US Open - Fan faces jail for Nadal embrace

A Rafael Nadal fan, who breached US Open security to embrace the Spaniard courtside, faces jail time after he was charged with interfering with a sporting event.

Nadal was in the midst of changing shirts after he beat France's Gael Monfils when the male fan leaped out of the stands onto the court in Arthur Ashe Stadium and put his arms around Nadal before kissing him on the cheek.

Noam Aorta, 23, of Queens, New York, who sprinted past courtside security to reach the 23-year-old Nadal, faces up to one year in jail and a $5,000 (£3,023) fine for criminal trespassing.

District Attorney Richard Brown said in a statement that authorities took such security breaches seriously after previous incidents including that of former world number one Monica Seles, who was stabbed in the back by a spectator in 1993 in Germany.

The stabbing severely hampered her career.

"For me it wasn't a problem," Nadal, who appeared unruffled, said about the encounter. "The guy was really nice. He was a great fan, he said 'I love you' and he kiss me."

Djoko v Fed - interesting fixture. . .
Djoko has the potentials for an upset but i'd rather love to see another Nadal-Federer block-buster in the final. . . . highly unlikely that any match, talkless of a final, btw these two can ever be anything but a cracker!

Doesn't matter how old or shitty Murray is, important thing is he's still got years to play and as long as he remains in that top bracket of men's tennis, he will get the opportunities to win a GS!

Murray is a good player. . . . might not possess the fitness levels of Fed & Nadal - me guess is, he's got a psychological problem or something; when he comes up against the big-guns, most times he just sort'a fades away. . . don't think the britico press is helping him that much - must be a great deal of pressure on his young, frail shoulders.

CareerRe: Project Managers' Forum by RuuDie(m): 5:57am On Sep 08, 2009
Avenir:
It might be easier to provide relevant advice if you can give a little more information about your professional background I mean what you're doing presently. For example, it might be easier for someone who is already working as an IT professional (in any capacity) to get into IT project management than someone who is not. Same thing goes for construction or any field for that matter. Please note that the above analogy is for someone getting into project management for the first time in UK (I don't know if same thing applies in Nigeria). That is not to say that there is no future in getting certified first and getting into project management later in a field where you have no background. The advice will be more specific if you're able to provide additional information.
Thats my particular point of interest, IT Proj Mgt cuz i currently work in an IT position.

It appears Proj Mgt is quite relevant to just about every discipline imaginable. . . . i'm very much interested in taking a short at it - how do i get started? where can i get registered and stuffs like that?

@ semid4lyfe,

i believe u guy. . . .  all d time na coach dey hang, 4 1ce make players too hang sef!

Did u see Dunga open his mouth to talk thru-out the Argentina-Brazil game huh So the fact that Amodu didn't talk doesn't change anything.

This our useless players; na only to waka about form big-boi dem sabi. . . . . okay, with Amodu's shambolic tactics and lack of technical know-how, you have managed to wobble & fumble into pole-position, were they forbidded to use their discretion to see the game off to a favorable conclusion huh  angry

Abegi leave coach for 1ce and hammer those yeye players - they always go scot-free and return to do the same things over and over again!

Ajangbadi Fc record-breaking deal

Multi-billionaire owner of Ajangbadi Football Club of Waterside-Igbo Boundary, Rasheed Okorikoko 1 is planning a major transfer coup that will shock the entire football world as he seeks to build the "Ultimate Galactico."
Sources say the agbero-tycoon who owns a number of motor-parks across the country is planning to break the banks to acquire the services of Bebeto, Stoichkov, Letchkov, Roger Milla, Stephen Tataw, Valderama, Higuita, Jorge Campos, Omam-biyik, Kostadinov, Suiter, Chapuisat, Salenko, Platt, Romario, Panucci, Baresi, Zenga, Baggio and Dunga.

SportsRe: Nigeria (2) Vs Tunisia (2) on Sunday 6th September by RuuDie(m): 12:10pm On Sep 07, 2009
We can shower blame on the coach as much as we want. . . .  but if GROWN ASS MEN like the 1s in the SE squad cannot seize the moment and use their initiative on the field then they should share a massive portion of the blame!

For chris'sakes this guys are supposed to be PROs who have so much exposure, so much experience. . . . they can't tell me they were waiting for Amodu/Amokachi to scream at them from the touchline to "fall back and mark" or "keep possession of the ball" or "slow the tempo of the game" huh  angry

Even a JSS football team would handle the situation far better without the guidance of their PE teacher- 6 MINUTES only and they don't know what they should do, PLEASE!

Amodu might not know jack about football. . . . . but last night, as far as i'm concerned, this players have shown they are far DUMBER!
For FCUKs SAKE. . . .  none of them on the pitch could take charge and organize the team; doesn't always have to come from the sidelines!

TOTAL RUBBISH
