PHIPEX: Several reports on Nigerian teenagers has it that 50% of Nigerian teenage girls have been pregnant atleast once by the age of 20. If those reports are true then we have a greater problem on our hands.Don't get it mixed up. I am pretty sure your statistics is not a result of promiscuity but largely because of child marriages especially in the North. |
davidylan: and you will be responsible for providing that child with a stable family environment? and you will be providing that child with food, clothes and filling the fatherhood void in his/her life? Yeah the baby should live but sleep on a hard cold floor because the father could care less? Yup the baby should live but have no medical insurance, be passed around from available friend to family member when mom has to work? Yup the child should live but literarily have to beg to be fed? Yeah the child should live but be deprived of having clothes to wear, no siblings to play with, no father-figure to shape/guide?No mind am. People love to give funky philosophies without an understanding of the implications and pragmatism of their "funk". They just love the feeling of being funky. |
jmoore: Then those who are rich but suddenly are now poor should kill their grown kids because they cannot afford to feed them anymore and provide their basic needs? Enough said!!What a lame retort. Know when you have lost an argument and stop the "I no go carry last" arguments. |
coogar: adoption in nigeria? But the streets will adopt the child na. ![]() Or you think all those areaboys are not adopted by the harsh environment they live in? |
davidylan: he was one of the lucky millions. At least his "parents" were smart enough to put him up for adoption by foster parents well prepared to raise kids. What of the over 99% who roam the streets today victims of broken homes? For every Steve Jobs there is a Bill Gates born and raised in stable families.Modification: For every Steve Jobs, there are 100 Bill Gates born and raised in stable families, and there are 100 [ex]convicts primarily as an unfortunate result of being born in the same unstable family set-up as Steve Jobs was born. It really irritates me when people try and use exceptions to form a general judgement. |
^ Lol! Sagamite and his sharp retorts. I think what the guy is trying to say is that giving birth to a child outside of wedlock doesn't always mark the end of a teenager's life. Granted, getting pregnant as a teenager, under most circumstances, is stupid but one can still steer one's life back to it's right course after birthing the child.
I hope he does not say that, let me allow him to explain himself. ![]() jmoore: should I finish up the story for you? Please do, bruv. |
Bloody products of a failed education system rush to believe an aprocryphal news report, based on un-named sources and circulated by an unknown newspaper, without performing any form of verification. FUCKTARDS! Until I hear a monarch or his representatives confirm this happened, I don't believe this junk. |
jmoore: Genevieve Nnaji was pregnant at the age of 17, She gave birth to the baby. And so? |
davidylan: my cousin had a child at 15, the dude denied paternity and has not shown up since she got pregnant. Dude is busy enjoying his life with no need to feed an extra mouth while my cousin is sitting there juggling school, working and being a mother all before she was even 18. Who will marry her now? Bros abeg stop am.In Nigeria, very few men would. They may hit it for the short term but most would not put a ring on it on the long term because of (1) the burden and (2) her reputation of having a kid at 15 would not go down well with extended family. At best, she can expand her pool of men by focusing on divorcees and widowers. |
If she is to bear the burden- her own burden- for life, why don't you let her decide what she'd do with the pregnancy? Why would you coerce her into aborting the child? After all, regardless of if she keeps the child or not, she bears the burden anyway. From what you have said, I think your decision of abortion is aimed more towards saving the grace of your family than punishing your daughter.
