freecocoa: Oga Oyb I sympathize with you and I know how it feels to be robbed cos I have been robbed too, I'm not supporting robbery please but hey this case is sensitive because these boys were not robbers, true cultists perpetrate evil but some of them are innocent, these boys got those laptops and phones from their Don's house who they went to coup, he wasn't home and they took those stuffs and left, yes they were smoking weed in an uncompleted building(almost all the young men in naija smoke weed), okay beat them, why kill them when you ain't sure they are thieves? Why not put up a trial? And if they are found guilty let the law prevail, heck they weren't even armed, its not right please. I can bet with my life that the pipo that robbed u were small boiz,(new in the robbing bizz ) pray there's no re occurrence on that robbery , they were mere apprentice when they robbed u, that's y u still come here sympathizing with the men that carry guns about terrorizing their fathers. |

please stop all this simplistic talk
how do you think they got those phones and laptops?
when i repelled the robbers, they ran to the bq in my compound, slapped my cousin around and took his laptop and phone. all the while waving the matchete that still had my blood on it.
they took the laptops and phones of one of my neighbours then debated whether to r-ape their 15 year old sister.
thats is how those laptops and phones got into the building. they did not materialize there by magic - they were taken from people by force Oga pls stop wasting ur precious time trying to convince this people to agree with u, its just like trying to carry water with a basket. Until they come back to the battle filled called naija to experience it . Again I want them to buy me a golden pistol for my protection whenever they are coming back (our safety is very important) |

Goldieluks: Who told you they are thieves?? You are here ranting about jungle rubbish justice. Cast the first stone to prove yourself void of theft, no matter how small. Am sure you'd be found wanting, and that silly pDude. Bunch of hypocrites! Babe u know what , I was once reasoning like u not until they(thieves) killed a child hood friend of mine last year, an innocent doctor that wouldn't even hurt a fly. DATE---11--11--11 A date I'll never forget in my entire life, shot him for no just reason, all because they wanted his car----even without any resistance they still went ahead to shoot him................ Fast forwarding to this year precisely May 22--2012 I was also robbed in sagamu on my way back from one of my usual trips @ denco filling station................. Went to the police station to make official complaints and guess what we were told by our so called 'police' -- that we should go to church and share it as a testimony that we weren't killed, that it was a normal occurrence along the lagos---sagamu express way. What got me pissed the most was that we even provided them with the plate nub of the car that rubbed us and they were so nonchalant about it-------plate nub-------> krd 465 ac Cut the long story short our so called police men gave us a BILL to pay if we really wanted to pursue the case, @ that point was when I really knew that Nigerians had absolutely no security protection from the govt....... But one thing I did was to firstly curse that filling station that I was robbed and the thieves that robbed me ,shuttling lagos/sagamu the week after I was robbed for my police report et.al in sagamu police station I saw that particular filling station burnt to ashes , I wasn't surprise 'cos I knew something terrible was going to happen there having already cursed the place. Again I'm sure those criminals are all dead by now, if not then certainly b4 december 31st 2012, NOBODY HURTS ME UNJUSTLY AND GETS AWAY WItH IT. |

ItsModella: Nothing, absolutely nothing justifies taking the life of another person. Nothing makes the villagers less guilty than the criminals they killed. Two wrongs cannot make a right. Imagine punishing a murderer with murder. Killing a person whether good or bad is archaic, barbaric and draconian. What else can I say, this is just a result of the failed justice system in Nigeria. page9: Now, after graduating from the school in 1996/1997, i served in Adamawa state, shelleng local govt to be precise. I don't know as of now but then, there was no electricity in the entire local govt and trucks only come to the village once a week on market day usually every friday. Hope things have change now. I wanted to go into foodstuffs biz like beans, maize, etc then but the structure and distance discouraged me after due diligence was conducted.
I got a job with a computer firm in Ilupeju, right from when i was given the employment letter, i knew i was not going to stay long. But i was willing to learn from my boss and wait for my breaktbrough opportunity to come. I was also reading every book on business that i could lay my hands on including Think and Grow Rich, how to win and influence people, "Rich dad Poor dad" by Robert Kiyosaki.
After reading the "Rich dad Poor dad" my mind was made up to start my biz but like most employees, the fear of unknown wouldn't let me. Then i was earning a monthly salary of N13, 500 while my contemporaries were earning N70k and above. I was notbothered becausei knew i was iworking to learn and not to earn.
After much reflection, i decided to rent a shop in maryland, opposite mobil petrol station beside wema bank plc with all the money i save to start the gsm business. Those were the early days when we were selling sim card for 20k per unit and talkabout phone for N15k. I. was luck to employ a very dedicated salesgirl paying her N8, 500 while i earn N13, 500 myself. At the end of the month, i will be left with N5, 500!
The logic of this strategy is to test the water first before taking the plunge. The shop strategy did not work as expected but rather than quit, i changed the marketing strategy by deploying about 20 boys to major traffic prone areas in lagos from cms,P&T, Ojuelegba bridge, maryland-bank anthony etc to sell recharge cards in traffic. The boys were paid on commission not salary.
Within 3months of the new strategy, we had over N1.5million naira in net profit. Those days we only had MTN (N1, 500) and Econet (N1, 000) as highest and lowest denominations. I realised i have made about Ten years salary within 3months!
When i tendered my resignation letter, my boss was asking me how much were they offerring me where i was going, boasted he could double the pay. I just laughed. That was the last time i collected pay check from any one till date.
There were challenges no doubt but i my dtermination was far greater than any problem that could come my way. For instance, i had barely N300k then and each of the two network providers expected us to deposit N5million naira each to be appointed as a dealer. I met a friend working in Econet then who was helping me to buy my stock under a dealer's name till i could raise enough money.
Secondly, i was buying Econet cards on behalf of another dealer who was an accredited dealer with MTN. This strategy became necessary because you get discount based on volume you buy, instead of me to buy little of the 2 networks, i would buy only Econet for all members of my alliance while the other man. would buy on our behalf. That way we were getting better discount then.
Right now, i have left the gsm biz but will continue the story, may be tommorow God willing[i]Now, after graduating from the school in 1996/1997, i served in Adamawa state, shelleng local govt to be precise.
