I was shocked last week when in a taxi taking me to Slaughter from Artillery. Knowing that the pseudo hold-up at Rumuobioakani Roundabout was caused by men from Mini-Okoro Police Station (my guess) was not pleasant when we discovered it. When the policeman got to us, he shamefully came to the side of the car, at the driver's side and said "oya!". The driver grudgingly gave him money. I sat in front and so I saw clearly how much he handed the crook. I waited for him to return a change, but he waved us on. We left without Taxi driver collecting his change. Thereafter, I queried him why he would leave his change for the thief and he said they pay N100 now. Wow! "Why you no give am N50?" I asked him. "If you pay N50, them go search your booth only. But if you no pay at all, them go park you" he explained. I shook my head, considering the fact that he was only conveying five passengers who paid him N50 each. It meant that he earned N250 and paid out N100 to police men, and N30 or so to the [i]agberos[i/]. That man would likely get to slaughter with only N120. It was appauling. It beats me how people manage to survive sometimes. The Nigerian police makes life more horrible for the citizenry, instead of assuaging their sufferings. Nigerian police 'Bribe collection' is responding to inflation. I wonder when this would stop, if at all it will ever. |
Hello Candy, please look into and probably modify the bolded. Don't relent in your good works. |
mohjisolah:By "didn't go deep" you mean not having sex? For all I feel, I think they 'went deep". Lol! Candy please tell us. |
candy:Candy dear, I am here, fully behind you. Just been very busy busy these days. But not to the extent of not reading your updates. |
I am learning to write from candy. |
Hey McJANNY, Long time! I am loving this. No word about the man Kamsi left in the hotel room? I love Richard. More powers to your pen! |
candy:I am, just standing behind you. |
Nice read Candy. How was service? Ur family's good? God bless you. |
Trendy247:Not your first time does not make it right bro. A lot of advice has been offered you here, take heed to them. Insist on any of the following: Do a transfer Issue a chq Take the person to the bank if he insists on cash Wave the taxi you need, don't let them stop for you, especially if you just came out of a bank Above all, draw closer to God and be spiritually alert always |
Is removing their shirt "striping unclad"? That's all I see. If that's what you refering to, then remember, they are there for 'military' training. |
candy:Well done Candy. God's grace in your busy schedules. |
Hey Candy, how are you? Just to say 'Hello' and 'I'm still here, behind you'. I pray you remain good. |
too bad. The challenge I have is that some people reading this will still go peddle narcotics, or continue in their trade (for those not caught yet). They come back and try to intimidate hard-working Nigerians with their ill-gotten wealth, shame. As we pray for them to genuinly repent from their evil ways, let's also advise other to quit thinking of continuing of joining the trade. Evil is evil, let's condemn it. No sin goes unpunished. |
You are right, but there is a yoruba saying that: ki ile to pa oseka, n kan rere a ti ba je...(Before a wicked person reaps the reward of his evils, good things would have spoilt).[/quote]Hey Candy, this is one of the unfairest things about life. It makes me get so tempted to ask why God allows it to be so sometimes. So so sad, and the truth. Sometimes, the good things would have spoilt so so beyond repair. Life! |
sammy042:OP, I am handsome but not the bolded. I still know some guys who are not. |
You are absolutely right. But the truth is, even though they feel that way, it is not difficult to get them on your side, if you have the right words and acts that is. Your fiancee would find it difficult to believe you are dedicated to her alone, always feel you get a lot of attention from ladies and wouldn't just keep off from all (personal experience). I have also noticed that it is also like that in females. This has made me to always encourage any guy around me who's interested in a 'beautiful' lady but afraid she's hooked. Not all them fine ladies are hooked. |
Howmon:Lol. But na bad thing she do. Portions fail upon expiry anyway, leaving lots of damaging side effects on the initiator. |
Howmon:Bro, why the bolded if I may ask? |
Plaitex:Ofcourse, this one is automatic. Mrs Seriki is plunging herself into a bigger mess. She should have just paused and let things roll, for Tobi wouldn't have just thrown her away, not after all these years. Candy Dear, you are the person. We're still following. |
Good work Candy. Fire dey go. |
candy:Aw! Sad to hear. But the truth is, lots of horrible things happen to people everyday and it is concealed due to one reason or the other. Some have gone to the grave with dark secrets. So sad in this unfair world we live in. But another sad fact is: we have what it takes to absorb the things that come our way most times. Sad world. |
candy:You are right my dear. True talk. |
Ishilove:I am looking at this news with one eye because of the bolded. Which bank did they present such chq through? Do you know that in Nigeria any chq above N10M is not valid and thus cannot pass through the clearing system. So how come? |
Candy my person, well done. Help me ask madam ty, na now her mouth come strong to tongue-lash Smart abi? Mrs Seriki is desperate to hold something so as to get away with her mess. I am waiting patiently. |
Meringe:Mehn, I thought he bought them over. Can military be used like that? |
Natural hair is the in-thing now. For big girls. Me like my woman natural. |
Meringe:You sure about this one? |
UnknownT:Ok bro. You are right. I used to think otherwise. |
UnknownT:I think TAO is also eyeing the same seat, I have seen posters of him being 'urged' to go for senate. They should unseat Chukwumerije anyway, he's been there for too long. |
Omg! Is this man human? I'm almost in tears. How could he have just terminated these beauties' lives and carrear like that? Fornication breeds all these vices. He had not even married her. People need to give their lives to Christ. |
hyfr:I feel differently about the bolded, because none of them is innocent. But rather, I feel both are eyeing the same seat. |