Leave her to make the decision? As in she has shown good judgement so far by getting pregnant? |
beblessed: I called my female cousin this morning and was informed she just put 2 bed her fourth child. She is now happily married 2 her childhood sweetheart who put her in the family way about fifteen years ago. When it happened, hell was let loose and infact she was disowned by family members. Only a distant childless aunt nurse her and a baby until she was sent 2 husband's mum. My cousin suffered hardship. The gist is that life has turned better for her and she is doing so well wit her husband, whereas some of us who made mockery of her condition are yet 2 settle down! Am happy she did not abort her now beautiful daugther. How do we make life easy 4 pregnant teenagers, especially in our culture n family? What utter rubbish! We should use one case to shape our perception of an obvious regression to socially "acceptable" and "embraceable"? |
Another Okija: And the person calls Jonathan Retardeen...I call him retardeen and I call you person! ![]() |

GiwaRuwa: Dana Air - Some Things You Need To KnowYou will know this write up is a moronic conjured lie by a cretin when you read the highlighted. So the staff were working more than 24 hours a day on average? |
MacLovington: Get off this your high horse. What makes you think a Nigerian would not be allowed to own an airline in India? |
baysol: Only in Nigeria can Indian criminals operate in this kind of fashion. One thing is certain, why allow foreigners to operate local flights when the Nigerian operators are not given the right support. Government have to put legislations in place to facilitate operations and regulations in the avaition industry. You'll find out that this criminal indians cannot even get an operation license in their own country India.Only in Nigeria does yeye things happen because we hate ourselves more than even outsiders hate us. Obviously looking by the developments it is palpably clear that somepeople are not doing their jobs in the aviation industry in Nigeria. Not a profession for the half-baked chancers and cycophants we see all around Nigeria. You are a person! Why shouldn't foreigners be allowed to do business in Nigeria? What support should Nigerian operators be given? Cretin! You would soon say you are a university graduate. |
oppykay: A friend called me on friday from ibadan to confirm it. Saying forms for all Southwestern states are deposited @ ibadan and each person is xpected to appear in person before collecting the formOne has to travel all the way to Ibadan to pick up a form before applying for a job? What a fcked up country! The society is designed and operated in such a way to make life as difficult as possible for the citizens. The complete juxtapose of a Western society where they try to make life as easy as possible for the citizens. |
I hate it when moorons like Tony Usidamen try and play smart and insult intelligence. So if it is not an Indian company how come he can't name the owners? The foool thinks he can play with words by stating because it is "registered" in Nigeria, then it is not an Indian company. They know majority of humans are foooools so they are playing with words and ambiguity. So only firms registered in India are Indian companies? |
Good article. One thing that was wrong and typical of the way women try and use moronic words to make men do what they [women] want done is: eyemeka: 1. You’re a Bitch. Here’s what I mean by bitch. I mean you’re angry. You probably don’t think you’re angry. You think you’re super smart, or if you’ve been to a lot of therapy, that you’re setting boundaries. But the truth is you’re pissed. At your mom. At the military-industrial complex. At Sarah Palin. And it’s scaring men off.Because some men are sane enough to know they don't want to and don't deserve to be with a bad-mannered, classless cunt does not mean they are scared, it just means they are not interested. A man choosing to go and eat Chinese instead of Mongolian food is not scared of Mongolian food, he just prefers Chinese food. A woman choosing not to give her number to a man that sees her on the road and says "Biatch, what's your number" is not scared of the man, she just prefers a man with manners. The part I like the most in the article and which I have repeatedly stated on NL is: eyemeka: 6. You’re Not Good Enough. Oh, I don’t think that. You do. I can tell because you’re not looking for a partner who is your equal. No, you want someone better than you are: better looking, better family, better job.I will never commit to a selfish woman. Don't get me wrong, I will shag but it would be like a black on black crime: A hit and run. I would NEVER live my wonderful singledom for a super selfish arsehole that thinks I came to the world to make her life heaven while she does jackshit. Basically, the modern day L'Oreals that only think "me, me, me". |
marutimon: ENGLANDThe stats suggest to me that our main strikers should be a combination picked from the above. Kalu Uche can be converted to support striker if not playing offensive midfield. marutimon: ScotlandAnd this batch should be outside chances we can test in friendlies. |
excelproperties: Who represent we will test , you ? I never knew you would change your words about Nigeria at least i made you do that with my crap tory the same you labell as scam , positive story that would insult your intellect. What else does your reply to my words as crap implies , your comprehension level either direct or indirect is low.not intrested in conversing with human slaughter.HIGHLIGHT TO ME WHERE MY POST IMPLIED OR SAID "land/houses cannot appreciate in Nigeria?" I wait. |
