PoliticsRe: Yaradua Should Resign With Immediat Effect! by Rosabelle(f): 8:48am On Sep 26, 2009
Something as important as the UN general assembly, which he has missed consecutively since his coming into office puts us in worse light than before. Whether he is nigerian like us or not, a leader has responsibility and we cant help him shenk that responsibility under the guise of being a nigerian like us. He is a leader and his job is to act for the people.
He knows he is ill and has been since he entered office. Instead of doing what might be right and getting things together, he goes on his personal escursions, whilst nigeria stays leaderless. This is what makes a coup easy to plan. The president is absent.
There is now the G20 which in the next 2yrs (caused by the global financial crises) would almost completely replace the G8. India and Brazil now have permanent seats on the G20. Where is Nigeriahuh A whole nigeria. Richer and more blessed than any other nation I know. Where is she? Our president is in Suadi Arabia!,  OPENING A SCHOOL

Sine1:
Any particular reason why you believe should he resign?
I think he is doing OK in my books. . . I wasn't expecting a Utopian society and a country is only as good as the people within it.
Because he is absent. Period. He is ill and is more in hospital that in his office, and even when he is in office, nothing gets done because he is ill. A country might just be as good as the people in it, and the leader always comes from the people, but the people can decide they want different. We should not be content with nonsence. And I dont know if you know this, but a leader can also fail his people, and thats what yaradua is on his way to doing.
PoliticsRe: Yaradua Should Resign With Immediat Effect! by Rosabelle(f): 8:09am On Sep 26, 2009
Im telling you. There is somethign wrong. War has never been the way forward, all nations who have had it still have the nasty scars till today, but people need to rise up in nigeria. We cant keep sitting down. A whole UN general assembly. He has NEVER been to one. He's always sending people.
See us we were abusing Obasanjo when he was travelling up and down (and even made it into guinnes book as most travelled president of all time), ase we didnt know worse was coming. This one has annexed his govenrment to saudi.

Just look at that wrecked, tattered and dying creature messing up. They should have sent some security there to pull him off the rostrum.
We're not the only nation with a useless leader I guess. The world is full of them. Foolish people all of them. They actually listened to the guys ranting a good 87 minutes. I was wandering why no one stopped him. I mean I know they couldnt have just pulled him off the rostrum, but it was a blatant insult on everyone in that assembly.

@mikeansy and bialegend, please take this your fight somewhere else. Abeg. The topic is too serious to start a petty fight. We're in the politics section. Abeg. Its too early in the thread.

I dont know whats going on, but Im scared. The guy seems to be more in Saudi than in nigeria. I repeat, Nigeria is too big and too great a nation to condone a president who has been on sabatical since he entered office. Theres something wrong oh people.
A whole UN general aseembly he has missed twice in a role. What is his plan for nigeria? I hope we're safe oh, cos Im not tribalistic, but you cant trust these northerners.

Epiphany:
Dont know how this will sound to you but i always tell people, 'if you have the money to buy yourself a benz, you should not be worrying about the cost of fuel'.
Epiphany:
. . . or the cost of its maintenance. Benz cars have always been for the 'select few' who will go to all lenghts and cost to maintain their cars and keep them running. Owning a benz that is ill maintained is a big SIN.
Looolll, When you know it, you know it.
Mercedes Benz builds cars, and then the world copies.
PoliticsRe: What's Our President Doing In Saudi Arabia? by Rosabelle(f): 7:18pm On Sep 25, 2009
@Poster. I thought I was the only one wandering. Its getting scary. Nigeria is too large and too important to have a President on sabatical.
I dont know what his game play is, and I dont know what his advicers say to him. I can only say, may the Lord help us oh.
Im not tribalistic, far from it, but there seems to be a down-ward trend everytime a northerner takes the rims of government. As if matters were not bad enough already. Everything has been at a standstill since he came into office.
At least with Obasanjo, there were things going on. Good and bad, there was movement. We had a president we could abuse for his actions and not his inaction

LOOLLL @Itohan, theres no 'in-between' in what you put there. There are WOLRDS apart and I can name a few. Here goes

1. after snoop comes Will Smith
2. after w. smith comes Denzel Washington
3. after d. washington comes Dwayne D. Johnson (the Rock)
4. after d.d Johnson comes Arnold Schwzenergger (of back in the day)
just to name a few, there are at least four more characters after Schwarzenergger before we get to your second guy.

