I need me some Porsche Panamera turbo, that's the only toy I admire there. |
SemuhleB:I have to admit that I've come across where denizens of both countries derides each other a few times but not as exuberant and rife like you put it. Even then, if you examine the people behind the strife you'd agree with me that they're stolid and mentally weak so they feel the need to give their pathetic lives a lift by deriding others. So why should one bother about moronic individuals when there are better things and people to read from? |
I haven't noticed what you're talking about and I'm an active user here. Perhaps, they're only being defensive when their country is lampooned first? |
False. Women do watch porn too. They aren't vocal about it as the men for obvious reasons. |
Only those who revel in superstition and hobgoblin will believe this. There's no such as spiritual transmitted disease. |
If the only thing your woman offers you in a relationship is sex then definitely you lack the refinement and elegance to attract a real woman. Myself and friends have girlfriends who offers us priceless guidiance, companionship, and undiluted affection. Look inwards introspectively and make the necessary changes to enable you attract exquisite women and stop humming. |
dovelike:Why should a lady not ask his man money? I mean someone they hold dear for money if the need arises and it's tenable? Nothing wrong in asking a genuine lover for money if we think they can be of assistance and if our reasons are grounded. And unlike the usual slyness most ladies employ to indirectly solicit for assistance I think men prefer they come straightforward and tell what they want unreservedly. Not beating about the bush. My initial comment was addressing where you insinuated a lady can't ask someone they love money and which is false. Not the OP's swindler of a friend. |
missKiffy:The OP need to look inwards and have an introspective thinking of his ability to attract classless, shameless and poor girls. If I happen to have the contact of such a lady on my contacts or any of my social networking I'd take responsibility for my poor indiscretion. The blame is on him really. We only attract our likes afterall. |
dovelike:Misconception. A lady can ask a guy she truly cherish for monetary assistance and likewise guys too. But it should be justifiable and not this display of banditry and lack of shame by this lady. |
Many guys are asking you out and so what's the problem? |
Leriebloom:Hmmm he wasn't too forward then. He did no wrong for complimenting you and asking for your contacts. You too, did nothing wrong by rejecting his advances. It was just a normal case of a guy asking a girl out which happens all the time. Only difference is you weren't interested. But we can't just conclude he had sinister motives as there are no grounds to corroborate any hidden intentions. Little acts of kindness attract us to people at times and which could lead us to want to know them better. And if it leads to a relationship then why not? There are no rules as to where and how we meet people for the first time. |
martineverest:Prof. Sagay goofed bruv. As a constitutional and seasonal lawyer he should have known that the recent agitation for Biafra doesn't reflect the larger population of Igbos. Nnamdi Kanu and his clandestine radio outfit has been in operation long before Buhari became president and the recent Biafra protest is mainly to seek for his release. There could still have been protest if he was incarcerated by GEJ. I'm not holding brief for the injudicious protesters but they represent only a little fraction of Igbos and shouldn't be a criterion or touchstone to imply that Ndi Igbo as a people are antagonistic towards Buhari coz they lost out in crucial portfolio in his government. What Prof. Sagay imputation means is that, Buhari intentionally sidelined Igbos from his government, for whatever reasons, and suggesting that mr. President is against national cohesion, he's a factional leader and sowing the seed of division in a country that should be united. I'm sure and want to believe Buhari doesn't share his view. |
Leriebloom:You might not have got it all wrong though. Depending on how forward he was should determine your reaction and impression of him. Permit me to ask, did he make entries for a relationship on the spot or asked for your number? |
First date are usually the most apprehensive and could be a catalyst on the outcome of/if there will be a relationship. You've to be calm, collective and know when to talk and clam. You're interested in getting to know this person right? So ask her questions about her interest, aspirations and life targets. You could start by asking questions about their favourite music, movies and books etc. You should be able to know the next question to ask after each response. Don't ask about her past relationship, ex etc, that's a date killer. A question like what have you been doing this week should be an ice breaker to kickstart the conversation after the normal salutations. Remember to compliment her dress, as it must have took her ages to prepare and think of what to wear for the date. Don't say stuff like you look hot or sexy, beautiful would suffice. There's no rule as to what to ask and whatnot, just ensure its within common sense and not offensive. Don't plan on what to ask before setting out on the date to avoid floundering, just let it flow naturally. Be spontaneous and you've to make it interesting as much as you can. Ask her about her family and who she's more closest to and why. Also know when to discuss about yourself even if she didn't ask. This thing has no format mate. Just let it flow as the spirit leads. |