excelproperties: Offcourse you did, you call the analysis of land/houses/properties value appreciation a scam, this is a true to life issue,a land bought for 400,000.00 in the year 1988 can-never be sold at such price especially when owner has a c/0 ,land survey ,fenced and not in Government Aquisition ,no omonile problem, i am saying what i know that is real if you wont and cannot invest in property in Nigeria its your decision which is not an authority on others, believe or not , a man when he was 35 made some money bought 25 acre 3 million each acre for 120 thousand ,each plot for 20 thousand naira, the estate valuers estimate it now for 2 million per plot, per acre 12 million ,the whole 25 acre 300 million asking , the memorandum of understanding for the sale is been prepared by a lawyer even as i write ,buyer confirms c/o , land surveys .fenced as well, i dont think any bank would give any customer an intrest with such a margin, moreso there is a tendency for a failed bank issue, property investment for those that likes it is indeed good ,you have rest of mind , less stress, low or no running capital ,not much watch on economy situation, the land is just there in the bush/forest/underdeveloped/local place in no time it is turn to good money as development comes to the area. This is only for those with the interest in property investment in Nigeria,no need to thrash naija, sometimes some people interest is in ikeja,vi,ikoyi, ajah wake up and invest in other areas and still make profit , would you not rather invest now,it true that it pays. Markerting strategy ?yes offcourse for a good purpose.genuine property consultants excel properties.07044061892.Cut the crap tory! Show me my post that said "land/houses cannot appreciate in Nigeria?". We will test your comprehension in public here. I wait. |
excelproperties: oh i see i wonder how many people you have slaughtered for not supporting and accepting to say Negative things that would make your intellect happy, a mooron is someone that does not share your blind personal notion, hope you think before you write. You are indeed a comedian ,your statement is funny.Nigeria has viable property investment that is true , land/houses appreciates year by year .the amout you buy it this year is not what it would be the following year , secondly its good to have a home over ones head ,hope that does not get you more annoyed.cheers.And where did you see me say land/houses cannot appreciate in Nigeria? You lack comprehension? |
enitan2002: This plane is still much in very good condition according to my personal view.SMH! Fck democracy! |
excelproperties: @sagamite,Positives and hope on an investment in NIGERIA is really insulting my intellect. It sounds so ridiculous if positive things and hopes in Nigeria insults your intellect , hope negative things about Nigeria would make your intellect happy, very funny indeed.one mans meat is another persons poison, you can decide to stay abroad invest all overthere and spend your whole life till death comes without having anything back home its your choice, it is also a personal choice to look back at home to invest. Property investment in Nigeria is viable.Don't be a mooron! Don't ever try to strawman me again, do you understand? You can get seriously slaughtered if you do. |
Neither governors, senators, reps, ministers or any other high ranked individuals was involved nor any person from presidency, to me it sound like a set up. Just my opinion.
This is the second completely stewpid thing you have said on this thread (after the "declare national holiday for families to mourn" ). This is not the thread I would wish to address it but it might really make sense to keep your opinions to yourself now. |
Lilboots: Manifest of Dana Air that crashed in Lagos -So sad! |
Beowulf: It is a damned shame what goes on in this country. I happened to be working in a Nigerian commercial bank that was one of the lenders that financed these Dana planes. Another friend of mine was part of the lawyers that worked on the documentation of the financing. These Dana planes are 22 years old! The engines are refurbished and we raised these issues during the transaction but nobody listened. Everyone was eager to close the transaction and move on.My blood is seriously boiling! Right now I am just seeing red. |
I predict there would be a union strike in Nigeria in the foreseeable future. Put your money in my account for prayers. |
meerkat: I was reading an update on the European transfer market this morning and the amount of money being mentioned as weekly pay for those players started me thinking. I read some players are paid £175,000, £150,000, £130,000 etc weekly and when I converted it to naira, it ran into millions. And I said to myself, "these players and their generations to come can never know poverty. On a second thought remembering what taxation in Europe is said to be like, I want to ask; is the amount tax inclusive? If so how much is the tax percentage? Are there other deductions? what is the actual amount a player earning say, £150,000 a week go home with? Can anybody in the house satisfy my curiosity.A footballer making 150K would probably be taking 75K home a week after all deductions (tax and NI). The fact that they live and are expected to live very expensive lives does mean that logic of their generations not wanting is shaky. |