OMG OMG lol, cheesy . SUCRE, lol. Lover boy.
I liked that he stayed true to the brothers like maedan said, and every good show needs a sucre smiley
But he vexed me on more than one occasion, cos scofield and burrows were busy worrying about their EXISTENCE and he just whines and whines about Marie-cruz. I vexed oh.
everytime they showed him, the guy was marie-cruz this marie-cruz that lol
But he was hawt hawt HOT in season 4 grin
RomanceRe: God Save These Girls by Rosabelle(f): 3:45pm On Sep 24, 2009
@Lord_Reed, I totally agree with you on the whole issue of girls in the west being easier. And thats why I think its the economy in Nigeria that pushes these girls.
Theres no excuse like you said, but still, have you been hungry before? Have you heard some people's stories? Have you watched your parents sweat and suffer just to make money to buy rice? These are what some of them face. What they do is wrong, but I dont think its right to judge them.
Thats the angle Im taking it from.

GEW:
who do you blame?
Thank you oh. Ask him. And what does Lord_Reed mean by "Abroad"huh? Where is "Abroad"?
Some countries have so developed their system that some of the girls who choose to go on the street "Abroad" do so willingly or out of laziness, cos the system most times would otherwise provide for them (not all, but a good 80%).
Nigeria doesnt even HAVE a system. Some young people watch their folks struggle and struggle and at the end, they get nothing. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
The poverty in that country is simply too much.
I would never encourage them, but what do these young people dohuh
Ive learnt something, you never know how a shoe fits unless youre the one wearing it.

so whats the news?? are those journalists that patronised those girls not encouraging it? besides why has it got to be calabar of all places?? this happens all over nigeria.
besides, we should stop castigating all these girls afterall it is the men that patronise them. my view is that if we men stop patronising them, they'll eventually run outta business and change.
so sound it aloud to all men to stop patronizing "these girls". shame on the men who do
Respect that a man also see's it that way. Its a two way street and both sides are to blame.

To qualify as an honorary Nigerian politician, you will be required to enlist as the 17th wife of a geriatric Nigerian from the Hausa tribe, whereopun you will assume the status of a FIRST LADY as soon the old fart rigs his way into political power. Once in that exalted position, you will be entitled to loot the state treasury to your heart's content, under a variety of "pet programs" that will all bear names relating to the aleviation of poverty, YOUR poverty, that is.
Good luck and don't forget to forward my consultancy fee as soon as you get your paws in the cookie jar.
lol. Im not exactly sure you read the posters initial question lol. WHAT are you talking about? cheesy

@Poster, if your story is real, theres no law against interacial marriage, its just most people wont take him serious if he showed up on the political scene with a caucasian wife. Its hard enough being taken seriously even if he was jsut a regular guy.
People just dont see interacial marriages as 'real', cos they dont see a basis for it. Sounds too simple an explanation, but thats how it goes down.

I loved that show and though Scofield was the absolute BOMB, I dont think he had to deliver as much as tbag did (acting-wise).
I find it unfair that Robert Knepper (Tbag) didnt get a single award.
His character was complex and his acting went to the top every season. He was entertaining, with his flip-mode character and dilusional future plans (not forgetting his very Alabama accent).
His character itself was a scumbag but you just had to love the quality of his acting. Tbag was my favourite on the show. And then Mahone, Abruzzi (though he didnt stay on too long) and then Don Self (I loved the guys greed lol).
Who was yours, PB fan?
TV/MoviesRe: Different Prison Break 4 Episodes by Rosabelle(f): 9:16pm On Sep 23, 2009
aieromon:
You're refering to Prison Break - The Final Break which came out as a DVD.it accounts for the 4years in between and shows how Scofield actually died. Some people erroneously think it is Episodes 23 and 24
Because it airs first in the States , I noticed viewers there didnt get to see the final break until the dvd came out, but elsewhere (where PB airs like 2months later) we watched the final break as episodes 23 and 24. So its not erroneous so to speak.

