Family › Re: Can Someone Who Decides To Live A Single And Childless Life Be Happy? by saasala(m): 7:14pm On May 16, 2017
Tokziby:
Its highly impossible. The reason is simple, human are social animal meaning that we cannot survive without being around people. Human are easily bored especially when u live alone. Living alone is dangerous cos u can develop illness at any time and when there is no one to call, u are as good as dead. Majority of people that live alone surfer in silence, they are never happy either because they are not married or childless. Living alone also has psychological effects causing the person to be a saddist, get upset easily or over thinking.

In the developed countries where old people live alone, they usually die of depression. That is why they have old people home where they can interact with their fellow mate and live a longer life. In places like Nigeria, u will discover that they are the nicest of people, this is because they want to lure people around them and always have someone to chat with. That is why they prefer to live in the village where they have friends than to live in the city where their children will leave them at home doing nothing and nobody to interact with.

In case u are planning to do that its never the best thing to do. You might enjoy it when u are still young but the moment u reach ur forties expect something different.

Celebrities › Toyo Baby Left Because Funke Akindele Was Paying Her N3000 by saasala(op): 3:02pm On Apr 28, 2017
It is confirmed that Funke Akindele and Juliana Olayode, who plays Toyo Baby on Jenifa’s Diary, have parted ways.

According to TNS sources, Funke Akindele removed Toyo Baby from the series over what the latter termed ‘bad pay’.

The source revealed that Toyo Baby was cut off from the popular TV series for requesting an increment in pay which didn’t go well with Funke Akindele who feels she’s an ingrate being that Olayode rose to stardom through her appearances on the show.

Sources close to SceneOneProductions, producers of Jenifa’s Diary, further revealed to TNS that the producer of the show, Funke Akinkele via her production manager and younger sister – Abimbola – pays actors between N3,000 and N150,000 (per episode/season of the show) depending on the role.

According to our findings, actors Lota Chukwu, Omotunde Lolo 1, Falz (who has also left the show) and Olayode are the highest paid actors who take home N150,000 per season. The rest take home much lesser money.

Stars like Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa and others who have had cameo appearances on the show reportedly got between N100,000 and N300,000 for ‘showing face’.

You will also note that Juliana was absent at events and parties that held at Funke’s house in Lekki.

Funke and Juliana have also unfollowed each other on their social media accounts.

Could this op be my husband speaking?

Same way I told my husband last night, that he is a murderer, why would I be living in a family house as if I am living in a prison when I know they don't like me?

They always feel insecure cos they feel I come from a richer background and won't have respect

Everything I do to please them will turn to another thing.

Op you know why ?cos my husband failed to defend me because he is a quiet type.
Why are you guys living in a family house. Why not rent an apartment.

Trust me, your hubby's family might not be as bad as they appear, but living in family house has caused all the disrespect. You guys should move out and see the magic. The more you are seen, the more respect you lose

Between 55 and 65. Not 65. It could be 55.1 you know. But seriously if you want a good house with very good foundation, solid blocks, confirm cementing without managing cement, rock solid decking that can last a 100 years and more with good finishing touch (Correct tiles, confirm aluminium windows and roofing, ogbonge plumbing with fine shower poles, cubicue or bathub, hot water system, Fine paiting and solid intelocking stones with small flower kerbs), plus the fees of an experienced and good engineer and accepting the fact that you will be cheated (Trying not to be cheated could get you a bad house in the long run except you are into building yourself) you WILL spend that much

The truth is in this era of 'slay queens' and 'instagram celebs', it is very hard to find a 'single', 'beautiful', 'intelligent', 'mature' lady that is worth settling down with, 'almost' every fine girl now has the 'runs girl' mentality and even our musicians like Yemi Alade are not helping matters, what type of song is "If you love me you go buy me ferrari, if you love me, you go pay me salary"huh! Gone are the days when ladies used to pick their partners based on 'prospects', now its based on 'wallet', the annoying part is that even the 'working class' ladies too have also developed this 'runs girl' mentality that my man must reward me financially, as if relationship is now 'employment' angry
Egbon, the bolded really struck me at the spine when sometimes last year a banker friend hooked me up with his beautiful colleague in the same office. Her salary is 230k according to my friend and I am not doing bad too. This lady was turning me into atm machine, asking for Gucci and what you. I had to run for my life.

We played really below expectation today. The defense formation does not suit Zouma, there seemed to be confusion everytime at the back. Moses was not just in form and Conte didn't help matters by moving away from his original position. Matic's poor performance costed us a lot. Diego Costa deserves to be on the bech game after game,he was just too bad,he seemed confused everytime he was on the ball. Fabregas would have been better as a starter. Arguably our worst performance of the season. 4 points is not a small margin afterall. We are still going to carry the league. Tottenham plays Leicester and Arsenal next and I see them dropping at least two points. We should remain positive still. Everyday is not xmas... Chelsea till I breath my last.
Romance › Re: Should I Marry This Single Mother? by saasala(m): 6:12pm On Apr 12, 2017
destinel:
Hi guys, I seriously need your opinion on this matter. Please take your time to go through my story:

I came in contact with this single mother of two kids in my church. This lady has every good character you want in a potential wife. Shes so selfless, God-fearing, down to earth, caring, very matured and willing to die for my love.

