Chelsea fans should blame terry 4 dd's sending off.earlier in d game man utd had d ball in a good position,a player was down injured and they put d ball out of play.when chelsea were supposed to give d ball bak they kicked it out 4 a throwing deep in man utd's half instead of kicking it out 4 a goal kick or to vds.no man utd player went berserk.fast foward to extra time and tevez gives em a taste of their own medicine and jt goes coo coo and confronts tevez which leads to the melee.terry is a disgrace!

the gist is yet to be confirmed
well it depends on what you mean by 'the gist'. . . ben arfa himself told l'equipe negotiations have begun.the only 'yet to be confirmed' part is the price tag.and ofcourse he might still decide not to join arsenal.the only thing certain is that the negotiations have begun. wink
SportsRe: Larsson Slams 'idiotic' Wenger by ritchboy(op): 12:39am On May 13, 2008
I think Larsson should concentrate on carving a name for himself. He needs to improve his football
he's actually improved a lot this season.and he's carving curling a name for himself alright,he's becoming the new david beckham wid the way he bends those free kicks into the top corner cheesy (i believe only ronaldo scored more set pieces than he did this season).

I can't see him improving in Coca Cola championship
that part i agree with, he's become a premiership quality player and i believe a premiership club will sign him.

Seb Larsson is proud to be back where mediocres like him belong . . . drinking coke.
grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by ritchboy(m): 12:23am On May 13, 2008
ben arfa has confirmed he's holding talks with arsenal about a possible move(rumoured to be in the region of 13 million pounds).
13 million is a fair tag for a player of his age/calibre/potential.but shouldnt AW be signing a right winger instead?(not that i have any objections).
hleb is 100 times better through the middle, walcott is unpredictable(brilliant today, well, we all know what happens tomorow), and eboue is SHIT as a winger(still an exceptional rb IMO).

Dear Muki, kiss
i dont even know how to put this, so, what tha hell. . .
I FEEL LIKE KNOCKING YOU OUT WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER EACH TIME A THREAD THAT PROMISES AN INTERESTING DEBATE IS ENDED WITH YOU GIVING A LINK TO THE CLUB THE SUBJECT IS RELATED TO angry grin
ofcourse, some threads deserve to be ended(i.e a thread like "arsenal want martins"wink, but just cos the subject CAN be discussed on the main thread of the club in question doesnt mean it MUST(how can there be a lengthy debate about a specfic issue on the main thread when so many other things go on @ the club the debate is blatantly interrupted huh )
and equally annoying is the fact that you dont even delete the threads, theyre just left there to occupy space!

P.S. you might as well strip all users of their "thread creating abilities" since 99% of all topics are related to man utd/ arsenal/ chelsea/ liverpool and there are already exsisting threads for them. tongue

how come mourinho could not play the UCL finals with this same team
are u insinuating grant is a better manager than mourinho? huh shocked
dont get it twisted, mourinho NEVER had this much quality at his disposal in the later stages of the ucl.even cech said this current chelsea squad is the best theyve EVER had.besides, mourinho didnt get much luck in the ucl draws en route to the semis. 06/07- porto/valencia.05/06- barca(the best team on the planet at the time and eventual winners),04/05- barca, bayern.who did grant face? craplympiakos and fernercrapche grin.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by ritchboy(m): 10:47pm On May 08, 2008
well assuming no one else leaves, all we need is a QUALITY winger(someone capable of playing on either flank would be ideal), a QUALITY holding midfielder, and a QUALITY striker.another cb might seem a good idea now but since neither toure nor gallas would be leaving, he(whoever 'he' is) might just end up destabilizing the squad. but then again a QUALITY cb in the mould of vidic or terry could well solve our defensive problems.rio/vidic and terry/carvalho are the best central defensive pairings in the league because they complement each other(ones a hardman who is dominant in the air and the other is pacey and comfortable with the ball at his feet), with toure and gallas, its like having two left feet!
QUALITY winger- well if we're to believe the reports arsenal are currently the favourites to sign ben-arfa(that is if he decides to leave france).he would be perfect.
QUALITY holding midfielder- makoun, arsenal are also favourites to sign him.he should fit in nicely.
QUALITY striker- david villa has stated publicly he would fancy a move to arsenal.but with many other top clubs in the mix, he'd prolly cost a lot, and i don't see wenger breaking the benk for him.and with rvp likely to be out injured for large parts of next season, bendtner not being good enough to start, and eduardo still some way off full fitness, we'll need a striker to partner ade.who? i don't really know.
SportsRe: UEFA Cup: Zenit St. Petersburg Thrash Bayern 4 - 0 by ritchboy(m): 10:13pm On May 08, 2008
ofcourse, man utd were lucky to win the ucl in 99(even luckier than 'pool).
most times in cup football, u need a little bit of luck to succeed.not so in league football.
which is why i always tell u the epl is harder to win than the ucl.
SportsRe: Premiership Coach Of The Season ( Who Deserve The Award) by ritchboy(m): 9:57pm On May 08, 2008
avram grant?coach of the season? shocked and sidwell should be the player of the season grin
so cos he got to the cl final(he hasnt even won it) we should forget all the stupid decisions/substitutions he's made?(his last two games against spurs come to mind).
chelsea have a great squad(arguably the best in the world).a club where cudicini is the second choice keeper, belleti/ferriera are 2nd/3rd choice right backs, alex is a 2nd choice center back, wayne bridge is a second choice left back, essien/mikel are 2nd choice midfielders(the former has settled for rb), malouda/anelka/swp/shevchenko are 2nd or 3rd choice fowards(these are all world class or very good players), and the likes of sidwell, pizarro, ben haim are virtually reserve players.ma great grand momma could manage chelsea and get the results. grin