It was something of an after-thought by the producers to make the dvd sell like crazy and to go out with a big bang since everyone had expected Scofield died of the tumor(boring to them).
Personally though, it broke my heart to watch the final break cos that was a violent death for such a good person. Not fair sad

@Rosabelle
Pls where in my post did I advice him to steal? So is stealing the only way to make extra cash?
If she is not getting stirred up by wat she is seeing why would she compare?
Asking him to leave her just cos she said go n see wat your mates are doing is like killing a mosquito wit a sledgehammer. If she loves him n he tells her to be patient n she waits nko? Is dat not better?
Sir. This is what I said:
Rosabelle:
Dont advice the guy to steal (cos if he doesnt find ways of making extra money, he will).
I didnt say you adviced him to. As for your comment on him asking her to be patient. Its alright.
Point is, a woman will nto compare her man to other men. She will encourage him, but not belittle him simply because he doesnt have money.
RomanceRe: God Save These Girls by Rosabelle(f): 6:54pm On Sep 23, 2009
Yep. Unfortunately it happens, but one should also check out the poverty level. We might all say thats no excuse, but Ive seen people suffer, and unfortunately some girls think they have no way out.
We need counselling centres where girls (and young men too) can be spoken to. A place they can go to for advice cos the poverty in nigeria is simply too much.
I dont know if you live in nigeria poster, but the average government worker earns about 10,000 naira (if im not wrong) and many of them can barely send their children to school without some extra contract or outright stealing. Things are hard. No excuse, but these girls and those young men who are into internet scamming, I ask myself, what does one do to help.
Theyre growing up in an environment that has NO role-models. This is somethign every young person needs. We have a government that practically doesnt exist and these young people need direction. They need to know they can dream and their dreams might realise. If they dont, this is the result. Its sad an unfortunate cos Nigeria seems to be breeding a generation that will be worse than the present one. I soo fear the future of that country.

Lord_Reed:
The very tin u feared has come to b. She is now comparing your wit other guys shes been meeting n it's beginning to stir sometin in her. U are alrite to b concerned but baiting her is not the solution. First why are u broke; not working? Get a job. Job doesn't pay enuff? either get a higher paying 1 or explore ways for extra money making. Secondly U need to let her know dat u luv her n will make changes so she should b patient n u guys will work it out 2geda.
Thats the mistake you guys make. Later you people start to say women are bad. Meanwhile youre the one refusing to see the signs.
If a woman loves you, she will know if youre trying your best or not. A woman who loves a man cannot and will never try to put him down simply because she has seen other men who have money, cos their money wont shake her. IF SHE LOVES YOU.
Dont advice the guy to steal (cos if he doesnt find ways of making extra money, he will).
If youre trying your best and she cant see it, leave her. Let her go. Times are hard and maybe your time to hit pay hasnt come. Dont let any girl pressure you into doing things that might put you in trouble, cos there will always be men who have more money than you do.
Will you steal everytime she shows you how much they have?
Its good to impress a woman, but the minute she starts to demand it, let her go, she doesnt love you.

Ive learnt something in life. NO ONE has to believe in God. No one.
I dont see what the argument is all about. Initially, I felt the poster was in need of clarification, now I just see he's looking to fight as many people as he can. A typical NL characteristic.
If you are sure of what you say, then go your way. You dont argue about faith with people.
Faith is a gift, and not all will recieve it. Its like one person saying 2+2=4, another one says 5+4=9.
Youre not even talking about the same thing!

LOOOLL what do you mean by that

justwise:
1st u got trust issue, 3yrs is enough for u to know her.
2nd, For her to use those bolded lines, it means your rela/ship will be over soon. Get ready for the heartbreak. or start measuring up with your mates
Don't test her now cos u will get dumped
Very apt.

Her love for you isnt burning no more bro. No woman tries to put down a man she loves. Those words mean she's on her way out and is looking for an excuse. Better dump her first lol. Cos no matter what, she's dumping you.

Girls cheat for the same reason men cheat. Cos they want to and like iice said, they just lack selfcontrol. Theres no mystery to this whole cheating thing. Ive learnt if someone cheats on you, dump them, cos they aint worth it, and theres a 70% chance they'l cheat again.
Dont hang around long enough to find out. Dump' em.
Theres always someone out there who'l treat you better. So dont sweat it. Move on.