So we got really close, talking and started dating, it was then I discovered she had had two kids before, I couldn't believe my ears.
From her explanation, she really had a very rough past. she was dating a guy she really doesn't love.
After having a kid for him, they separated due to some reasons; then 2 years forward the guy came back begging, she agreed and then the second kid came.

Few years going forward, things really got nasty. The guy impregnated two other ladies, making her very depressed and frustrated. So she left him and had since over 7 years now been with the two kids and the guy had since then neglected her her and not even bothered about his kids; mind you, there was never a legal marriage between the two of them.

Now on my own part, I was a virgin when I met her. So she was the one who disvirgined me and we had intimated a couple number of times of course we felt guilty, remorseful and sorry for it cos it was very wrong of us. I really do love her though and she loves me, there were sometimes on three different occasions we had to break up cos I felt I couldn't go ahead with the marriage, but she falls terribly sick in the process and I myself I couldn't handle the feeling cos I always miss her. So we make up again

My pastor doesn't see anything wrong in our getting married but advises we pray really hard about it. Now, I'm quite worried the kind of resistance my family members will put up if I bring that type of lady for marriage cos there this lady ive been dating for years, she happens to be a virgin, so there was nothing intimate. I think I lover her too but not as strong as what I feel for the single mum.
She kind of broke up with me saying she needed time for herself and education, so I let her be. It was in the process I met the single mum. But we are still good friends, we talk, we laugh gist and all.....
Baba, dont you dare it o. There is more to marriage than love. Love is not enough reason to get married. The two kids will have strong negative impact on you forever. I have been in your shoes once, she had one child but had to borrow myself brain.....PLEASE, DONT DO THIS TO YOUURSELF. She will get a single father to love her more

Christianity Etc › Re: Atheists In The House. How Are You Coping? by saasala(m): 12:03am On Nov 01, 2016
Seun:
I think atheists' best strategy for success is to stick together. We should befriend each other, date each other, etc. We like to think of ourselves as being unique but the truth is that we have so much in common. Atheists get along extremely well because we all use the same system to figure out what is true and, because of that, we tend to arrive at the same answers. Even when we disagree, our disagreements tend to be in areas where the facts are not so clear, so our differences of opinion do not bother us at all. We are not dogmatic. Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins totally disagree on whether we can get morals from science, but it's a pleasant disagreement. There will be no bitter quarrels over this monumental difference in opinion. OTOH we've seen imams fighting because one of them dared to suggest that the hijab is not compulsory.
The bolded is not one I will agree to about atheists. Atheists are the most dogmatic people I have come across in life. They have so shut their hears and understanding agaist the existence of God that when you try to explain certain things to them, from their countenance to their first speach when they try to defend their father "Charles Darwin" it is clear to you they are not giving your points a single thought or consideration.
Christianity Etc › Re: Flying In My Dreams by saasala(m): 12:55pm On Oct 30, 2016
sotall:
I dont see anything wrong in what you are experiencing. what you are experiencing is called " lucid dream". I have it atleast twice every week.

In those dreams I am able to float in the air and control my movement using my consciousness. I am always happy in such dreams because people I see in these dreams are amazed at my ability. What really amaze me in these dreams is that I know I am dreaming and can control myself to do whatever I want in the dream.

I had once had a dream where I was standing in my street in the dead of the night. Then I became aware I should be home by this time as there was nobody on the street. So I started walking home but thoughts of the gate being locked and everyone at home already asleep flooded my mind . But I forged ahead and told myself I will be recognised by my voice. I got home and knocked on the gate and in no time I was in the living room filled with many people both young and old . A quick glance at their faces tells me these are people I have known before .They were all busy and I couldn't talk to them. Then as I looked up to go to my room, I became conscious that I (my physical body) was fast asleep in the other room. This made me ( my spirit ) to become curious and wanted to gain entrance into the room my physical body was lying. I struggled with the door but couldn't gain entrance until I woke up. This is an example of a lucid dream. It is completely normal and you shouldn't hurt yourself trying to tie it with any negative attribute.
I also have also seem things that eventually happened in the future in my dreams just like you . It is nomal and it is your nature. Don't create any problem for yourself from it.
@ babz007... Listen to this guy. I have been flying in my dream since I was around 7 years old and still fly till today that I am 30. If it means anything, it is GREATNESS. you gonna be one hell of a great guy.

So I was inside the Ikotun market today to get some foodstuff when I heard people shouting blood of Jesus, some speaking in tongues. I turned back to see this beautiful owl trying to escape from a shop. The man in this picture hacked it down with a thick rod. Everyone said it is a witch in bird form.