It appears to me that Prof. Sagay is prepared to dance ashilogu in the market square. For a reputable lawyer like Sagay to make unfounded imputations against the Igbo ethnic group is worrisome to say the least. Perhaps, old age might be having it toll on the prof but may I remind him that the recent agitation for a Biafran state and their demands doesn't reflect the voice of the hoi polloi of Ndi Igbo. To allege that the recent agitation of Biafra by some misguided youths is as a result of Igbos losing out on Buhari's kitchen cabinet is akin to saying the entire Igbo people are haters of Buhari and didn't vote for him. This we know is false. Prof. Sagay may be trying to warm his way into the presidents heart but it shouldn't be at the detriment of a people. He should be mindful of what he says lest he loses the respect and regard by learned Nigerians. |
Leriebloom:Hmmm you're just being presuppositional and aren't certain his advances was designed to take advantage of your charitable gesture. Asking you out after offsetting his tfare doesn't imply he's baleful. Has it occurred to you that your rare act of benevolent towards him, especially as a lady, might have ensnared you to his heart and his intentions were genuine? |
This should be obvious and pellucid. Masturbation it is. No drama, no risk of std and no commitment to the side chick. |
What's the reason for the lampooning exactly? That he asked you to pay his tfare or that he wooed you? Don't guys usually pay for ladies tfare without making a humming out of it ![]() |
Lobolintin:Hehe, mothers will never change. It's all for our best interest though. Not long ago an old friend of mine attended a relative function in my village at my behest and my mum treated her like one Queen Elizabeth visited to the extent that she had to ask if I had told the woman we're an item and was saying my mumsy is so nice. I was just laughing coz she doesn't know it's coz the woman want her 'poor' son to get married so she'd do everything to be nice to his to-be wifey. On a good day, she won't be that receptive. Mothers sha. |
They aren't exactly prude, it's all a facade fueled by organized religious sentiment. Never mind the puritanist character they display, they love sex like everyone else and indulges as much but religion has conditioned them to behave sanctimoniously. |
daretodiffer:Very apt. |
octopusfreaky:Hian, I don buy market o. I no know say e get thread wey my presence no suppose grace. Oh dearies, pardon moi. ![]() |
Carnations:Hehe, a sis who waits to like your girlfriend is considerate. Some got no chill and will match-make you with their girlfriends. The things we go through just coz we're bachelors though lol. ![]() |
Number 10 is the most common. Once you're an eligible bachelor any girl people see you with will be regarded as your to-be wife. Friends and family will start making intimation and side remarks of when it's the wedding, abeg invite me o lol. Make God no gree your mama see you with woman, na there wedding plans fit start. ![]() |
Mumu, go fight because of woman wey you never marry. You get lucky say them no kill you there. Woman wey another guy go continue dey gbensh if you for die in the fight. Ode. ![]() |
Life has a simple rule, which is often disregarded, raped, breached with wanton impunity. The successful people of every society are those who not only recognize this principle, but adhere to it strictly. I have come to understand in my quest for knowledge that it is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. The average man wants gifts, favours and charity. Charity is not a crime, but do not ask for charity except you have no other choice, even then, you have the choice not to ask. The ordinary Nigerian wants to live off people, his girlfriend/boyfriend, friend, brother, sister, uncle, cousin. You may be accorded this degrading and debasing opportunity once in a while, but never allow yourself to live off the benevolence of others. Man naturally is a very selfish animal, whose personal interest must come before all others. The next time anyone want someone to speedily assist them, offer them in return, something of value. You will not only get a very quick response, you will get your request obligated. Like I have read and noted, despise the free lunch. There is a price for everything, find out what it is and pay upfront. She knows the price for her request, either pay it or forget it. |
Best relationship piece I've read this year. Respect! |
petkruz:No worries darl, enjoy your relationship and no more unnecessary shakara. It does no one any good but compound evitable issues. ![]() |
StPete:True. Normally, an apartment is expected to come first before acquiring a car but circumstance are different. Depending on how sizeable one's family home is and how accommodating their parents are they might prioritise a car over an apartment. One of the reason a young man want to leave their family house is the privacy that it secures but if their privacy isn't challenged by their parents then why worry? An apartment can come later. |
akachidi:Are you from Anambra? I bu onye banyi? ![]() |
This is really good and a welcome development. The police have no right to access people's phones without any tangible recourse to do so. I remember an incident that happened to me in Festac years ago. I was making calls and on getting to a police check point these mofos stopped me and started asking silly questions. From the receipt of the car spare parts I went to buy at Ladipo to the reason I was in possession of more than one phone. Before I knew it one of them dragged my phone and started assessing it. To my utter dismay and shock the mofo opened a text message of a western union transfer a brother had made to me and said I must be a yahoo boy. With all pleading and explanation falling on deaf ears I was taking to their station in Festac. Safe for the timely intervention of a friend who was driving pass and saw when we were going to the station and followed us, I would have found myself behind bars for no reason. Did I mention we parted ways with 25K just to secure my release? These thieves are crazy. |

. Whether the giver likes it or not, he/she has lived off the benevolence of others and would continue to as long as he/she is alive therefore I refer to such people as morally bankrupt individuals. They are no different from murderers and rapists (far fetched, I know).