all tkb said was that benitez was lucky to have won the ucl in 05.
and hes right, BENITEZ/LIVERPOOL WERE LUCKY TO BEAT AC MILAN.
bar one 15 minute spell of madness. . . ac milan completely dominated the game from start to finish and created more/better chances.

Jackal
So sagna shouldnt be on the list cos he missed d champions league quaters?(i wonder if palacios, defoe et al played in d cl quaters huh )
Ur logic becomes even more ridiculous when u cosider d fact dat some of d players on d list only started playing in january and have missed much more of the epl season than sagna.
Stop being such a 'tard and acknowledge d fact dat sagna has definitely been among the 3 best buys this season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by ritchboy(m): 12:49pm On May 08, 2008
According to jackal sagna isnt among the top 10 signings this season cos he missed about 10% of the season. :-D
That has to b d most ridiculous list i've ever seen(prolly compiled by a retarded man utd fan).
P.S the sun are SHIT(home&abroad).
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Who Is The Best Buy In The English Premier League This Season? by ritchboy(m): 6:36am On May 03, 2008
Sagna's injury has robbed him off his good ethics this season.
huh the less said about that statement the better.

The best buys are . . . .Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez, Anderson, Torres, Yakubu and Zarate.
santa cruz - he's been very good but just falls short

tevez - we both know the only reason u picked him wink

anderson - if he had reproduced his early season form in the second half/last third of the campaign he woulda been a strong contender, but like elano, fabregas<although he recovered from his dip> etc he seems to have caught the "second half virus". . . in other words, he's been shit of late. grin

torres - he's been the best striker this season, and along with sagna is the only "newbie" who made the pfa team.and i agree, its a two way battle btw sagna and torres for the best signing this season. and when their price tags are taken into consideration(afterall the topic says "best buy"wink, i'll have to give it to sagna.

yak - like santa cruz, he's been very good but just hasnt done enough to merit the award.

zarate - shocked grin funny how u put a player who only started playing in january on ur list.even more hilarious is how quickly you contradict thy-self

Sagna's injury has robbed him off his good ethics this season.
grin grin grin

@ jackal/akinalabi

i think suggesting wenger would intentionally not spend just so he'll have an 'excuse' if arsenal dont do well is ridiculous.wenger, like all other managers, wants to WIN.and like other managers, he has his own philosophy("i dont need to spend big to WIN"wink, whether its right or wrong is another issue entirely.

make it fanciful, please the crowd and no one would worry about trophies.
no one would ask for trophies  grin
half of arsenal fans are already asking for his head. cheesy
personally, i'm giving him one more season(i believe all clubs go tru dry spells, afterall real madrids galacticos didnt win zilch for three seasons, barca and 'pool havnt won anything for two seasons<same as arsenal when u consider the fact that we can still mathematically win the league grin >wink.if arsenal dont win a trophy next season, i'll be sending a HITMAN. grin

For me though, the tie has under performed greatly  for both legs, very little goal mouth action and very little brilliance on display. So much for the 'mouth watering Barca-MU clash'. . .it petered out like a tepid, lukewarm cup of 3 day old tea
what game(s) were u watching?  grin  messi's individual brilliance alone particularly in todays game was phenomenal.dude has to be considered the best dribbler in the game(CR could learn one or two things from him)  grin

Here's hoping Liverpool and Chelski can give a better advertisement for the game at its highest level.
not a snowball's chance in hell!  cheesy grin cheesy grin

So how come the top 4 is always constant unlike anywhere else in Europe. Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, liverpool season after season. Is that what you call a competitive league?
ermm, arsenal chelsea liverpool man utd have only finished as the top four for two consecutive seasons(05/06 & 06/07) at most in the history of the epl so what are u on about?
