have always mistaken disingenuousness and perfidy for cleverness; servility for wisdom and civility; sententiousness for justness, etc, can't be taken seriously by any sane person. I hope, though, that you'll look for small-minded elements like you elsewhere to bicker words with; else, if I vex, I'll make sure I descend heavily on you. Bumpkin! |
Considering the current state of naira, foodstuffs are obviously cheap in the country since you could buy this 2,000 naira. |
Chastising yourself as you've done is good and that is the only part you can play alone to nip the ugly occurrence in the bud; refraining from the same action will be better but it requires collective conscious decision and efforts from you and her to bring the desire to fruition; and wrecking yourself shouldn't be an option - neither wreck yourself nor allow anyone to wreck you - else, you will become desolate perpetually. Since action breeds reaction, it behooves on the two of you to sit up by striving to be of considerate behaviours towards each other in the union. Abuse, just like force, isn't always about physical; therefore, no to any form of abuse. |

https://www.nairaland.com/6633068/twin-sisters-impregnated-mothers-fiance Do refer to the link above; that's where the photos in this your fictitious news were once used here. It's always both funny and irritating whenever I see someone like you with an obvious single-digit IQ thinks that everyone on this forum is as mentally parochial as you and your likes are; bumpkin. |
toujurs:Keep quiet, bumpkin! It smacks of idiocy throwing all the women from Abia State in the mud simply because a few of them broke your heart. Stop the generalization . |
Jamesbally:Bumpkin, keep quiet. Small-minded elements like you can never stop spreading fake news about the East. For a record, the accompany photos on this fictitious news that can only appear true to a bumpkin like you were sourced from the assumed story of a man that impregnated his fiancee's twins daughters many months ago. |
Your progress post the incidence - as commendable as it is - neither makes the punishment given to you by the concerned authorities nor the people that chastised you for erring evil. So, there is no need being spiteful towards them. |
Dapson73:Don't mistake me for the bumpkins that brought you into this world; else, I'll descend heavily on you. Now, scram and direct your further mention to small-minded elements like you. Product and personification of bumpkin! |
cococandy:I can see that you've lost your good manners; if I send you an e-slap now it'll seem like I like oppressing little people. |
baby124:Some people have always achieved self-realization before the age of 4; others do achieve it before the age of 15; while most don't even achieve it at 100 or in their lifetime. So, it's not surprising that some women within her age range have been marrying, living decorous life and enjoying their marriage in peace while she's being applauded for being unscrupulous by her clones that are advanced in age married and unmarried. And no, most teenage women - like most women in general, regardless of age - don't voluntarily and necessarily get married to their age mates; instead, they do get married to men who have what they cherish, which in most cases is money, and they have been known to be free with their men in such arrangements, provided that the object of attraction is constant. Happiness, which responds to contentment, is one thing that can't be assured and it isn't an unscrupulous woman, or man, forte. Meanwhile, given that 99 percent of women have been established to have wittingly lost their virginities before the age of 10, doing so mostly to men who're 30 years and above, I don't see the reason why she would genuinely equate copulation with her husband, who by his submissions here doesn't seem to be above 25, to assault just because she simply changed from single to married. On the other hand, the cause of high rate of divorce that is assumingly associated with early marriage has to do with the women involved cashing out - and that is traceable to lack of contentment. Of course, contentment or lack of it knows no gender. For more information, a marriage such as Regina Daniel and Ned Nwoko's own can be a good case study for you! |
baby124:Your submission is full of assumptions and misinformation. Going by your analogy, teenage is equal to unscrupulousness, which isn't true. Their hormones being at its highest and the impulse of exploring don't negate decorum, and one's social stratum hasn't been known as the core determinant of their ethical leanings. Meanwhile, reality has shown that some women have always gotten married within her age range voluntarily and have always counted their decisions as the best as they progress in the journey, while giving their best and enjoying every moment of it. More so, it's not a new thing to see an affluent family marries out their daughter at the age of 15, although this isn't prevalent in most Southern States in Nigeria. I don't hold a brief for the OP, don't encourage underage marriage, and might not be into teenage girls; yet, I'm being realistic. |
Wisdom isn't for anyone void of knowledge. Unfortunately, it's very easy for someone like you who is void of knowledge to equate foolishness to wisdom. Reno's foolishness knows no bounds; funnily, he has comrades in foolishness in multitude and they even abound on this forum and will feast on this thread directly or indirectly. He and his likes should quit always exhibiting sententious, conceited, disingenuous, and hypocritical attitudes. Igbos this! Igbos that!! The fact that some of us Igbo elites don't identify with IPOB or approve of some of their tactics doesn't automatically make their agitation and ideology unreasonable. |
You're being played by her and her relatives; unfortunately, you're obviously stuck with Stockholm Syndrome. And her unscrupulousness doesn't stem from the fact that she was underage when you married her - as disgusting as that might be - rather it stems from the fact that she is from weak ethical leanings. So, even if you were to marry her clone that is advanced in age, she'll still be exhibiting the same unscrupulous attitude, albeit in a more cunning manner. Those who're striving hard to shame you in the guise that she's misbehaving because of her age are simply being either naive or disingenuous (I wager it's the latter) and the reason for their actions isn't far-fetched. There are still women of her age or lesser and marital status that are scrupulous. |
The most annoying thing about all these atrocities being perpetrated in the South West by my beloved Yoruba people every second is that they won't still stop putting up the impression that they're morally and intellectually better than the Igbos in particular and all the people from other tribes in general. |
