lacasera14: You helped Amaechi become governor, he compensates you by making you chief of staff and nominating you for ministerial position. Now you say he wanted to truncate your approval by the Senate which is laughable enough and shows how dumb you must think we all are. You helped Amaechi based on grass roots politics as a chairman and you were served rightly. So suck it up and move as if you didn't rig your way into Rivers State as governor with help from Jona's wife. The only crime Amaechi did was join APC which is silly enough to have PDP deciding who's a political sinner. Amaechi is wike's master in Politics. He helped wike before they fell out in Jonathan's administration. |

ogmask: The only thing ameachi did, which in my opinion was right, was when he said the next gov should come from the riverine. What wike said is a slap on the face of the wetland area of rivers state. Amaechi did not fight a personal fight rather he fought for equity. You know the truth Wike knows that the Riverine deserve the Governorship position. We will not make the same mistake we made in 1999. Rivers Riverine Governor 2023 |

mightyhaze: She has good CV no doubt.but her region has done 8 years presidency and by 2023,another 8 years vice presidency in just 23years of Nigeria democracy... Nigeria has 6 regions and fairness and equity demands that presidency be rotated fairly evenly. In the south where the presidency is supposedly zoned to in 2023,the southeast has done 0 years in presidency,0 years in vice presidency..but her zone is greedily trying to take anoda 8 years of presidency ,to add to 16years of presidency and vice presidency. If Nigeria is interested in equity, justice, unity and progress the best thing to do is to support sb from the southeast..the next manageable option is picking from Igbo speaking southsouth region..
And lest I forget, there are definitely thousands of women from these two regions whom their pedigree greatly dwarfs that of this woman, who will sit very well as the country's first lady.. Oluremi Tinubu is not from the West She is from Delta State in the south south GZ |

tolajay: Have you ever been respected or disrespected based on what you have or don't have?
In my residential area, I noticed that people greet me in a special way whenever I'm driving, but the degree of enthusiasm drops once I decide to walk.
At the banks and companies, security officers usually give people special treatment because they flaunt car key or affluence. But for "keys in the pocket" crew like me, they look down on us until they realise we have cars too.
In church, some people practically inflate the respect they accord me.
I get pretty worried by such act of ingenuity, low-balling, sycophancy, plastic-humility and money-worshipping.
Needless to say, na poor (mentally and materially) people dey do these things pass. It's sickening.
Too many Nigerians are money-driven and regard people because they have money, regardless of how they get it. This is one of reasons many do/will do anything just to make money.
We have no value for values. No premium for principles. No consciousness for content. No cheering and craving for character.
For one, I detaste being "regarded" for what I have rather who I am and my content and value.
Please share your experience of when people regarded you simply because you possess something. You said the truth This is an issue that calls for sober reflection |

"I developed asthma because I have inhaled too much of soot on the atmosphere in Rivers State"
"A girl died of snake bite because of poor plumbing"
"A building collapsed and killed many because the Architect laid a poor foundation"
"I found her fingernails in the soup, because of this I fell ill for days, I spent a lot for medicals"
"I developed cancer because of the toxic gas which I was exposed to in the company I worked"
"I developed high BP because of a long usage of piritin as prescribed by my pharmacy"
the above are scenario where Tort was comitted. (if you want examples which might relate to your situation, consult me personally with a professional fee).
If you can establish and prove tort, a compensation will offer a substantial consolation for that injury or grief which you may have suffered as a consequence of someone else's negligence/nuisance. It may fetch you a fortune. It is however unfortunately that we tolerate everything in this part of the world. Yes, Law of Tort is a 3unit course offered in the University by Estate management students. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I Tell My Boss I Got A Second Job? by sageb: 4:49pm On Dec 15, 2021 |
Robertkenny: Mr. Okoli Gideon
I would say, it depends. In my experience, your employer would like you to be thinking about your job - especially if you are in a professional role - even when you are not at work. Earlier in my career, I asked my boss if I could work part-time for him so I could work for other companies, too. He said “no,” he wanted me to be thinking about the issues with his company even when I wasn’t “at work.” I was the chief financial officer of the company which was pretty small at the time. If that is the case with you, then you probably shouldn’t tell your boss you got a second job.
The situation is the same if you are contractually obligated to not work for another organization.
If you don’t have that restriction, there is no reason you need to tell your boss about what you do in your spare time. Right? No, you only do that when you have resigned from the coy |

Due to the situation of the country right, i mean with the number of unemployment rate out there
Is it advisable to go for a post graduate course or a professional courses just to have an edge in labor market?
I was actually thinking about going for a professional course in estate management, since Geography and planning sciences is not sellable in Nigeria apart from the military’?
Can anyone Suggest the step i can take just to have more edge in labor market?
Mods
Please help me to move it to the right side
All advice are welcome Since you are a Geography major, I opined that you learn ICT skills that is related to your field like GIS, Autocad, et al. Furthermore, you can get ICT professional certification from firms like Aptech, NIIT,etc. |
