Without taking anything away from his accomplishments, I have always known that he is not as sagacious as his undiscerning followers and some other people have alway presented him to be. In fact, even with his shortcomings in this regard, I had expected him to know long ago that his mentioned beneficiaries have always been his frenemies.

The relationship he had with his frenemy beneficiaries is akin to that of an oppressive husband on money who always mistakes his ruthless poor wife's servility for submissiveness until he loses his financial muscle and the wife becomes financially independent and shows her true colors.

In other words, what has played out now is a case of an overlord vs his disingenuous beneficiaries who have achieved independence.