The part that caught my attention is where you mentioned the usual laughable phrase of Igbos being called "naive" politically by most ignorant and wannabe wise political commentators from different parts of the country, especially those on this platform. Don't tell me that you do take people with such myopic thought seriously. For the record, the Igbos have never been politically naive. That they aren't well-represented in the executive arm of the current dispensation doesn't automatically make them so. This dispensation - not republic - aside, they have always gotten fair share of their place in the Nigeria political equation; they were more visible in the first republic government than any other zone from the South; the same as in the second republic; in the third republic when pushed, after the IBB government banned political exposed people like Nzeribe, Iwuanyawu, Ekwueme from emerging the presidential candidates of their respective and prospective parties which made it possible for political neophytes like MKO Abiola and Tofa to later enter the race to grab the SDP and NRC tickets in the 1993 presidential election, they scuttled it via Nzeribe's ABN. Of course, at the inception of this fourth republic, in fact until the present dispensation in this fourth republic, they have been active players. So, when ignorant and mischievous people say the Igbos don't know how to play national politics, I laugh hard at their foolishness. The inability of an Igboman of the South East geopolitical zone to emerge the president of Nigeria yet isn't because of political naivety or lack of wherewithal of any form from politicians from the zone, but because of feeble-mindedness and small-mindedness in general of the majority of the voters from other zones, which is traceable to a fundamental issue. |
Always be cautious of any man (or woman) that always urges you on when doing something wrong or in your moment of weakness. A servile ally isn't any better than an unjust brute. |
OP, it will be very easy for almost everyone to crucify you for making an underaged woman a wife, and rightly so in almost all facets, but that won't take away the hypocrisy from almost all of your critics too since one can easily wager that 99% might have been fornicating even before they reached the age of 10 and are even doing worst while either unmarried or married. |
Good thinking. Of course, you need to inform your uncles and secure their consent, and also make sure that your action is coming from the place of altruism, making the same lucid to them, because renovating it won't confer you the right of ownership or authority over your uncles. Meanwhile, in case you haven't carried out a building project, or any money gulping project before, kindly eschew the idea of assuming that you've the money to get it done without first getting a rough estimated cost of getting it done in time from a professional; else, you'll leave the house and uncles worse than they are presently. |
That's a good gesture, even though it doesn't still make Christianity any better than Islam. Religion of any type doesn't mean well for mankind - that, however, doesn't make atheism an option. |
In an instance like this, your best bet is to build a mental connection - which is better, healthier and more lasting than an emotional connection - with her. Mental transmutation. The first step towards realizing this is by consciously embracing a sense of fairness; the fact that she has not wittingly done anything spitefully to destroy whatever you hold dear, citing your submission, will make it easier for you. You can get this done by magnifying one single attribute she possesses; gradually and subconsciously, a mutual mental connection will take place and you will begin to see her as the best thing that has ever happened to you. |
A woman you ought to have been sending on emotional and psychological assignments through third-party fictitious allegations at least every six months the very moment you observed that she is not submissive to you in particular and objective in general. If you were doing that, she would have been so engrossed with the thoughts of succeeding in her studies, battling to extricate herself from the shame of an act she didn't commit and gaining your favourable approval on each new interval that she would not have had the courage and any form of standing to place the words of any religious or outside figure above yours or disrespect you. |
Toks2008:Wisdom isn't for anyone void of knowledge. Unfortunately, it's very easy for someone like you who is void of knowledge to equate foolishness to wisdom. Quit always exhibiting sententious, conceited, disingenuous, and hypocritical attitudes. |
FlyingKing:You and your likes do not only have low IQs but are also disingenuously pernicious. You want Kalu and every other presidential aspirant of the South East zone to forge on with their aspirations even when the sincere blinds can feel the vibe that the majority of the voters and their benefactors, who aren't from the South East, aren't disposed to electing a Nigeria president of South East extraction due to fundamental sentiments in particular and politics of expediency over principle in practice in the country in general, and not because of lack of political sagacity and wherewithal from the aspirants from the zone. Kalu's stance is a wise one under the present circumstances. |
Sergio104:There are and I stated so too, but being better or worse than others does not stem from where they were born or reside. Instead, it is subject to each of the individual's ethical leanings. |
There's no way a woman's inclination to equality/egalitarianism can automatically make her a bad person. Instead, a woman's inclination to equality always bring the real and best of her, if she has good upbringing in particular and character in general; thus, the kind of woman any man that has a philosophy that is rooted in justice and fairness and values a mutually healthy relationship will always go into a relationship with. The hallmark of such woman is her disposition to expressiveness and strive for justness. And she could be born, raised, or found anywhere. A woman that has a poor upbringing, poor character, and is inclined to equality is the type that is bad, regardless of where she was born, raised, and found; and she is as bad as those disingenuous, pretentious, and unexpressive ones that always gloss their true evil natures with some servile attitudes - the types most of you have always mistaken for submissive women. Any man that has a philosophy that is rooted in justice and fairness will understand the fact that real and enjoyable submission from a woman is the type that comes from a woman who has truly emancipated because her acts of selflessness and deference, where and when necessary, always come wittingly and voluntarily not from fear and/or ignorance. |
Sharatan:Some of you have taken the misinformation and misappropriation of ruggedness to all White ladies too far. The true fact is that some of them have always indulged men who cheat on them just like some women from other races have always done too. Of course, some of them do cheat on some men who indulge them too. Just as some women (or men) differ by races, so also they differ in temperament in particular and character in general despite being of the same gender. I'm in no way, however, rationalizing cheating or any form of nonsense. Congrats to them. |
manuel0523:Wisdom isn't for anyone void of knowledge. Unfortunately, it's very easy for anyone void of knowledge to equate foolishness to wisdom. Head of the house: The hallmark of a sane head of the house lies in his ability to always make sound judgment, judgment devoid of self-absorption and self-aggrandizement, and having the ability to have his wife volitionally and cheerfully defer to him where and when necessary; anything to the contrary means that he is an oppressor in particular and small-minded in general. |
